I'm also not a fan of gritty frosting which is why I often steer clear of most buttercreams. Thank you for all these no-grit frosting recipes! It's been great! I used the white chocolate cream cheese one on a cake a couple weeks ago and it was perfect. I will no doubt be trying this one as well.

Tried it out today and all I can say is that this is prolly the best way to make buttercream. Some are quite "hard" to eat Idk how to describe it and some are waaaayyy to sweet but that one is perfect. I still had to add a bit of powdered sugar cause for my taste it wasn't quite sweet enough but for my future buttercream cakes I'll use that one ^-^

I've tried the plain version, but I am definitely looking forward to trying all the other versions. This tastes even better the next day. I'd suggest making the frosting the day before and refrigerate to allow the flavors to combine.

Mmmm.... delicious. You know you could add housemade coffee liqueur. What I do is add vodka and fresh coffee beans (any freshly roasted coffee beans is preferable). I put the coffee liqueur at a dark place and let it stand for 2 to 3 weeks. Then I put this coffee liqueur to flavor icing, macarons, cakes or any desserts. This is more robust coffee flavor. Condensed milk buttercream, this is an awesome recipe. Thanks for the tips.

Anjana Kumari that sounds very odd. Was the cake completely cool or still warm? Can you send a pic?

I used instant coffee granules but you can use whatever you prefer drinking.

Yes you can but it's best to swap out some of the butter for shortening as I have done in this video for better stability ruclips.net/video/lAL_30tX3QQ/видео.html

How should I replace the flavour with cocoa powder? Do I just add cocoa powder and mix? And how much would be appropriate for this recipe ?

Hi I am trying to find your recipe for condensed milk buttercream without any flavourings... I could not find it. What are the amounts of butter and condensed milk used in the "basic" recipe? Thanks a lot

Do you know how long this last before it goes bad? I know the sugar in American buttercream helps to extend it's shelf life but because this one uses milk I'm unsure. TIA

I wouldn't leave it out for long either because of the milk, especially in hot.humid weather. One week int eh fridge, 2 months in the freezer then bring back to room temp and re-whip.
