  • In this first of 3 parts of "Tim Talks..." we begin a discussion of spinning wheel maintenance; how to adjust and keep your wheel working as it is designed. All of this information applies to nearly all types of spinnin wheels in use, not just Kromski. Wheels are mechanical devices, machines if you will. Different wheels are more similar then different. There is lots of wood, metal ans sometimes plastic parts. Parts need to be assembled and need to work as a team with you as the captain.
Tim Horchler has assemble, adjusted, and used nearly every major spinning wheel make and model on the market. Let his 32 plus years in the business keep you and your wheel performing trouble-free.

Thank you! This video is so very helpful. I just purchased a saxony style wheel. It is unmarked, so I am not sure who makes it. It has leather bearings & I was very unsure of how to maintain w/ them. They look very dry. Now I know what to do :-) Thanks, again!
