was always my dream to build this bike , it´s my favorite movie and is the best bike in my personal opinion, very good work congratulations, greetings from mexico
Especially when taking back control after AMF wrecked the brand. But sadly the 90’s where the last of the true American Haley’s. They’re more foreign than American now.
I think this bike is built on an FXR. I contacted Bartels H-D several years ago. That's where the movie bikes were built. I said bikes because the owner told me there were three built. One was in a private collection. He had one in the show room for sale (the price was $80,000.00 at the time) and he said Mickey Rourke got the other one and a friend of his rode it to the store near Mickey's place in Miami and crashed it. He said it was totaled. The original name of the bike was Black Death III.
@37Rusty I think it sold for about $12000. In today's economic times you could get a rolling chassis for about $3000 or less and modify it. Get a good used engine +trans for under $5000 and have a pro replica for well under $10,000. There are some real good deals to be found on custom parts & components these days if you are willing to do a bit of hunting, and you could build one up for even less. This bike was built around a Harley Dyna chassis (90's model) and used an S&S107ci engine.
@Loxleiev These FXR type HD are not made anymore but they can still be found, I ride a Triumph but this FXR and other Dyna family in HD are a very quick and agile bike. Of course not in this custom condition but shit it looks good. Most Dynas and FXRs can be found under $9k, just shop around. FYI most of the bikes on Sons of Anarchy are Dyna Super Glides.
Looks good. Sounds good. What's not to like? Hope that is a softtail suspension hiding under there so you can ride for hours on end. Just taking in the wind and the sun. Gotta love it.
to each his own, I'm more of an "original" but then again we are a follow the leader kinda world these days. glad I grew up in the 60's when pans and knucks ruled and shovels were next to come!!!
The Engine from the bike in the Movie was the Evolution Engine that Harley came out with in the 80's(The movie takes place in 1996). The knucklehead did have a good sound though.
Saw that bike being built at Bartel's Harley Davidson BEFORE the movie was shot!!! CLASSIC RIDE, but hasta be one rough ridin SOB!!!! Cool looking has it's cost.
@beas1977 Yeah, the vid was put up in May 2008, and the bike was sold June 2008. The new owner floats around here in the comments section but may have re-sold the bike since. I will post his user name if he grants permission.
@192toby It's the exact copy of Mickey Rourkes Bike on Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man. A hard-tail FXR by the looks of things, probably the sports-convertible due tot he duel discs up front. My dad has an FXR, we might do the same with it.
@rosynet7 .....Chill out bud...The vid was only intended to display the bike for sale. It was a hot afternoon after work, so I had one of the lads from the shop ride it around the block so I could get a little vid of it in motion, thats all. Don't take it all so seriously, we did not make the vid to get approval from the internet style police.....
That is a sweet ass ride. But it looks super uncomfortable. I understand it’s not meant to be comfortable, but there’s nothing like getting on a nice comfortable cruiser and putting some miles in.
That kinda looks like a Wide Glide (at its core) modified of course. I'm just sayin if some one wanted to create a tribute bike (not exact replica), they would be on the right track using a Wide Glide frame.
I think it was built by a company called Carefree Customs...not 100% sure on that tho. I believe there were a few made by them and another company, don't have any specifics...sorry. There are people out there who have alot more knowledge on the bike than we do. We were just selling it on behalf of someone.
Your best bet is to just keep googling for it I guess. You could try seeing if there is a bike builder around who could build you one. 75cents to the dollar eh! I'm coming to NZ in April, hope it goes down to .65 c for me, hehe
Looked better in the movie with Mickey on it also I’ve seen a lot of nicer bikes built since then it was like that bike is awesome back in the day but now a days that’s old seen a lot of nicer bikes that were built buy guys with lots of cash this would not be worth that much to replicate the coolest thing is the tank that’s what makes this bike that’s it in my opinion I’ve seen so many bike that would blow this away since then but I’d say it started a craze after the movie I think every one wanted a Harley after this movie
Falta que se te suba la rubia atrás !!! Felicitaciones! The only thing you need is the blondy girl on the back! Congratulations! (and sorry for my english)
@dickdiggler2 I didn't know they used the bw3, The original that got stolen was a sporty chopped, Hard tail etc as mickey is short. But totally my fault, I searched it and it seems "everyone" claims to have an original, And all are different except tank. But you are correct about this bike.
was always my dream to build this bike , it´s my favorite movie and is the best bike in my personal opinion, very good work congratulations, greetings from mexico
This is my dream bike! I have had 13 Harley’s because of the movie
I read your reply in the other vid, and i agree, my dream bike. I just sold my bobber, need something like this!
I'm in love with that bike since 1991...! :)
The Evolution engine was one of Harley-Davidson's greatest achievements. A great engine indeed.
agreed
@@russellnorton9940 , finally I get a reply…9 years later!
@@charger19691 your welcome, im in canada, and we have a bit in common
The evo was a great engine but not a lot of hp by today’s standards

You have no clue what your talking about. Quit misleading people if you don't have a fucking clue
I would kill for this Harley!! Owned a few but never owned anything as cool as that.

OH yes, this video makes me smile and smile and smile.
~Queen Joan~ Louisiana Bayou
All these years and countless copies, and people still can't get it right. Makes me laugh, thanks for the chuckle. He he he.
Where's yours?
how to make the engine sound so bassy and deep like that? is it just the pipes or some other adjustments??
thank you
Beatiful custom, good job
Fabulous this chopper, like the movie. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
What a great choppa 😍. Love that film
This Harley still smoking Marlboro, for this he had this sound
Beatiful, a dream every motorcicle
Loved the bike in the film, looks wicked 😃👍
Looks good.
Sounds good.

Awesome...
Love that bike :-)!!!
I met you or maybe the guy who built this bike in the Waihe Pub one day, if it was you, you might remember I came in on my black bike,
You forgot to loosen the air filter cover 😂 great bike dude 👏👍
That was the first thing I looked for when he started the bike! 👍😎
The Engine from the bike in the Movie was the Evolution Engine that Harley came out with in the 80's(The movie takes place in 1996). The knucklehead did have a good sound though.

Хочется посмотреть поездку вовремя дождя😂
LEGEND
Always wanted this bike
THAT is the exact Harley I want. For me there is no other.
@barajona2 Not if it is an FXR like the description says. That would be an FXD. This is an older low rider frame.
Love that movie. That is one sweet bike. The only way it could've been better is if it was an Evo motor :)
I love that bike and the sound
I want that bike!!
dang man. very cool. no suspension in the back would kill me though.
the real bike was called black death 7 and isn't owned by a hells angel. luv the effort on this one though. good work lads.
@beas1977 Yeah, the vid was put up in May 2008, and the bike was sold June 2008. The new owner floats around here in the comments section but may have re-sold the bike since. I will post his user name if he grants permission.
are you selling or giving us the middle finger because we don't have one?
Wow a simple fxr looks so tough 😉
I love this bike
@192toby

very nice bike I wish I had a chance to own one of these. Cheers man.
Nice bike! Tank geometry seems off though. The real bikes tank is kicked up in the front a bit giving it a distinct angle.
Like the original! Good work! Nice bike!
@rosynet7 .....Chill out bud...The vid was only intended to display the bike for sale.

I love this bike ! im gonna get one next year hopefully !
im in love with that bike
a beautiful machine

BIGGBADDWOLFF its an FXR

its my dream to own harley , i will get it soon as i get my bike licence
Sure is a dream ride 4 lots f dudes & amigos 👍🏻 👊🏻 😎
hey the air cleaner cover didn't raddle around like it was a washer short to tighten like the movie LOL
This is not a Dyna Chassis, this is an FXR chassis, as was the original.
@dickdiggler2 The original HD & MM bike was a custom 1200 sportster no FXR or Dyna. Maybe a couple parts, But not even close. Look it up
Your best bet is to just keep googling for it I guess. You could try seeing if there is a bike builder around who could build you one.
75cents to the dollar eh! I'm coming to NZ in April, hope it goes down to .65 c for me, hehe
Nice harley you got there man, i love the sound off a good ol knucklehead engine :)
knucklehead? That's an Evo. Not even close. Did you learn the word knucklehead somewhere?
Love this bike!
I Love it..greetings from Italy !
ROCK n ROLL DADDY-O ! ✌
I don't know where you could get one from now. A custom builder might be able to build one for you. Ask around.
Kounts Kustoms will build you one....just get out your checkbook.....LOL.....I'm guessing $50,000
I believe the drag-bar is shorter on the original. None the less, great copy.
Very cool....like to have that along w/ MaddMax interceptor,,,
Awesome Bike…Thanks for sharing...
thats cool to have lots of cards to show people you like to play cribbage or hearts
can enyone tell me what harley Michael Douglas rode in black rain
No we didn't build it. It was built by a company in NV I believe. The motorcycle now resides in NY.
I want one too!!!
Один в один,как в фильме!
Anyone selling a bike like that ? Been trying to find the part list for it and I can't
yeah it was a mistype. there is a seven getting around though. some bloke from Hong Kong
3 people rated thumbs down?
Couple of Peter Puffin rocket riders if you ask me.
Nice turn signals, man!
Yep.
what a sound!
SWEET RIDE !!!!!!!
HarleyDavidson 😍😍😍😘😘
Really badass!
Tasty! Awesome bike.
Falta que se te suba la rubia atrás !!! Felicitaciones!
The only thing you need is the blondy girl on the back! Congratulations! (and sorry for my english)
Google "The BPM's Jeff Morris Official Video." It's a great biker song. You'll love it.
nice bike.....from a kool movie!!!!
Look at that awesome engine wobble
yes it was
love it, too raked out for my tastes... but i guess you stuck to the original right?
nice, nice, nice, nice, nice bike, i'd like to get one like that. how many changes did you make it?
Very Nice !
what is the price of this bike? i have an audi tt 2000 and i want to change
Love the bike but the music kills it.plus that bubble noise the pipes are making is horrible .apart from that COOL 😎
@dickdiggler2 I didn't know they used the bw3, The original that got stolen was a sporty chopped, Hard tail etc as mickey is short. But totally my fault, I searched it and it seems "everyone" claims to have an original, And all are different except tank. But you are correct about this bike.
Sweet bike.
SEMPLICEMENTE UN SOGNO DI CHOPPER
mate i really love this bike always wanted it every since the movie.is this the real one or is it a repilca?i cant believe it sold for 12000.
Did this start as a soft tail ?
it was a fxr in the movie
Can you tell me if you cut the top or bottom section of the frame to make the rake?
Es mejor el sonido de la motocicleta q la música
Whats the rake on that bike there? Any rake in the trees?
That's a bad lookin the bike
What is this type of HD??softail??
