In 1972, maybe 73, in our little town in Montana there was a yearling bison bull that was traveling by jumping fences heading south. He showed up in a pasture behind the house. He stayed for about ten days then moved on. Odd to see one alone and jumping fences traveling. Ha, maybe he wasn’t so odd after all.

They were migrating animals over the plains before fencing went in... as a result they were not eating over each other and had a varied diet... natural behaviour so fences do not matter...at least the smart ones do nor go through them

My chickens would all lay eggs in one hidden spot in their coop, so i collected those eggs, plus the eggs in their nest boxes. Nobody got broody and tried to sit on the hidden stash, and they all looked so innocent i did not suspect anything. One morning i heard a lot of cheep cheep cheeps outside my front door..there was one hen strutting along with 24 chicks following. Where did they come from? They laid a decoy nest for me, while One or several hens sneaked out of the fence, and laid her eggs in the woods somewhere but came back at night, and i didn’t notice her missing for 3 wks while she sat on them..I had a lot of chickens, that supposedly stayed inside their fenced yard..Yeah, right. chickens seem dumb, but are very smart. Mother hen brought those chicks up to the house to show them to me…the little darling.

We yelled, the cows are out and hurriedly got dressed. We ran the cow feeder and tried to herd the cows back to the barn. Wasn’t too happy with holes in my lawn! Oh BTW, my favorite cow was #54. or impale herself, that was my first thought, been there done that, had a foal about a month old chased over a barb wire fence by another horse, the barb wire was not the issue, the issue was the t-post that was in the way, she ended up cutting her chest so bad that you could see bone and her hear beating. Thankfully she survived but her whole chest area was dead to any kind of feeing, she could stand and graze over a 1/8 mile 3 strand electric fence on a 210 fencer box (enough to knock me - 5'11" 275 lbs on the ground out cold) and not feel a single zap. Any new electric fence had to have flags on it and had to purposely wet her head down and make her touch the fence with her nose so she knew it was hot and stay away from it. Worked about 98% of the time, the other 2% not happening if she could see a snake, right thru or over it just to get to the snake to kill it.

😂 might want to invest in running a strand of Electric (Premier 1) along her favorite cross fencing gymnastics location(s)
Got to say, she’s athletic. Smart girl!

Looks like Y'all gonna be getting some horses to me. Glad they found your eggs while working on the barn. The ponds are beginning to look good again. Hope you can get that bison to quit being a jumper. She made it look so easy. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

Easy fix run a portable energizer unit with hot wire along the top of the posts or run the standoff brackets that sit about a foot off either side of the post that way she hits the hot wire before she gets near the fence

Would it work to move the #54 cow to the other farm?

Never a dull moment on the ranch. When you fill that saddle rack, don't forget to get the rest of the tack and the horse too.

To demolish berries use my friend's recipe:
1 gal white vinegar, 1 pound epsom salt, 1 cup dawn dish soap,
    Increase as you need it.
This does well on oily leaf plants and kills them. Even with ivy plants as the dawn cuts the wax on the leaves.

The thing in the barn is a saddle rack. Are y'all gettin horses?! 😯 LOL! Love watch your channel! Keep on keepin on! God bless! 😊❤️

Shirtless Jake rode Little Joe @Daniel’s place, maybe he’d like to try riding 54. 😆 Looks like your setting up the barn for an event center, great idea ( weddings, birthday, retirement parties). Is that saddle stand for Brooke’s pony ?

You gonna start saddling up your bison? I've seen folks that do that. I think Dunbar and Big Joe would be the most popular things in any parade! 🤣😂
