Stuck in quarantine and rewatching old videos of yours. It’s so funny to see how just a year ago you were stumbling over names and hadn’t heard of certain plants... now you own your own rare plant shop and have all of the holy grail plants. 🌿🌱🍃✨ Love watching people grow! Love your videos, too! 🖤
Jan 2019: struggles to pronounce "siltepicana", hasn't seen a spiritus sancti before.... 10 months later: has two spiritus sanctis, a siltepicana, an obliqua and all kinds of holy grails plants. I'm amused, and so happy for you!! :D :D
Exactly! I’ve been growing for a while - but this just goes to show you. Be nice to the newbs, too. 🤣🤣🤣
Kaylee here “I wouldn’t want this in my collection”
Kaylee two years later be like I LOVE MY LYNAMIIs THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL
we all been there hahah
I have a simple tree philodendrun that I've had since 1976; she was in a 4"pot and now she's all grown up living in a 24". This plant has moved with from home to home in 3 states. Philodendrun is a hardy genus and lovely regardless which species you choose. I enjoyed this video, thank you again Kaylee.
“me-la-no-chrysum”
one year later: massive melanochrysums on a LIVING WALL. kudos to you kaylee
I was looking for a recent comment. Holy cow, the growth of this channel!!
With money anything is achievable! Jk
Here from Jenna Marbles podcast and ready to become a plant Dad :)
Xqual I’m already a plant nerd and a Jenna fan. I just watched the podcast and squealed.
Me too ❤️ This week’s podcast was my absolute favorite!! I’ve been a plant lover for about a year now and love learning new things about them :)
Me too plant dads
Please make this a continued segment :,) It's refreshing to learn something new besides the pothos and snake plant (no hate though 💛)

Maybe I am lame, but my favorite is still the good ol' heartleaf philodendron. I love the shape, I love the texture, I love the color.
The philodendron prince orange are very common as outside plants here in Australia!
Really? Must be why I'm looking at the wrong section at bunnings for it!
The philodendron prince orange is rare in Iceland
Omg stop. I'm from the Netherlands and I have to pay 40 euros for one that in a 17cm pot
I have a Prince of Orange and it doesn't look like the one in the video.
Well Australia itself is fairly uncommon so there’s that
I’m down the plant rabbit hole of RUclips and loving it. The correct pronunciation of the “ii” at the end of some of these plant names is “eee eye” though. So plow-manny-eye is how you’d say that. 😊
I had no want for freaking house plants until I stumbled on your channel. Now here I am making a list of wants. I BLAME YOU!!!
Yeah, me too
Please do Calatheas next! They're my absolute favorite houseplant to collect.
You're such a great plant RUclipsr. Very nice high quality plant videos with good info :,) 💛🌱🌹

"yellow vein-ing badboy leaves." love your descriptions!
Love how you dove deep into the plant research and then shared all your findings with us!!! Great work!!!
Listening to you describing philodendron leaves help me fall asleep! And huge props for the research
So crazy.. I watched this video shortly after you released it and for some reason it just popped up again. Remarkable how much has changed in the plant world over the past 3-4 years. Anyone can go online now and get all of those plants easily and almost all of them for under a hundred bucks, they may be small but you can get them. Not to mention how many new varieties and cultivars are available now.
This series is GENIUS! thank you!!!! 💕
OMG you did such an awesome job!! I loved your video of wish lists, but this is an extreme list holy man!! How on earth do you even find out about these??? LOL.......I've only heard of a few and I did watch I think Summer rain Oakes doing a tour of NSE tropicals...I think thats what it was and shows rare plants and huge.......but my dear girl youve nailed it soooooo perfectly...loved this video and hope you can get some of them for your collections!! I doubt I will any time soon......I still don't even have a monstera or a prince of orange yet...lol
Yeah that NSE tropicals tour was so cool! It's so nice to have all of these listed like this, thanks Kaylee Ellen!
These videos are fantastic! Love hearing about these different types of plants, you describe them so perfectly!
It is so surreal to come back and watch this immediately after watching the end of your docuseries

I'm here from JennaJulien's podcast and I'm so glad to see I guess "plant youtubers" around!! I learnt so much, I didn't even know what variegation was and it's gotten me so excited about plants
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! Get it girly! Xoxox
I love this series 💖
I love the Pink Princess, and when I locate one I'm buying it, I love pink plants. I love the Calathea's and the Peperomias, the money plant to be exact. I just got a Philodendron Brazil, and I love it. I really like your videos on rare plants, sought after ones, just some in general. I'm looking forward to your next video!

I love your idea of making this a series. You should!
Ok, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE your makeup....every video!! This eye look is particularly on point 🙌🏼👌🏼
.....and of course I love the plants!
Thank you Kaylee! Your videos are so full of educational and insightful info. I love Philodendrons! (Among many other species.) So this was like a super fun show and tell of plants, that though I may never have, I can learn from none the less. I wanted to share that I just recently found what appears to be a vining Prince of Orange. I've looked on the internet to see if I can find info on them vining but I haven't come across anything specific. Except one brief reference to them coming in vining or shrub like varieties (which I can't find again,) and I've gathered that the Prince of Orange seen for sale now is a "newer variety" that is selfheading and so grows in a compact shrub like shape. The one I have definitely seems to have a vining growth pattern, however, and I think I am going to need to stalk it as it gets bigger. The garden center where I found it can have some unusual plants finds, and I just felt that this plant was a bit on the unusual side. It was the only one they had, and it looked like they'd had it a while. Who knows, maybe it's just taken on a different sort of shape from the growing conditions they had it in, but it does look different than the bushy plants I see when I google it. So anyway, it was fun to hear you mention the Prince of Orange, as it's been a rare plant find for me. In fact, plants are fun! and just bring more joy to our lives. Peace!
This is great! i've been wanting new plants for so long but everything bores me so much... It's all so common. But this really helps so thank you!
Binge watching Her vids- funny how she has 3 Florida ghosts now!
Me too, starting at the beginning to see how her entire plant collection changed!
Very interesting video, thank you. My wish list has certainly grown since watching your video. I'm new to your channel but it looks like I'm going to enjoy it. Thanks again.
Just listened to the jenna and julien podcast and i’m in love with your videos! Especially the rare plant index series💖
I am rewatching this now and it’s so cute! „I don’t know much about monstera..“ 😂 In just 4 months you became a full-blown serious rare plant collector and basically an expert!
😍 great video as always. thanks for the inspiration. I’m planning on transitioning to dark, velvety, sort of rare plants.
Please continue this series! Thats so interesting 💛
I like this segment idea. Please keep doing them.
This is so interesting, thanks! :)
Awesome video! You also look BEAUTIFUL in this video (and all others as well!!!)
You did well on the video of Phil's.they often sell them on orchid shows as well. Some are hard to find as you mentioned.some country don't have even opportunity to get them.. I did enjoyed. I have half of the collection that you posted. Plants are lovely.plants make people happy. .thank you
Oooh philodendrons!!! *drooling*
I really enjoyed this one ☺
Loving these videos, you and your plants are beautiful 💚 can you do one on Pothos ?!? Not sure if there are super rare versions but they’re so awesome! Rubber plants too :) can’t wait, never miss your videos
I just started watching your videos and holy! I spent so much on rare plants lately its painful, thanks for the info but it's hard to just look at these rare beauties! 💚🌱
NOW I WANT MORE PLANTS!! Thank you for you knowledge and research, had a hard time between white knight and wizard!!
Watching this after watching all your recent videos haha. Love the difference. 😂❤️❤️❤️
Definitely one of my favourite plants 😍
I was drooling over most of these when I was on NSE Tropicals website last week. Of course they were sold out of everything I wanted. Good thing because I'm on a no-buy as well. Thanks for the fun video. I'd love a peperomia video!
Thank you for making these videos! I've recently gotten into plants and it's hard to find good info sometimes.
Oh no, this is fanning my aroid addiction. What a time to be on a no-buy. Instant sub! P. gloriosum has been on my list for a while, as has the hastatum or "silver sword" (which wasn't featured but I'm sure you've come across). Can't wait to binge your other videos.
Thanks for sharing! I’d love to add a Pink Princess as well as the black ZZ plant to my collection.
Please continue making these episodes! Just subbed, to not miss any videos :)
Hey :) thank you so much for your sub! There is a playlist on my channel for this series.. theres 4 videos total 😁
I was looking for this channel & stumbled onto your other one. Loved those videos too! Any plans to revamp powerfool? 😁 Would be great to see some of the type content from that channel brought to this one! 💕🙌🏻
Thank you ,very informative .
Nice plants! ☺️🌱
Thank you for this video:) I am very happy and excited to see this series coming 😍 I loved the Pink Princess, the mamei and patriziae. None of them I have encountered in Poland but surely I didn't search quite hard😉 During your search have you come across such philodendrons like Lime Fiddle or hastatum? Could you also please add the plant list below your video? That would be helpful, at least for me. Thank you again😊
Hi! I really enjoyed this video!! I purchased a philodendron Golden Goddess but seeing your pics I think it's a Thai Sunrise!! It's looks exactly the same and it's beautiful! I found a new tropical plant store in my area Jordans Jungle and they have lots of different tropical plants 🌺 I'm so happy to have found it!
I imagine that a monstera edition might be in the pipeline, very excited for this :)
such a cool video. love the idea of the ranking haha reminded me of like pokemon rarity
congrats to 100k :)
By the way any of these types of videos you make I will surely watch them.....well done!!
love your make up! How majestic!
Watching from Canada!
Loved this video, would LOVE if you could do a video on sansevaria!!!
Thanks for the inspiration 😊😊😊
Oh look new best fren!🐸🌱
I'd love to see one of these videos on Anthurium!
Hi! I love the vids, keep them coming ;) I found a new Philodendron I had never seen before online, the Philodendron grazielae. Had you heard from it? I believe it's one of the future 'it plants', just look at it! wish I could find any of the philodendrons you mention, I live in Costa Rica, perfect weather to grow most any tropical plant but really hard to import things, so not a lot available in nurseries or online. Keep them growing :D
Rare plant index ideas: caladium, hoya, syngonium, begonia, pothos (may be too small though), ferns, orchids, sansevaria, ficus, etc... love this series so much and super excited for more!!
I absolutely love philodendrons!!!
I want to find a pink princess or white knight, I can't decide and both are in the uncommon section for my area or so I've been told. And for the next video, hmmm, something maybe more of a common plant, I'll vote for pothos.
Nathan Pardy they are on eBay here and there. Mostly in the summer time, that’s were I got mine.
Thanks Nichole!
Really great concept. ...u introduced a lot of new philodendrons to me. Cant wait to see more from this series! Perhaps you can venture to outdoor plants too.
Side note: to get more hits and trend, I would recommend you changing your title to common to very rare plants list. You'll get more hits with with people searching for "common houseplants" or "rare plants" or "rare plant list" .... just think how people tend to search for things and make it your title.
Love the video! Calatheas next!
I love watching your videos..i am also collecting philodendrons and i so love it. Am your fan from Philippines! More power to you. God bless you!
Rewatching this and seeing Kaylee struggle to pronounce all the Latin names that just roll off her tongue now is very endearing. ❤️
I just watched the 4th shop video. Thanks Kaylee, now I need a plant wall. 😂
I just got my first Verrucosum and it’s even more gorgeous in person! Seriously, if it’s one anyone is interested in but you’re on the fence….GET IT!! They don’t even look real😍
Hi Kaylee, great video, beautiful plants! You should stop apologizing!! You’re doing us a favor 🌿🌿🌿 not the other way around. I’m now very excited to go and watch the Calathea one 🤩 thAnks
I’m a newbie to house plants and I’m loving your videos! Could you do a video focussing on Ferns? 😍😍🌿
Would Looooove more videos like these
The Pink Princess is on my daughter's wishlist. My house is in amongst forest trees and very dark so my plants live in the lightest room in the house....the bathroom! I have an 10 yr old Bella Palm. I have been told it is hard to keep so long because of spider mites but mine is healthy so far. I have heard that if a plant name ends in 'ii' it is pronounced 'eee-eye' but there are many pronunciations out there and probably sound different spoken by different language speakers. Thanks, and looking forward to seeing and learning more! I too love Marantas and Calatheas.
Thabks for the video, I have add a few more philodendrons to my list, but Pink princess and white moonlight are on my list for a long time now.. ❤️ 🌱. I hope I can find a nice ones 🙏 x
