How about hatchet fish
@@apnatva Arent they those creepy fish that live super deep
@@bigmoose7 pretty sure you're thinking of angler fish.
You know what's crazy I had goldfish with cherry shrimp and theire ok
Yes, I thought my green Cory's were peaceful.....I have no shrimp left! ~~~ Lesson learned!
My betta definitely loves cherry shrimp fry
Im gonna try this on my 15 shrimp only tank.
I just started this year! 🦐
What’s the fish as 6:18 ?
Yay,, thanks for all the great info😊
also guppies go really well with them they are both really peaceful together mind there own business oh opps u mentioned it i was writing this at the start of the video.
I was like "wait... that's not Cory’s voice" 😂
Same😂
Got ur 100 Like over here and same
Same!
I was like "Wait, this isn't GirlTalksFish"
It’s Irene 😭
Like your smile 😃
My betta is living a friendly life together with cherry shrimps and galaxy rasboras. He occasionally tries to eat the newly born shrimp babies but they are too quick and he seems to enjoy the hunt. I can’t promise he haven’t eaten a baby occasionally. But I have never seen it and the shrimps are multiplying. (My tank is heavily planted)
I kept cherry shrimp with a Betta once. Went a year with no problems until I was stuck away from home for 3 days. That was all it took for the Betta to get hungry enough it eat half my shrimp. I had to retank my Betta to save the remainder of my shrimp.
I'm surprised there was no mention of white cloud minnows.
Pea puffers will leave the adults alone but it'll be an all-you-can-eat buffet as far as shrimplets go, and of course if you have snails in the tank they'll go for those, sometimes right up to ones half their size.
ill never forget watching my new chili rasboras decimate my neo colony in a matter of minutes . didnt even eat most just ripped them apart
love you irene
Threadfin rainbow fish do great with cherry shrimp
What do you think of endlers with cherry shrimp in a 20 gallon?
Hillstream loach is a good tank mate for cherry shrimp.🙂
My kuhli loaches loved eating my shrimp
I have tangerine tiger caridina shrimps with my fire red neocaridina shrimps.
I am planning neon Tetras with shrimp 🙂
My green neons are savage lol they will literally eat the guppy fry in my tank
One more thing that would be helpful to know is which fish will multiply quickly. I’ve learned some will not breed in fresh water or in captivity.
Personally I don’t want to have 6 schooling fish and come home one day with an extra 30.
I love my kuhlis! Only 2.5 inches now
I do have a betta fish and cherry shrimp in a 55gal long. I have no problems
Well, that's a pretty big tank for both. I imagine they don't get in each other's way much!
I have a Bolivian Ram that gets along with the shrimp
I have 8 shrimp 4 cherry and 4 others I can’t remember the name off the top of my head with 2 mollys 2 guppies and a Betta and it’s been 3 months and so far everyone has been peaceful
White Clouds especially young ones do fine with Neocaridinia.
I have a betta that lives peacefully with his shrimp neighbors but I had honestly forgotten there were a few ghost shrimp livi😢in that aquarium when I added him. He is a very placid betta and does not even seem to prey on the guppy fry. It’s weird.
Can you use an aquarium decoration that has glow in the dark paint on it in a shrimp tank?
Marble hatches could work with shrimp
honestly, only way to have fish and shrimp co-habit is if the shrimp colony is already strong and breeding at a rate the fish can't eat them all. so basically very heavily, dense planted tank for the shrimplets to grow and hide.
I was about to mix shrimps with dwarf gouramis. And it’s a 50-50
My "peacefull" rummynose turned into piranha when i released a pair of cherry shrimp.. lesson learnt.
I was today years old when I learned that Gamer’s Wife’s name is Irene. Haven’t kept up much with the fish-tube world this year, so this was a pleasant surprise :O
She re-branded to Girl Talks Fish from A Gamer's Wife.
All I can say is Kuhli Loach ate every shrimp I had.
I have a betta in one tank with amanos, and a dwarf gourami with cherrys. Guess I lucked out with two mellow males.
Can I keep them with harlequin rasboras
my shrimplets like to crawl all over my frogs and cories like they're some kind of carnival ride.
What kind of frogs do you have?
@@brans7269 i assume its an african dwarf frog
Dwarf frogs eat shrimp
I have a Betta with neon tetras as tank makes for my shrimp and nothing has happened! My betta was very used to tank mates though at the pet store! :-)
I have the same thing 5 neon tetras 1 red Male betta 1 snail & 5 cherry shrimp in my 10 gallon they all got bought within a week but the all Been together 5months no problem
Can you suggest neon sp that suitble for shrimp?
My glolight tertas are doing great with my cherry shrimp
You can be casted as Lin from spirited away if someone makes a movie with real humans
My dwarf powder blue gourami runs from literally everything, even small tetras, lol.
I saw that neon tetra ate baby shrimp
I have goldfish with shrimps and they are very okay with each other
A Lampeye is a killifish too... However my cherry shrimp and bee shrimp are literally bigger than they are and call the shots.
6:10 how about Hatchetfish?
I have neon tetras
I think pretty much all fish will predate on shrimplets
@Jartopia wow your channel is fascinating
My gold white clouds completely leave them alone. They like to stay up top and I only see them try to nip one if the shrimp swim right in front of them. They always get away:)
I had a few hundred shrimplets at once in my 20 long with white clouds
@@feltysaquaria819 my white clouds generally leave my shrimp alone but they don't breed as much with them and I'm sure that they are eating a few babies on the occasion.
All fish will eat baby shrimps despite what people say. Female Guppies/Endless I've seen first-hand t as king out junior shrimps
My betta is free to eat all the cherry shrimp that she wants........ she just has to catch them first!
And in a heavily planted 4 foot tank with deep rock piles, that doesn't happen very often XD
I'm definitely experiencing my shrimp getting out-competed by snails, though. Ever since I got a colony of ramshorns going, I've noticed a huge decline in my shrimp population. Used to have at least 50-100 with babies all over the tank, now I have to search just to find one.
I put a red ramshorn I bought in a different tank from the get go and moved my adult trumpet to the same tank despite it seeming happier in the shrimp tank 🙁 plus the baby when it got big enough not to be eaten by my Betta due to this concern.
I was told male Betta's are good due to the size of their mouths, kept mine together for ages until I saw it eat an adult cherry shrimp who was swimming. My betta eventually died and then my tank came to life with shrimp who seemingly were afraid of it and were hiding mostly until that time.
Its kinda sad how when talking about providing hiding spots to protect themselves from fish we don't consider the stress on the shrimp. On the other hand I had a colony that used to hide but came out more when I got guppies. Depends on the fish maybe. The other reality is the role of fish in keeping the shrimp population under control while also having access to live food.
Just saw a kooli loach devoured a baby shrimp
Large plecos are definetly no problem. I keep a MASSIVE female in my 180L tank and the cherries thrive and just reached over 200 individuals!
My cherry barbs went for shrimp double their size.. expensive week that was. Went fine for months then BAM one tried it.. rest followed.
yup....when they know its food...they will go after em
I keep danios with my shrimp they are fine together
Hatchets would probably leave them alone as well as taking up some surface area.
Omg.... And i just bought cherry shrimp and crystal shrimp and put them into the same tank....
Hi Irene! What about betta in nano tank with red cherry shrimps?
We’ve had good luck with our cherry shrimp and White Cloud Mountain minnows. 15 shrimp & 10 WCM in a 15gal planted tank
Do the WCM ever eat the shrimp? I’m considering a similar set up!
Threadfin rainbowfish appeard to be safe, it's not really a rainbowfish, it's pretty small and more importantly - it has small mouth and narrow esophagus which means it just can't eat shrimps.
ive had success with 4 cheery shrimp and 9 neon tetra, that being said i have a large rock pile in one corner.
In terms of surface dwellers, I'm wondering how hatchetfish would do with shrimp. 🤔
What about top dwelling hatchet fish?
What about dwarf African frogs
My goldfish ate my shrimp , thank god I just put one
I love Irene’s voice! Her content is so visually engaging!
I love Irene's smiling style of delivery and voice modulation!! Great content, always succinct and well organized.
Seems like a practiced voice...
I believe my endlers ate all my shrimp. I had hundreds of shrimp and they all disappeared once I introduced endlers to the tank.
How about congo tetras?
Have blue eyed rainbow furcata- no problem with shrimp. Green Brian’s and harlequin rasboras. No problems at all. Shrimp swim through the whole school of them and never touched.
My rainbows ignore shrimp😂
What about White Mountain Cloud Minnows?
What about Synodontis Petricola?
What about African dwarf frogs??
What about swordtails?
Can bumblebee goby good tank mates for shrimo??
I have a few with pea puffers. The puffers came first, and when I added the shrimp they were VERY curious at first. I keep them well fed with snails and live brine shrimp, and so far I have yet to notice any shrimp missing, or even being harassed for that matter.
Lets meet up sometime
Clown Kilifish is fine. Tested and no issue living peacefully with shrimps.
Would Hatchet fish work?
Damnit
I wanted a couple gourami as a centerpiece in my community tank 😪
My platys are eating my shrimplets. I haven't caught her on camera but I've seen her snatch up a few 😬
What about Platys? I bought 5 cherry shrimp yesterday and only see one today… Hope I did not make a huge mistake.
Is molly good tank mate for shrimp?
Seen my Amano shrimp eat my cherry shrimp and it's a good size too. So I will say this should be taken into a cautious neocaridina tank mate.
heard of ghost feeding on RCS?
Chili rasboras best
what about hatchet fish?
My green neon tetra they been doing well with my cherry shrimps until they grew up they started chasing them
I keep cherry shrimp with bristle nose plecos
I have mine with amanos, ember tetras, a dalmatian molly, a cory, a glowlite tetra and a rubber lip pleco and so far nobody has shown any interest in the cherries whatsoever. Though the amanos will eat the bodies of any cherries that die lol. Nice little clean up crew.
How likely will ghost shrimp kill cherry shrimp? I saw a few things alone about it.
White cloud mountain minnows for the win in our eco tank! The long fin variety is stunning!
I have a ❓, would many of the fish list would steal the food offered to the shrimp ?
Maam please tell me tankamtes for crayfish ❤😊
can African dwarf frogs go well with them?
I've heard goldfish will work if the shrimp are too big to fit in the goldfish mouth. Goldfish aren't aggressive they just try to eat anything and everything that will fit.
