But once they find Sly they can only come forward a little at a time, & every time they stop they encounter another Cooper member that they have to help. They could even have Penelope return, but this time as the pirate Black Beard. By the 5th or 6th level, we finally have Sly meet his father, but since Sly knows his father has to die, he's conflicted on whether to try to save him or let him die again. Meanwhile, the owl scientist who helps rescue Sly gets injured through these adventures with the Cooper Gang & he builds a robot body for himself, which we later find out is Clockwork. At the end of the game, Sly & the rest of the gang make it back to the present, but Clockwork steals the time machine, goes back in time, & he gets revenge on what happened to him by making it his life's work to go after the Cooper family. Through this 5th & final game, the story comes full circle as Sly inadvertently created his family's mortal enemy in the form of a bootstrap paradox. The game ends with Sly & Carmelita finally getting together as a couple with Sly ending his life as a thief so he can have a family with her.

And exactly as you described I soaked up every interview bideo, gameplay, article and everything during the 2 year pre release. I honestly wish Sly Cooper had more of that type of anime shonen influence instead of the Saturday morning cartoon vibe that most of the games have. It would allow for more deeper story telling and characterization to be done instead of treading along certain story themes so as to not increase the age rating of the games.

They obviously had to bleep them out, But you can gather from context that that's the franchise they were talking about. Haven’t watched yet but sly has been getting so much shine lately. I’m really hoping some execs are seeing how much pull it’s been getting on RUclips, Twitter and TikTok lately. PRAYING for a reboot. Shoutout to J’s reviews. All hits no misses.
Just watching you play Sly 1 makes me want to dive back in and play it. Its crazy how good it feels to run around, nimbly landing on pipes, and whacking enemies with the cane. Seriously such an insanely smooth experience.
Thank you so much for this video. I can't even begin to put into words how much the Sly Cooper games meant to my childhood. I remember playing the first one over and over and being SO excited for 2 and then 3. I too have a special relationship with the first 2 games. I did get 3 when it came out but it didn't feel the same and took me awhile to really love it like the other 2. I got a PS3 just for Sly 4 and then didn't actually finish it for like 6 years because it felt too different. It's ok, but definitely has a different feeling to it. Just didn't feel as special. But the original trilogy just holds a huge place in my heart. They were games me and my mom would play together, she even beat all the games on her own and still goes back to them sometimes. Last time was back in 2020. Not sure what happened to my original copy of 1 but I still have my original 2, 3, 4 and Collection games. Just everything about the games scream charm. The characters, the style, the music, the voice acting. Nothing compares. I hope I live long enough to see a proper Sly 5 someday.
Sly Cooper was the shit back when i was a kid. I would sit down for hours at a time playing these games. If you didnt play Sly as a kid you definitely missed out in your childhood.
Such missed opportunities in Sly 4. Certain ancestors could’ve been so cool to meet and LeParadox? What a letdown LeParadox was! Clockwerk is such a cool and mysterious villain. The Claw Gang was full of personality as were the Sly 3 baddies but that low down dirty skunk is so lame compared to all them! Sly said it best, he’s such an idiot who exposed his whole operation cause of his ego! That whole thing about him being from a rival clan of thieves really should’ve been expanded on instead of being left as a last minute reveal and the boss battle should’ve been so much more than a QTE! Like they could’ve had it so we tangle with his ancestors in the various time periods. Also did nobody on the staff question why Sly 4 is just one plot contrivance after another? Even Sly lampshades how unbelievable the gang’s luck has been!
I don't know what you mean, sucker punch ended the sly saga with sly 3 with a very good ending. The character arcs are finished. I had a good time with it, and still enjoying watching/playing the sly trillogy. Edit: MAYBE they left the door open for other studios, but only for sony's marketing reasons. We know what happends, when other writers/studios work on Allready finished storylines OR just new writers that continue stories, but lack the understanding & respect of inevented systems of stories: Sly 4, Everything at borderlands 3, Disney star wars, RWBY, boruto, DB super, middleearth (like rings of power) etc.
While I have issues with Sly 4 (being the game, I replayed maybe 3 times where I've replayed the trilogy countless times. Hell, I'm replaying Sly 1 and 2 right now.) I can say that Sly 4 feels very hollow compared to Sly 3 all I can think seeing cutscenes of Sly 4 compared to Sly 3 is "You wouldn't do that. You'd do this." This game series is my all time favorite and I have nothing but good memories with it.
J, I'm glad you uploaded this video man. I love hearing game reviewers on the favorite video games they hold dear to them. The franchise that I hold dear and is part of my identity is Sonic The Hedgehog. I played Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter when I was kid and grew up with them, but I never heard of Sly Cooper or heard there was a 3rd Playstation Platformer. The only time I saw or got to know Sly Cooper was in Playstation Move Heroes cutscenes on PS3. But this long video of yours encouraged/inspired me to give the Sly Cooper Trilogy a try because it seemed very interesting. I played Sly 1 (I give it an 8 out of 10), I'm getting into playing Sly 2 (I give it a 10 out of 10), and haven't played Sly 3 yet. But I'm glad I'm getting into this franchise because of you. And I love your reasons for why you say Sly 4 isn't for you. You explain that since the Sly Cooper Series is a kids platformer game franchise, it doesn't offer you many things as an adult gamer, even if Sly 3 has way more content to go around, or if Sly 1's time trials keeps you coming back to test your skills and knowledge. So the only thing that can keep you invested or anchored into the games would be the story, artwork, and script characterization. When you played that Scene from Sly 2 with Sly talking about how haunting the structure was, it really showed me what you were talking about. You feel like Sly 4, despite that it could be more fun to play than the trilogy, is missing the main things from the trilogy that made you love the games so much. But still, I don't think there's any other reviewer that reviews these games with so much emotion than you do. Like I said, your video is what made me want to try Sly Cooper, and I'm grateful. I love your "Sonic The Hedgehog Is Distinctive" videos the most on your channel, but this Sly Cooper video of yours shows me a franchise that you hold dear to your soul and want to share your love of it with others who may know it or haven't experienced it. Keep up your good work J.
This is the thing about stylized graphics, they age so well. It kinda makes you think to yourself how little we've actually come in terms of the "wow" factor in games. I look at the Jak series and sly cooper and I see things that even some modern games don't do well, yet these were made 20 years ago. Certain styles, physics, moves, it just hit different and still does when I look at it. There was passion back then, real artists. The jump from ps1 to ps2 was INSANE. Then ps2 to ps3 or Xbox 360 was crazy too. Since then, not so much.
Love the passion and enthusiasm you have for these games! The way you feel about this game is how I feel about the Jak and Daxter series (not frontiers lol). Just bought a ps5 about 4 months ago and running through retro/exclusive titles. Just played the jak trilogy. Moving on to the sly trilogy. Figured I'd watch a video like this to hype myself up. Thank you for your content! 🙏🤙
Having been more into ratchet & clank instead of sly and Jak. The only sly game I've played was slide 4 when I got it on my Vita. I definitely need to go back and replay the entire series in one sitting.
I remember being pissed when sly 4 came out. The game itself was fine (not great or even good, just fine), but all those levels with the motion controller that no one cared about (the controller not the levels). I had bought a second hand ps3 and it didn't come with a controller that had that feature as almost all 3rd party controllers appeared to think that was useless. Took six months and an extra $40+ after buying the game brand new just to play the darn thing. 😢
The message of Sly 3 falling on deaf ears can be said for so many things. I'm all for letting sleeping dogs lie, most of the time when things get drudged back up for remakes/reboots/sequels from different companies it rarely turns out as good. The comments sucker punch gets are disgusting about telling them they need to make 5 whenever they talk about sly or when they did the anniversary merch. Seems like Sly 3 needs to be played and understood by more people and actually listen to the lesson it teaches. Learn to love and let go, it can always be experienced again. 4 felt like it was made for an even younger audience than the trilogy and lost its charm, ie the story and character arcs being non-existent from past games even. Plus all the character designs are a downgrade alongside the incessant speech lines. Not to mention the ending sequence where the characters are chirping back and forth but there is zero animation for it during the fight.
Sly 4 was the biggest joke.. i felt like i was playing in one of my oldest fanfictions. The focus wasn't the ancestors, you barely get to know them. The focus is on the drama between Sly and Carmelita.. Thanks goodness, there's no a 5th game made by Sanzaru, but we never had a movie, as the Ratchet & Clank movie failed.. even MORE from the European sidem
I heard Sanzaru planned on releasing DLC where we get to explore Ancient Egypt, but Sony wouldn't let them do it. I even heard the script was pretty much done.
@@SlyCooper1920Sanzaru Games president was the one that cut the ending due to the size restriction of the PlayStation Vita sadly did not have time to add it to the PlayStation 3 within the short time frame given to be ported, as such it was turned into dlc that never made it due to lack of sales No idea why said president did not scale back levels or removed some them instead of cutting the actual ending
still remember the year i got sly 3, the levels i had trouble with, theres so many memories that i've had with the sly trilogy. I'll never forget sly, hope we get ports or another game sometime soon.
1:37:34 general tsao is one of the most entertaining & best villians. I always must smirk when he says that line. And even when he talks much sh-, he DELIVERS behind all that sh talk with combat Experience & dark arts + he was cunning. Not only that, he sticked to his promise and gave back the laptop when he lost the fight (a CERTAIN sense of honor, what sticks to his Character) & he gets a + Point because he was able to find the cooper gangs hideout and stole the Laptop in the first place, what was a total off-guard for the cooper gang. Easily in TOP 3 Sly Villians with Clcokwerk & Dr. M, in my humble Opinion.
I wrote up a plot for a Sly 5 game. So, my sly 5 idea involves a weakened Sly being trapped in the past, and being found by an old enemy: Clockwerk, who initially mistakes him for an ancestor and attacks, him, injuring him greatly, even mauling him. Upon defeating him, though, Clockwerk realizes that *this* Cooper is from the future--and furthermore, based on some of Sly's comments he let slip up at the beginning--namely, shock that Clockwerk was alive, and rage at seeing the cyborg Owl, Clockwerk figures that something must have happened to him in the future. Deciding to capture him, and using a device he's created, he manages to rip Sly's memories from him and gets the highlights of his life, including the defeat of Clockwerk. Rather than be enraged and kill him out of frustration, Clockwerk decides he must find a way to become immortal, beyond the cybernetic replacements of his body he's already done. Consulting his research, he smiles upon finding mentions of a crystal that could grant one unending life--only catch is, it's guarded deep in the depths of Atlantis, the shining city. Only catch is, he's too big and not powerful enough at the current moment to get it. Luckily for him, he has a Cooper from the future, with skills learned from ancestors that aren't even born yet--and Clockwerk offers the captured Sly Cooper a deal--He'll share a portion of the power of immortality with Sly, and build him a machine to send him home, but Sly has to get the crystal for him first. And just to make sure Sly plays along, Clockwerk makes some...cybernetic modifications to Sly to patch sly up in order to let him move again, but Clockwerk has the control switch for them, and if Sly tries to backstab him, Clockwerk will turn off the cybernetics, leaving Sly crippled and helpless. Left with no other choice, Sly agrees, but also noticed something when Clockwerk was flipping through his memories--a newspaper from the day when Thieves in Time started, mentioning a clue on a tablet found in Egypt leading to Atlantis. While going through a hastily constructed training course set up by Clockwerk for him to get used to his cybernetics, thinking quickly, Sly finds a blank tablet and etches out a rough map on it and inscribes the word "Atlantis" on it, along with a small Cooper symbol and Clockwerk's wings disguised as hieroglyphics, and then buries it, hoping that it was the clue that was mentioned, before Clockwerk begins to take them to Atlantis after the training is concluded. Flashing back to the Present Day, Bentley is going through news and comes across an article with a picture of the tablet, and is gobsmacked when he cues in on the symbol. Calling up the gang and Carmelita, they decide to steal the tablet and follow it to Atlantis, surmising that Sly is sending them a message from the past. The rest of the game follows two parallel plots: Sly in the past being ordered around by Clockwerk, but leaving clues and hidden items for his future crew, while in the present day his Crew has to manage without Sly as their Thief in order to solve the clues he's leaving behind throughout the exapansive city of Atlantis, and try and piece together what's happening, and maybe even save him. At the climax of the game, Sly manages to get the crystal, but his crew has managed to lock on to where he is. As removing the crystal causes the city to begin to sink, Sly has to escape to the top of the city, where he faces off against Clockwerk. Clockwerk disables Sly's cybernetics, but by this point Sly has managed to heal a good bit, and is able to try and fight him. When Bentley's portal opens up, Sly attempts to escape with the Crystal, but Clockwerk intercepts him. Unwilling to let Clockwerk have it, Sly attempts to destroy it, and as they grapple over it, it shatters. The shock of losing his chance at Immortality gives Sly the opportunity to escape, and Clockwerk is left seething--before noticing that there are two shards left behind. In the post credits he's shown designing the Hate Chip*s* This leads into a potential DLC where Penelope finds the second hate chip in a buried lab of Clockwerk's and ends up using it as part of a means to create a mechanical army...aaaaand brings Clockwerk back ultron-style when she does so, with a shot at a redemption arc when all of her machinations ends up with her losing her hands to the evil owl.
@6:03 "Bentley, the techno genius and strategist supreme and Murray, part time driver and full time burden" lmfao, that description couldn't be more perfect
Man... I loved Sly 1, it was the only one I ever played but until i got the sly cooper collection on ps3, it was the most enjoyable story i had played. The drama, the action, the tension! It had a beautiful style that defined my standards of how a game should feel.
I love sly cooper it’s a great game and Like you said, needs dialogue for the conclusion. I even wrote down how sly 5 and sly 6 could be made and be fun to wrap up the characters but you know they will still do what they do best but more evolved with Carmelita The only things I hope are put in both the games are the clue bottles and treasures, new characters and villains but also returning characters and villains, Penelope will return and redeem herself and at least be friends and an ally to the cooper gang, and the playable characters movements and controls are just like in sly 2 and 3
Remember when Sucker Punch said they would be interested in making another Sly Cooper on PS5 then just changed their minds and lost interest? Good times.
and just gonna say it, "its for kids" is NOT a good defence for writing, ive seen plenty of games, shows and so on that are made for kids and can still have good and even smart writing
The implication of that statement when people say it is that childrens minds should absorb complete nonsense and grow up as rtrds or psychos. Only people that hate kids or are complete airheads say things like that.
@@Ottselracing sounds like we are on a similar page here. yeah, there is plenty of things made for kids that can be well written, its about as stupid a statement as the "think of the children" arguemnt when an adult is made uncomfortable and you normally see both of these more in the west then in eastern countries, mainly north america and western europe

Demi Darko by far had the best review of Sly I've seen on the internet but he tends to skip over details so I'm interested in what a more in-depth review looks like.
my experience back when sly 1 came out. never saw any ads for the game on tv, like J says at the end of the sly 1 retro, the box art was easily looked over. just a black box with a "animal face" on the front. plus you had almost no choice but to ask a worker to open the case to take out the game to check out the back of the box, nobody likes doing this lol its a hassle and the internet was barely becoming a thing, so you mostly had to buy game magazines for new on new games. then the greatest hits version came out, the box art showcased what the game was about more efficiently. was easier recognizable as something like jak or ratchet or spyro or crash etc...this is the box art that caught my eye, especially since it was no longer behind the locked game case but in the massive clearance bin of $20 games (at target). sly 2 came out i had already finished sly 1, knew what sly was but also they did run alot of ads for sly 2 on cable. preordered it at a local game store, got all kinds of weird looks, i was probably 1 of like 10 people who preordered the game where i lived lol. basically the exact same experience preordering sly 3 too. fast forward about 8 years, was getting back into gaming and saw sly 1-3 and tekken 5 and gta san andreas (same store from 8 years ago). new employee of course, same weird expression when going from scanning gta to sly 2 lol. i think sly is criminally underrated, looked down on for having "talking animals" or something. still one of my top 5 series of all time.
It warms my heart to know there are others out there who grew up playing these games, and still love them to this day

Haven’t watched yet but sly has been getting so much shine lately. I’m really hoping some execs are seeing how much pull it’s been getting on RUclips, Twitter and TikTok lately. PRAYING for a reboot. Shoutout to J’s reviews. All hits no misses.
Also 300 likes to 2k views your community loves you big dog, hope you never stop releasing this grade A content for us
Just watching you play Sly 1 makes me want to dive back in and play it. Its crazy how good it feels to run around, nimbly landing on pipes, and whacking enemies with the cane. Seriously such an insanely smooth experience.
God I wish this trilogy would get the N-Sane Trilogy treatment
What does that even mean? They're ps2 games. It would just look the same as it did. Remakes are cancer.
@@OttselracingDo you even know what remake means? Lmao
@@Ottselracing way to generalize 💀
Even the PS2 games look fantastic today, they only need a remaster at most, not a remake
@@Ottselracingme when I lack critical thinking skills:
Played sly Cooper at my parents friend house on the ps2 in the basement when we’d go over… I was soooo hooked on this game 😅
Sly Cooper was the shit back when i was a kid. I would sit down for hours at a time playing these games. If you didnt play Sly as a kid you definitely missed out in your childhood.
So many memories in sly 1 and 2, need a remaster. Love your videos on the series
Dude, you are the best for putting this together. Sly also holds a very fond place in my heart. I dont like platformers, but i love Sly
Dude all I want is a Crash type remake of the original trilogy. I agree, it doesn't need a sequel.
Bane-“ I was molded by the darkness”
Jsreview- I was molded by sly cooper
1:24:08 Not using the stealth slide was a big mistake! Probably my most used powerup! Can be faster than running downhill and doesnt alert guards!
Also they did Bentley dirty with Penelope.
Honestly I don’t think I can forgive the HD collection for messing up the Ruby Rhythm game.
Fuck I’m old. When he’s said “I was only two when the 1st came out” I died 😂😂
Miss sly so bad 🥺
Awesome video. One of my fav series from my childhood. Super nostalgic.
I liked Thieves in Time, but hated the cliffhanger.
I will forever be heartbroken by what happened to this franchise.. I’m so sad the movie got cancelled I was so excited when I was younger :(
Sly cooper is my childhood i love this series and i love to revist the game all the time the game mean a lot to me
I don't know what you mean, sucker punch ended the sly saga with sly 3 with a very good ending.
Hell, I'm replaying Sly 1 and 2 right now.)
I can say that Sly 4 feels very hollow compared to Sly 3 all I can think seeing cutscenes of Sly 4 compared to Sly 3 is
"You wouldn't do that. You'd do this."
This game series is my all time favorite and I have nothing but good memories with it.
Please make a retrospective on the cartoon The Batman and The Spectacular Spider-Man!
this dude went through his own story arc just to review Sly 4. peak content
Criminally underrated view count. Great job
Me and two other guys used to pretend to be the gang during elementary school recess. Noah, Nathan, and Nick!
This is my childhood game too. Sad that they don’t do games like these. 😢
Honestly, I feel like you should make videos about the whole game mission by mission and explain everything narrative. Id watch it.
The roller coaster segments of Rocket: Robot on Wheels made me and my big brother feel sick to our stomachs.
I don't hate Sly 4. But I feel it wouldn't get a big backlash if it didn't end on a cliffhanger
I heard Sanzaru planned on releasing DLC where we get to explore Ancient Egypt, but Sony wouldn't let them do it. I even heard the script was pretty much done.
@@SaiyanGamer95 So they just cut that part out and called it a day?
@@SlyCooper1920 I mean, Sony wouldn't let them work on it, so yeah. Sanzaru really wanted to release the DLC, thougy.
@@SlyCooper1920Sanzaru Games president was the one that cut the ending due to the size restriction of the PlayStation Vita sadly did not have time to add it to the PlayStation 3 within the short time frame given to be ported, as such it was turned into dlc that never made it due to lack of sales
No idea why said president did not scale back levels or removed some them instead of cutting the actual ending
Would be cool if that ever got leaked somehow
Thank you for this great video on our favorite series.
i just started replaying sly 2 :O
DAMN
For me personally sly 4 is my favorite, might be because of the different playable coopers but 4 by far is my fav
still remember the year i got sly 3, the levels i had trouble with, theres so many memories that i've had with the sly trilogy.
I'll never forget sly, hope we get ports or another game sometime soon.
Sly was one of those games my friends and all that played bossman
Sly Cooper was a really cool game even though i haven't played it but it looks so good
Always Hazbin
I started playing sly cooper for the first time back in summer of 2022, im 21 now, but i felt the nostalgia from the game ^^
Man, I miss these games. Sony, just remaster them, please!
They won't sell well

Sly 1 was the first video game I ever played as a kid! I was 7 when it came out and I’ve loved it ever since!
Boy, oh-boy, here we go again!
Lemme just get my popcorn real quick
I'm so disappointed that SuckerPunch/Sanzaru Games didn't take the opportunity to name one ancestor "D.B. Cooper"
Y'know
Like the THIEF
C'mon
Great work bro!
Great video man I myself just started recording playthroughs of the series always been a large part of my childhood.
Happy New Year man!
A Remake of the original trilogy by Sucker Punch would be awesome
i enjoyed playing sly 3 the most as a kid but i appreciate sly 2 the most as an adult
My theory is that sly became the Egyptian ancestor and started the theavous raccoonus to start his own story
One of fav games of all fucking time.
In the post credits he's shown designing the Hate Chip*s*
This leads into a potential DLC where Penelope finds the second hate chip in a buried lab of Clockwerk's and ends up using it as part of a means to create a mechanical army...aaaaand brings Clockwerk back ultron-style when she does so, with a shot at a redemption arc when all of her machinations ends up with her losing her hands to the evil owl.
I really hope we get sly 5, a trilogy remake or at least a PC port.
You ain’t getting any of those. You can’t even name the studio to do it, which is why I don’t take you seriously.
I want them to make more sly games. they are the only game studio i can trust when it comes to bringing back a beloved game
@6:03 "Bentley, the techno genius and strategist supreme and Murray, part time driver and full time burden" lmfao, that description couldn't be more perfect
I love these games, especially sly 3 cus it was my first one. Sly 2 is great too
At least Sly Cooper got 4 mainline games, Banjo Kazooie only got the first 2, Nuts and Bolts and spinoffs on GameBoy Advance
I even wrote down how sly 5 and sly 6 could be made and be fun to wrap up the characters but you know they will still do what they do best but more evolved with Carmelita
The only things I hope are put in both the games are the clue bottles and treasures, new characters and villains but also returning characters and villains, Penelope will return and redeem herself and at least be friends and an ally to the cooper gang, and the playable characters movements and controls are just like in sly 2 and 3
Of course
It's not a New Year with J if he doesn't start with the Ol Thievius Raccoonus
Remember when Sucker Punch said they would be interested in making another Sly Cooper on PS5 then just changed their minds and lost interest? Good times.
So disappointed, I swear. We lost the Sly movie, too! Though that one may have been for the best seeing how Rachet's movie turned out.
Remember when Suckerpunch never said that at all and you just made that up. Good times
@@mrpopo5097 Or maybe an article lied to me. Ever think about that?
@mrpopo5097 who pissed in your cheerios?
I hope we get a reboot / remake one day. Such an iconic franchise I think with some TLC and a decent budget, we could get insomniac-level Sly games.
and just gonna say it, "its for kids" is NOT a good defence for writing, ive seen plenty of games, shows and so on that are made for kids and can still have good and even smart writing
I just flipped this Sly collection for 10x, it can’t be that bad! I vaguely remember this game, I think I only played the first one.
Thank you! I couldnt stand you back in the day. My friends showed me your sonic and sly cooper vids and i thought you were a straight troll. Glad you grew up. Many youtubers are kind of looking at some of their old stuff and im glad they're finally seeing how cringe that era was.
1:32:49 I didn't know Bentley could be so SAVAGE
This came out in the perfect time
wonder when he’ll mention sly cooper in this one
I saw this video and thought I was losing my mind. It's a compilation tho so I'm safe ... For now.
Demi Darko by far had the best review of Sly I've seen on the internet but he tends to skip over details so I'm interested in what a more in-depth review looks like.
you should make a retrospective on young justice
That would be easy since it only lasted 2 seasons
@@MoodKapProductions Four seasons actually.
This is amazing. I love ur video
Band of thieves is my fav but I never have played 3 and it looks really fun actually.
my experience back when sly 1 came out.
never saw any ads for the game on tv, like J says at the end of the sly 1 retro, the box art was easily looked over. just a black box with a "animal face" on the front. plus you had almost no choice but to ask a worker to open the case to take out the game to check out the back of the box, nobody likes doing this lol its a hassle and the internet was barely becoming a thing, so you mostly had to buy game magazines for new on new games.
then the greatest hits version came out, the box art showcased what the game was about more efficiently. was easier recognizable as something like jak or ratchet or spyro or crash etc...this is the box art that caught my eye, especially since it was no longer behind the locked game case but in the massive clearance bin of $20 games (at target).
sly 2 came out i had already finished sly 1, knew what sly was but also they did run alot of ads for sly 2 on cable. preordered it at a local game store, got all kinds of weird looks, i was probably 1 of like 10 people who preordered the game where i lived lol. basically the exact same experience preordering sly 3 too.
fast forward about 8 years, was getting back into gaming and saw sly 1-3 and tekken 5 and gta san andreas (same store from 8 years ago). new employee of course, same weird expression when going from scanning gta to sly 2 lol. i think sly is criminally underrated, looked down on for having "talking animals" or something. still one of my top 5 series of all time.
Great video brotha
