    Don't think I'm pestering you 😉 merely keeping the request from being forgotten. Please can we have a video on how to formulate a non comedogenic face cream 😃👍
    I have mature, drys skin. You probably don't remember, but I recently talked about how I think it's the emulsifiers causing me to breakout from my experiments. Thanks.

    hi belinda ...thanks for great video....please provide any link for checking polarity of oils...or what does polarity index means and how to search it...can i pair low or medium polar with non polar...

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  5 лет назад +3

      Hi Jabby, non polar oils are those that are completely hydrocarbon chains/no charged functional group e.g. silicones, mineral oils. Polar oils are those with a functional group eg triglycerides, esters (esters vary in their polarity depending on the length of hydrocarbon chain) and plant oils. You can pair them when an emulsifier is present but without an emulsifier or stabilising agent, you'll get separation or syneresis. And of course, when pairing, always check stability. Hope this helps, happy formulating!

    hello IPCS thanks for faqs...some of my doubts are cleared for sure...just a question ..is there any difference in cetearyl alcohol and cetostearyl alcohol ...thanks

    • @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401
      @theinstituteofpersonalcare6401  5 лет назад +1

      Good question and NO - they are the same thing. Cetearyl alcohol is the INCI name, both have the same CAS: 36653-82-4 Cetostearyl alcohol is the chemical name so you may see that on suppliers documentation but cetearyl alcohol is the INCI name that goes on labels. Hope this helps :)

    What is the difference between oil in water & oil in water? Confused about the difference? Does " water in oil" mean there's more water in your product than oil or just the the opposite of that?
    Thanks♡

    • @voau3875
      @voau3875 5 лет назад +2

      "Water in oil" means that oil is the continous phase and water droplets are scattered and stabilized in the oil. W/o has more oil than water.

    This is just an off-the-wall question for Belinda.
    As long as you have been doing this can you look at a formula and know how it's going to turn out?
