I was lucky enough to get to see Iced Earth with Barlow when he came back. I was at the SF date on the tour when he returned. It was an AMAZING event in my life. I am not sure if anyone can ever do for Iced Earth what Matt Barlow did vocally.

I like both Tim and Matt. Matt's range is amazing and he's done some absolutely amazing work with IE. Tim did a fantastic job with that "Gettysburg" trilogy. I'm a huge fan of concept albums and I have hard time choosing my favorite between "Gettysburg" and "Something Wicked" trilogies. But I'm glad that I really don't have to choose. So my point was that there's a good man for every job and Matt and Tim have done their jobs right.
Matt was the ultimate Iced Earth frontman, with the right personal values. I admire him and Jon so very much, it's very sad that he left again. At least we got these masterpieces forever.
