why do female pop singers breathe out in on mic in studio on first verse and in concert not move away from mic to breathe out in. or breathe iut on mic then move away but bring back to breathe in?
Thank you for this! I've naturally switched from mouth to nose when necessary but the idea of the nose-mouth breath had never occured to me. This is life-changing information 😍
I've had some problems with juicy vocal chords and when inhaling too quickly getting chocked so I started using the mouth and nose inhalation back a year or so and it's been very helpful.
My teacher has always told me to breathe through my nose when I’m singing but I’ve always struggled with the quick breaths. Thanks to u I now understand how to breath quickly using my nose and mouth. Thanks uuuuuu
i found it easier to take fast breath through the mouth when you told to do the 5 tone scale fast. of course another amazing video. i wait so eagerly for saturday to arrive so that i could watch your latest videos. you are the best. lots of love
Thank you a lot! I've just come across your channel. This has changed my perspective of my vocal potential. I feel like there is a lot more I can do within minutes of your video. Hope you are recognized for being such a beautiful singer and mentor. I do appreciate my singing teacher a lot, but my memory fails me when I don't take notes... this must be one of those things he had touched on a couple of times, though I never have time to process the information - and I am a person who needs time... our classes are only 45 min long!
Very helpful video thank you very very much for sharing you knowledge So many call vocal couches only focus on nose breathing know I understand better when a singer drink water often because they breath through there mouth
WOW ! What a present! 🎀🎉 SO HELPFUL! 😅 ❤❤❤❤❤ I sing in different languages and will use this magical technique consciously from now on ! Happy Easter, 🐰🎀dear Victoria....and to everyone, who reads this comment !🐞🍀
Always benefit from your tutorials Victoria. Working on some Police (Sting) vocals. He's got some Reggae stylings to some of his songs. Enjoying the "work in progress" and had to drop down a half step on some. Always wish I didn't need to. It amazes me how some songs I need that half step down, and others I don't.
1/2 step can make all the difference in the world and most people in the audience will not recognize the key change. I often recommend a lower key in training and then raising the key if and when more comfortable.
Good video. I found the caution against tightening the throat and either raising or dropping the larynx with the quick mouth breath especially pertinent.
My main goal is to play and sing at church as a choir member or solo and outside wherever it fits same skill but I don't know what's call that type of singing it is but looking forward one day I'm going to do it
I had severe childhood asthma and for the longest time had difficulty breathing through my nose (singing or otherwise). The notion of using the nose breath to open the nasal passages is helpful and one I’ll have to practice with. Thank you for this!
Great! Remember that the nose only breath is for when you have the time in the song to inhale slowly. You can try the combination nose/mouth breath too.
I sing classical and I prefer the feeling of yawning the inhale while breathing through nose and mouth as I feel the nose inhalation opens the “ mask” , specifically, a space behind the eyes , nose and “ mustache “ area and the mouth inhalation, as you mention, allows you to take in more air ( thereby compressing the lungs more as Lamperti recommended). Also , the mouth part of the inhale relaxes the throat, as you said ( and Monserrat Caballè also recommends
I'm doing very well by using nose breathing. But since I just got this, I do "sniff". Now that I've heard you advise against this I need to work on quieting the nasal breath.
When I breathe in through my nose my higher notes and tones are a lot warmer but there's just not enough time to breathe in through my nose for most songs lol. I'll give this mixed inhalation a go! 😅😅
This usually goes away with practice. I have never seen it last in a singer. You may be over-breathing. If you feel lightheaded, just stop for a few minutes. Make sure to watch my other videos on breathing.

Yes, I find that the nose/mouth inhalation makes a huge difference for classical singers!

You are a life saver… I sing Indian classical and this is super

Wow I found the mix breathing worked better
i felt.like theres something blocking my nasal and my throat.when singing

Same here lol😂
Luv u 🥰
My head feel so light after doing the combination is that okay and right when a beginner do it?
This usually goes away with practice. I have never seen it last in a singer. You may be over-breathing. If you feel lightheaded, just stop for a few minutes. Make sure to watch my other videos on breathing.
Ma'am, it's so difficult to simultaneously breathe with both nose and mouth.
You don't need to do that. It is just a suggestion if you are singing classical, like opera.
Will there will soo much of change in my voice if I stop doing my daily practice for 10 days becoz of no privacy
You may just feel a bit "rusty". You can always practice humming. That is quiet and shouldn't attract attention.
@@Victoria-Victorious thanks a lot mam u r amazing thanks for replying
