We went on a 10 day Med cruise right after Covid. Airports were losing luggage and all we saw were news reports of rooms filled with delayed bags. We opted to do carry on only. Thank goodness for onboard laundry! Packed 3 outfits for each occasion and mix matched and rotated. It was a challenge! Love the more is more in this video. Next cruise inspo for sure!
I just got back from my first cruise ever, to Alaska. I was gone 18 days in all. I highly recommend the cruise. You’ll have a great time. I would recommend packing fewer items though. Nothing wrong with rewearing the same item couple times. Nobody remembers what you wore last week.
Oceania is one of my favorite cruise lines! My cruise addiction came from my parents who have been on 234 cruises in the last 40 years. When you have an opportunity, a World Cruise is exceptional. I can not wait for your upcoming blogs/thoughts. ❤
I just love the Wallaroo hat…and I hate hats! Mine arrived yesterday, and I wore it out today. It was breezy out and it stayed in place, it’s so lightweight, doesn’t get in the way of glasses or pop off if I lean my head back, I forgot it was even on my head. The pack ability and UPF are a bonus. Thanks for the red!
I hate leaving my dog at boarding! He loves the Wag hotel and everyone there loves him, but it is so hard! I love pack with me videos. I am always interested to see what works for everyone. Please do a follow up video on what worked, what you wish you brought and what was worthless! I love cruises, it is so easy to unpack once and be done. I love how you have all your clothes, shoes out on the hanger so you could go through and decide what you are going to pack. It’s always stressful getting packed but once on the plane then you can relax. I hope you have great time on the cruise already seeing some pictures on instagram. I imagine by now you are on the trip, but I hope you packed a couple of outfits in your carry-ons, just in case the checked bags relocate themselves, lol. Buon viaggio!
There will be so much walking and climbing stairs (especially on the cruise ship!), so don't worry about what you eat! Also, I often wore a vest with an internal pocket on our Mediterranean cruise (piece of mind for pick pocket issues that were very common).
I get what you’re saying about a lighted travel compact mirror. I invested in a Simple Human travel lighted mirror and it was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made for travel. It’s compact, light is bright, and can work on one charge for several weeks (tested that out on a one-month trip to New Zealand). Have a fabulous vacay! ❤
I love my Simple Human travel mirror. I store it with my Phillips electric toothbrush case. Both go into the suitcase every trip. I took the mirror and toothbrush to Australia for a month. The USB batteries held up well.
On my first cruise I totally overpacked…too many pairs of shoes. And only needed one evening bag, one excursion tote/crossbody, and our cruise provided a packable shopping tote/pool tote. Since that cruise, I pack so much better!
I think the Rimowa hybrids are great. The nicer lock and construction of the classic but lighter without all the aluminum. It’s also less flashy which I appreciate
I always put my bags and shoes in my carry on. If pressed, a pair of sneakers may get checked. I never bring extra jewelry. Whatever I am wearing is what I am bringing.

I know that feeling of boarding my dog while away. It would be interesting to know how much of what you are bringing is only used once or less. When we go on a trip, I try to minimize what is packed. I've traveled extensively for business and leisure and find that a streamlined wardrobe while traveling is a big time saver, and is much more efficient and lighter on the road.
I absolutely love your travel videos. Although we have completely different taste in clothes, I also enjoy watching you pack. Based on your recent posted trips and restaurants, we travel on the same scale. I will be interested to know what you think of cruising. Looking forward to a post trip recap. I think the amount of everything you showed in this video can last for 6 months. That’s how long I thought you were going to be away. I usually pack for 7 days of outfits and plan on sending items out for laundering or doing some handwashing in the room. We packed for a river cruise in a 22” suitcase and rewore many of the items. Pantyliners are a help as well for wearing your bottoms more than once. You could do with half the amount you present here and still have lots to wear. I know you’ll have a great time no matter what you are taking with you. Looking forward to your recap. We always come back with items we never got to wear. Bon voyage!

I bought some designer pieces in Europe while on a Mediterranean cruise and the stores shipped them home to the US so I wouldn't have to pack them in my luggage so maybe go that route? Going on a two week vacation in September so these tips are helpful! That fold hat is cool. I will say every time I see those black onyx earrings I wish harder and harder that you’d release more. I missed out last time and I’ve yet to find something similar.

Dear Michelle, don't overpack or bring anything that will need ironing/steaming since you can't bring a steamer/iron and those services are super expensive on the ship.

But I have never been on a cruise (neither I have any desire because of my severe sea sickness) so I can’t tell you for sure. Mine are holding up pretty well. I don't wear them hard or anything. But there are obvious scuffs on the white parts.
