On older Beckett’s like the Hockey and Griffey magazines a newsstand or subscription version cannot be determined as all subscription versions were mailed in a poly bag and thus no mailing labels attached to the magazine. I had a subscription for years to Beckett and they sent their magazines that way until about the early 2000’s. People got upset when they got their subscription copies sent with a bar code when Beckett started adding it in 1992 on the back as it ruined the back cover with a star player.
That "Smitty at the Ballgame" is actually considered a platinum age (pre golden age) comic book, not a magazine, and someone massively overpaid for it, since it's worth about 275-300 in that condition. It's been listed in the annual Overstreet comic book price guide for decades now. Love the video!
You have to be careful with those Jordan high school yearbooks as they have been reprinted over the years. Because the pictures were in black and white they were easily copied and sold to unsuspecting buyers.
@@akin9868 yeah it's the restored label. If it's because of that staple .it would be better to take that staple out and get the " detached staple" in the graders notes . If that's what it is ! Purple is cool for a PC if u get it cheap. It's like a trimmed card.
I find it sickening to see vintage magazines and comics graded because it means you can never look inside them again. They were meant to be looked at but they could still be handled very carefully.
Think the LBJ Hotwheels trucks will hold value like these?? They cover several "collectibles" categories... toys, Hotwheels, cards (they come with a card) and sports memorabilia!
Have a great weekend

Is the $275-300 the value of one graded that high?
@@carolinatarheels7903 In the Overstreet price guide, yes, but that's just a guide. As we all know, the market will bear, what the market will bear.
I wonder how much my 72-73 Boston Bruins Bobby Orr GameDay program would fetch today?
Great Channel ‼️‼️‼️
Love this category so many random subjects out there to make an awesome collectible or investment

Hey Brother 👋 how's the family doing today?
Enjoying the Mags. Graders not are a feature of CGC, it is one of the things I wish PSA would have. All comics have graders notes.
That Jackie Robinson had a purple label didn't it?? Man that is the kiss of death in comic book grading
Really?

So many interesting stuff out there. Great video
I have the Griffey SÍ Natural card and wonder if it will be worth something
Wanna see more video game magazine graded.
your best videos are non-sport and other sports cards.

I'd buy that SI for Kids #1 and CRACK it for the cards!
Oh you didn't hear... Joe DIED a LONG time ago... that's "where".
