These are delicate little fish . So just because these glow doesn't mean they need different care they're still a Betta and they deserve a happy little fishy life

This makes me sad and mad! I don't have a problem with Glo-fish, the process is harmless and it does get people (especially kids) into the hobby. However, NO fish belongs in 1.5 gallons, and Glo-fish is selling these setups. 3 gallons is a little better, but 5 is really ideal. Also, the intake flow on these prepackaged setups is too strong! Shame on this company for perpetuating the myth that these beautiful creatures are happy in tiny spaces.
Preach it! People spread so much misinformation about bettas and fish keeping in general. It's sad
that is true, but bettas live alone and do not need much space, but i do agree that 3 gallons or so is better
mines in a 3 gallon im saving up for a 6 gallon for my lil dude
i love the tank design, minus how the filter sucks in water.. its too strong. and i wish this tank was bigger because i love the modern shape of it

First they treat bettas like trash second some people don't even give him enough space 3rd they don't acclimate the fish if you don't acclimate the better it's going to contain a lot of stress in the fish

I converted my 10 gallon and got a blue LED strip for the hood to suction onto so it would give the glow. She's got a heater and gentle sponge filter. One week in and we're doing good! There's little silicone mushrooms she likes playing in. I hope they come out with more than just Electric Green! I'd love to see them in Starfire Red.

There's so many things wrong with this. The filter is too strong. You did not acclimate the fish. You did not wash your substrate. That tank has 0 hiding spots, and was not cycled :/ it's a shame that people don't care enough to take care of these fish properly.
Agree and the fact they promoting a fish that had been experimented like that put chemicals to glow
@@kiraneko5582 GloFish are genetically engineered by splicing in jellyfish DNA. They are not dye injected.

@@kiraneko5582 you are aware that bettas are specifically bred to create long flowing fins too? Cause fish owners want a "beautiful" fish. They are not like that in the wild.
Ethically, bettas as a whole are a hot mess. Betta splendens do not even exist in the wild. They are a created species.

You can’t just throw a fish in a tank without acclimating it. That fish was in physical shock. ..... not “stuck”. Acclimate you’re fish before transfer. So they don’t die from shock. Also, handling fish with your bare hands due to the natural salts on our hands, actually hurts them. They have a protective body layer of membranes that are too sensitive for us to be touching them like that. Do your research before showing thousands of people how to do it the wrong way. Because it’s just encouraging people to hurt living beings.

Not sure I'd keep a fish in it's container from the store for more than an hour or so max, and the tank should be cycled and ready 😔 I like his channel but there are some not so great moments.

@@cloud2624 You can put them with other fish. You just don't want to mix them with overly aggressive ones.
@@willoyd614 You can put them with other fish, but you can't have more than one male betta in a tank, and most other fish will get killed by the bettas.
@@saint5898 Theres quite a good amount of fish that go with bettas. Neon tetra, cardinal tetras, skirted tetras,(a good amount of tetras actually), coreys, golden algae eaters, siamese alage eater, yoyo loach and weather loach(but when they're small still), and im sure there are others but just listing some that have worked with me in a 20 gallon tank

Terrance Lowe they are adjustable. He didn’t bother to read the book the tank came with and it literally tells you how to adjust it.

My Fluval canister filter does not have carbon therefore according to zack, my filter is garbage.
I just seen those last night at petsmart and fire but the problem with breeding them is is while they're in the eggs they're given something that makes them glow if you breed them the babies will not glow
