Really interesting technique. If you pause at 0:30 white's wrist is trapped awkwardly between Lombardo's arm and his own body. Definitely going to try this one out. I see a lot of people going for a katagatame like grip on this kind of turn, but the way Lombardo does it elevates the opponent's upper body. One possible issue with this technique is that the amount of initial upper body control after achieving the turn is limited (see 0:32 ). White makes the mistake of turning to his own left rather than his right at that critical point making it easier for Lombardo to establish a strong upper body control.
