I listen to the spotter and Hailie communicate during the race. He's really good at coaching her and guiding her past the man children. I also enjoy her comments on the idiots she has to drive with.

she ran at the ass end of the field all day. I don't think it passed a single truck. Waste of money for fans that attended the race.
Hailie definitely played it smart. She Hung in the back wanted for the other drivers to do their thing and in stage 3 towards the end made her move. A lot of other drivers wind up being too aggressive too early. She definitely did a great job at avoiding all the chaos and the big one. Congrats on your 8th place finish.

@Rocky-zr9ik This isn't her first Top 10 this season in the trucks. Now run along, the adults are talking.
Rocky and the other two guys are right she had no choice but to run back there it's where the rest of the field put her. Everytime shes finished in the top 15 it's because 20 other trucks either wrecked or sucked worse then she did.
I watched and listened to her in her go-cart race with some of the other guys that can drive recently and she said she was so nervous,she was scared of the high speed snd the guys around her.
Same thing goes for her truck racing . If you've ever watched her when her team gets her out in the top 5 after a pit, when they go back green she is nervous and scared to death cuz her truck is gittering all over the place and she quickly gets out of the gas and slides back to 15th where she feels alittle more comfortable.
She qualifies good sometimes but I no to expect her to not be up front for very long. She fades quickly to her comfortable 15th to 20th again.
It's really frustrating and I can only imagine how her team feels. They get her up front and she blows all there fast hard work on a slide job to 15th again. I would suspect they are use to it and just expect it and do there job the best they can and get paid and do it all over again next week. They no there's no chance of anything exciting happening like racing for a win so they're just happy to have a job and get paid.
I'm a very impatient guy and I've tried to understand she hasn't been in nascar or the trucks for very long and trucks suck anyways but being her 3rd season I would think she would have gotten over some of the fear and just go but I guess she still doesn't trust her truck to stay underneath her.
I wpuld love to see her get an xfinity ride next yr but I don't know if she's impressed any owners enough to want to give her a chance. I honestly believe that she would be better in cars then the out of control wacky trucks. She did good in her only xfinity race.
I was just hoping she would be the one female that would have the nerve and ability to run with the top drivers upfront on a steady basis. If she can't get past her nerve issues it's never going to happen for her.

The team kept asking Hailie if she was ready to move forward, but she stayed super patient. The pack was 4-wide multiple times!
Trucks 4 wide? at Dega? finger on the caution light, flags in hand all around cause it's comin. The season is over for her, it's about races. She's relaxed, no pressure, and boom - big brain results.

I saw a few haters saying it was a boring race, but I don’t think an 8th place is boring. All those trucks driving like mad at the front, and how many even finished. Great strategy, game well played. 👍👍
The ones who ran top 10 most of the race were the ones who finished top 10 still. Example Dean Thompson Chandler Smith Brett Moffitt Corey Heim Kligerman. Even hocevar barely missed top 10

Hallie, the biggest thing that you MUST pay attention to is angles. Me being a tractor trailer driver when driving is angles and holes. Holes in gaps when you can see and can take advantage of, not just for the win but to move up in traffic.

Hell yes be good with it. Dale Jarrett and many others have done it. History proves that attrition is big at superspeedways. You can't win if you don't finish. All the wrecks sure made it easier for Moffitt to win. Hailie, your a damn good race car driver and being smart and not hell bent is what it takes. Great job!!

@@Dontdelete420 come on man, everyone who finished benefited from the crashes, even the winner. Hailie's plan was clearly laid out by her before the race and she smartly carried out her plan to an eighth place finish. Superspeedway racing is every bit a high speed endurance race.

Hailie, I followed NASCAR. for a long time. They made fun of Jeff Gordon for being from California, (4time champ), and Jimmie Johson (7 time champ), so ignore any and all naysayers. Also good strategy. Back when it was all 'good ole boys', the successful drivers always said, "save the car til the end", then the young guns came along, and began going ballls to the wall, with some wins, some wrecks, lots of breakdowns. You're driving smart keep it up. Great finish

Very nicely done! Smooth race. I thought for sure that the leaders were going to wreck on the last restart and you would cruise through them for the win, but 8th is a great spot. Awesome crew too.
