"This Boy" and "Yes It Is" have great harmonies.
The Beatles are the biggest influence in modern music history, they are out selling every artist past and present, with over 1.5 bill on singles and albums sold.
The Beatles' "The Night Before" would've launched many a band into stardom. But for them, it was just a throwaway track on the "Help!" album. Truly brilliant.
The Night Before is one of the many sneaky masterpieces on Help
Not quite a throwaway. It was featured in the movie help and I think it was a highlight of the movie.
For harmony, This Boy!
And yes it is👌
@@rainpain3655 If I Fell.
And "Because".
Beatle's harmonies are magic. All aboard the Magical Mystery Tour
The first in a long line of great B sides in a time when it was rarely worth flipping a single over. Not the case with The Beatles though - you will discover some tremendous, original B sides along the way, songs which would have made a career for lesser lights. One day you will discover "Rain" so hold on to your hat Harri!!!
Love this song and Paul’s voice! ❤️🎶🇬🇧
I love this song. It's so timeless. Also, please do the song "Not A Second Time" and "Money" on the With The Beatles album! :)
I will never ask you to stop playing the Beatles. The best artists ever!!!!
I will never stop 😀😀
My childhood. 11 years old and I never stopped loving them. The early days were fabulous and fun.
Love the early Beatles .....
When Paul sings the back up singers are John Lennon and George Harrison, when John sings the back up singers are Paul McCartney and George Harrison, when George sings the back up singers are Paul McCartney and John Lennon. let that sink in. Not a bad band I'd say.
Don’t change a thing!! You’re doing great. All of their songs are worth a listen and most are great. I am loving watching your journey.
Thanx Debbie 😍
Magical and ethereal as a hallmark timeless classic as only the BEATLES being at their finest.
This song has a distinctly Latin beat & a bit of a longing , melancholy melody. John & Paul in unison in some parts. Great early track. It was a single as the flip side to "Love Me Do."
P.S., I Love You was a B-side to the "Love Me Do" Single.
McCartney has such a lovely voice in this song. For 1963 this shows the promise of more to come...writing such great melodies when melodies mattered....
"we love you beatles" by the carefrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think you're beginning to understand why we loved them.
Just a little piece of perfection
"Here Comes The Sun" is another classic. Not to be confused with yet another Beatles classic: "I'll Follow The Sun". I recommend them both.
The Beatles are timeless.
I know every word to almost every song. It's instilled in me.
"I feel fine"
"Ticket to ride"
Some iconic guitar riffs there 💞
This is the song that got me hooked on the Beatles at the age of 13, when they first made to the USA.
I am pretty sure it was the B side of their first single...I always liked this better than the A side: :Love me do.
@ 0:27 I'm begging you not to stop! LOL! Another good one. Keep 'em coming Harri!
My brother bought every single beatles song in the sixties so I have a memory of those times from all of them just love them all
Speaking of knowing our name, have you heard the Beatles funny song, "You know my name, look up the number?"
You are right, Harry. The Beatles were very fond of Mowtown and R&B. Lennon was obsessed with Smokie Robinson.
This is what i was just talking about in my reply to you in the other post. You just said Lennon was obsessed with Smokey..So he must have influenced him..but it doesnt mean he was copying him
@@HarriBestReactions I totally agree.
This song was a single it reached number 10 in May 1964 in the US.
My second favourite Paul McCartney Beatles song after "For no one".
Hello and have a good day Harry!
This is one of the pretty songs, with a versatility voice by Paul McCartney, from their first album
And is the B-side to "Love me do", first single recording by BEATLES in 1962 that pick #17 in UK Charts in January 1963
Curiosly in both songs was lead vocal Paul McCartney
(In the second single both songs was John Lennon the lead vocal)
I wait for the time when You react the BEATLES songs from "Magical Mistery Tour" (1967)
for me their second best album (the First is "Abbey Road")
Meanwhile I follow you in all your reactions, all BEATLES songs are lovely
I sent You my best regards
Stay safe and be care
Two of the great three-part harmonies they did were Nowhere Man and Because.
This is in Hamburg before America ever heard of them and before recording with Brian Epstein and George Martin. So yeah, they were tight. Harrison had a great voice and did sing harmony in most songs. Lennon was the low harmony and George was the high harmony.
5:15 You recognize that _Please Please Me_ was their first album, so you might wanna change where the video description says "second album".
In the meantime, their very first single was "Love Me Do"/"P.S. I Love You" (issued _before_ inclusion on the PPM album). In fact, their original intention was to put "P.S. I Love You" as the A-side, but there had recently been another song in Britain with that title, so it was relegated to "B" status to avoid public confusion. I find it far more fitting for it to have been the "A", myself, as I feel it is by far the stronger of the single's two songs. Nevertheless, "Love Me Do" has always been released as the "A", and thus has always been the focus of attention, at PSILY's expense.
Yes, unfortunately it shared a title with a well-known popular song. “P.S. I Love You” by Johnny Mercer and Gordon Jenkins had been a hit record at least twice in the US, for Rudy Vallee in 1934 and the Hilltoppers in 1953.
Song like this make me think of the '50s, kind of Everly Brothers-esque.
Good observation about the Americanish sound. The Beatles loved those American records and often tried to emulate them in the early days, even covering them sometimes. Definitely an imitation (in a good way).
I am so glad I found you ... well stumbled onto your channel! Not only do I love your reactions, I love everything you say. I checked your list of videos that you have done - and I loved it. You see, I am one of those "oldies" that you brought down memory lane ... thank you. Thst you are going to play the Beatles from the beginning, made me so happy ... so I have to subscribe (which I rarely do). Look forward to hearing more!
Thank you so much Pamela..When i read comments like these,it makes all those long nights worth while..Thanks once again
@@HarriBestReactions Wow! I was surprised to get a response - but you do seem like a polite young man. In response to your reply ... you are welcome!
Very early recordings..beautiful harmonies...nobody does it better...
Couldn't agree more!
You have great taste in music.
Thanx Rich
This is the B side to their first record. Paul wrote it just a kid…it was for sure a single but the B side very first single. I just finish reading about that recording session. Big day for them and us.
B Side. First single. October 5 1962,
Glad you're sneaking these Beatles songs in. They ban pretty quick but loving it while it lasts.
More to come!..But the blocking is pretty frustrating..Allthe songs here are on appeal..i hope they are not blocked like the others after appeal
It could be years before you get to the Abbey Road album......
Yes! They wrote hundreds of songs
😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂I was actually thinking of that the other day.I will start mixing them.up.now Dennos..Cheers
This was the first Beatles 45 record that I bought in December 1963 it's on the Tollie label along with Love Me Do a month n a half before they came to USA. Who would have thought when I bought this record what was to come.
MayI say how much I have enjoyed you "miinng " these early Beatles albums it brings back so many childhood memories
n
😀
Brother, have I got some talented Eye Candy for you. Straight out of Australia. Here name is Sarah Lloyds. Her debut solo album and first release is I'm All Yours. Cheers mate.
Great
I still can't believe that The Beatles producer George Martin thought Love Me Do was their best song for release as the A-side when they had this one as the B-side. For me, PS I Love You is a much better song than Love Me Do.
Harri my name is Frank I think you know me by now when are you going to post I Feel Fine by Beatles official music video, thank you.
Funny, I just requested it too! I think it's my favourite. That intro...my goodness
its coming guys😀
Ed Sullivan...This Boy. If you want to appreciate the 3 voices. Great reaction, harri.👊
C'mon Harry!! The Song was almost over when you Paused, and CHATTERD on!!?? Love your Appreciation Towards the FAB FOUR, though your Timing leaves MUCH to be Desired!! Waiting for the next Reaction!! If EVER you Stop Talk, Talk, Talking on this, and GET ON with it DO!!😎
Oh look, my new favorite channel.😁
Welcome aboard! Hahahah i love you!😀
@ 6:25 You left one out. A most unlikely one at that. Country and Western! Believe or not they have a C&W song, "Rocky Racoon". In fact, it was played on some C&W stations here even though it was "those awful beetles." LOL! The Beatles had a range. Going from a C&W theme with Rocky, to the 1920s ragtime sound of Honey Pie, to Helter Skelter. And don't forget Ringo's, Octopus's Garden! ✌️😎
I've been looking forward to you reacting to this song. I am so glad the Men in Black have not come for you and you still react to the Beatles :-). Thank you ever so much indeed!
hahahaha
Later Beatles, Within Without You... will take you on a beautiful journey.
They covered Christmas and Birthday and McCartney later did Valentine. Brilliant.
"B" side to "Love Me Do"
It was the b side to Love Me Do so not a hit but the flip side to a hit. Just joking but are you related to Pete Best the drummer before Ringo? If so you need to sake a claim to it lall lol Seriousyt this is pure enjoyment Keep it coming Harry
Yes I am! Pete is my step dad😀
i hope you have something special planned for paul's birthday june 18th!
Honestly, it bothers me when reactors ignore the early Beatles. Even the early stuff was revolutionary for the time. They were doing so much that nobody was else was doing, which was eventually copied. Without the progression of those early songs, we would have never reached the pinnacle of those later songs. And the majority of major bands that came later would have been completely different.
I hear more of a Roy Orbison influence on this song.
Anna, please.
Brad
Those groups you are referring to were mostly black artists. You cannot imitate black voices and the Beatles did not try to do this. It was just their tribute to the great artists of the time. Britain did not have much by way of popular music back then, except for Helen Shapiro and Gene McDaniels (I am not even sure he was British, but try "Another Tear Falls" on for size. ruclips.net/video/DhyVoX1GPHM/видео.html).
sadly this version is flawed. they leave out TONNES of licks. your also missing out on the stereo thingee. maybe listen to these on nice record player? will help your listening enjoyment
Wonderful work as usual, Harri. I was born the year this song came out and was hooked by 2 according to all accounts and my memory. I say, stay away from the songs everyone knows and seek out the forgotten gems that will blow your mind. They are everywhere ... Especially on the B side of the record. Cheers from sunny Nicaragua, my friend!
Nicaragua! wow! Keep safe out there Brian
@@HarriBestReactions Hey. Rural Nicaragua is lovely but the old 80s dictator has returned and we have a police state ... Scary. Fortunate for me the people like me and the government loves Gringo money so we don't get bothered. Thanks so much, Harri. Salud!
