- This method secures a fixed amount of resources right before the end of the Inferno and allows many, many mistakes. Upon the reveal, it was patched: / 1051877997815451651
I didn't end up needing this method because I emptied some vials anyway, but it gave me a good amount of courage, I suppose.

All your regular inferno gear, plus:
Herb sack with 30 grimy toadflax
Astral Runes
Nest Box (empty) with 30 Torvestas
Fire Runes

Pestle and Mortar
Magic Skillcape
OR
Max Cape (Free pestle and mortar, magic cape installed)
Method:
1. Bring 400 noted mole skins or claws to Wyson, he gives you nest boxes. Keep only the empty nest box
2. Enter the Inferno with 11 super restores and 3 brews
3. Use supplies as needed, spellbook swap to lunars to humidify empty vials into vials of water.
4. Clean grimy toadflax from herb sack, use them on the vials.
5. Extract nests from your nest box those on the unfinished toadflax potion.
6. Make brews as needed.
The inventory spaces used for the pestle and mortar, magic skillcape, nest box, astral runes and fire runes will reduce this benefit to an additional 16.5 brews, or 18.5 with a Max Cape. You can start the inferno at 11PM BST to maximize the amount of opportunities to make brews (5 spellbook swaps per day with the Magic Cape)

Kinda sad that jagex crushed that creative way to complete the inferno. That sort of smart, tactical use of what appears to be a totally noncombat spell to resupply during an extended fight like that should be encouraged, not limited by developers. Nothing prevented any other player from doing this besides a lack of creativity (and spellbook swap). Out of the box thinking using the tools jagex gives us should be complimented, not bashed. If they take away your cape for that I will be very bummed out :(
I'm disappointed because thats how I wish the spells were to be used. It gave a use to the humidify spell
I think it's fine to patch creative methods that make something easier to obtain once they're discovered and made widespread because once everyone knows how to do it, it makes the challenge easier, and therefore less prestigious, given the tight-knit integrity of the inferno cape.
I think it's also fine to let Kemp keep his cape. Clever use of mechanics SHOULD be complimented and rewarded, and since he beat the system he deserves that cape. But other people should not deserve the cape using the same method. At that point it isn't critical thinking, it's abusing a mechanic someone else found and that's when it becomes bug abuse.
The first person to discover it and use it to tech around the system should be credited if it isn't inherently game-breaking. And it wasn't. He still beat the fight fair and square and plans to do it again fairly.
If he discovered a method to dupe gold, and made 10k plat off of it, but nobody else used it before it was patched, that would still be bannable, because it could break economy. If he discovered a method to just randomly acquire an inferno cape, did it once, nobody else did, but it was discovered and patched, he doesn't deserve the inferno cape because he didn't complete the challenge. But this is adding critical thinking into the challenge and being rewarded for it.

I agree honestly give people who don't play the game 24/7 a chance to get the inferno Cape. Don't get me wrong majority of people can get it but you have to put a lot of time into the game :/

you don't need to play 24/7 to get an infernAL cape, you just need to be skilled at the game. A lot of people managed to complete it without 17 extra brews, so I see no reason why they should make it easier. I'm glad that they removed it such that the cape stays prestigeous
if you cant see any reason for them to take it than you are pretty short sighted it was clearly not intended to be a mechanic in the inferno
devalues the cape, even more than justiciar. There are ways to take 0 damage in the inferno prior to zuk, even then maybe just the healers lol. Brute forcing for the cape simply devalues it

I think the bird nest thing was crazy innovative honestly. They should not have patched that. It did not give a huge unfair advantage, it helped, for sure. But this method seems deserving of the cape. All the requirements to do it along with the great, creative idea, and pulling it off, totally should not have been patched. Also sucks because now you can't open bird boxes unless in the bank or ge. Maybe I want to open it in my house or lumby graveyard.... psh.

If they're patching it out because the Inferno is such a tight fight that they wanted to stay the way it was then fine, but please keep the extra options players could come up with in mind when making challenges in the future. This type of thing gives so much fun use to otherwise useless content. Spellbook flexibility is a huge game changer in this type of challenge. So please Jagex, make content that inspires and utilizes creativity like this in the future. Synergy with content in games is always a good thing for player's enjoyment.

It would be wrong for them to take the cape from you bud. All of the high level requirements just to do that, I honestly don't think it should have even been patched. It's using certain mechanics creatively. This is how the game is meant to be played.
Not a first time nor last time the developers oversee certain mechanics and while I agree that he should keep the cape, it's clearly not the way devs intended Inferno to be completed(otherwise they would not have made the announcement).
That's why they didn't pay the guy who won first place but never got money in deadman for eating in the damage fog

But yeah he technically won because it was last man standing but they didn't like how he did it even though there was no rules against it. Now you get teleported to the 1v1s, which was their fix. this method seems some what limiting, im not sure why its been "hotfixed" yes this method in a sense guarantee's a certain number of sara brews, which is not only limited by a specific number, but also limited to the number of restores you have to combat the negative effect of the brew. which doesn't really "help" you beat the inferno any quicker or easier.. the vast majority of the deaths at 3 jad/zuk is being one shotted, something the brews wouldn't help with.
yeah plus itd require a lot of patience and maybe having to log out until your daily spellbook change restores. i dont see a problem with it

Cause this wasn't an intended mechanic. Sure it's clever, but they want the inferno to be extremely challenging, and sneaking more brews into it is kinda cheating it. It's like how they don't let you get a Zuk task before you've done it once, it's to protect the integrity of the inferno.
