Fr. The scammers love these videos. Because they let regular players think they can anti scam them. If a random person you've never seen ever messages you, tries to talk to you etc while you are wearing something valuable. Ignore list and move on.

The scam is basically to convince you to trust them and help them with their "item collection" in exchange for some big reward / your dream item. In the end, you just end up giving them every thing you have in the hopes of a big payout in the end. After you've given them a little bit they try to make you feel like you're already in too deep to stop which is why that guy kept getting progressively more naked.
Funny story, my mate and I were drinking irl and bank standing at the GE. Some girl comes up to me and does this whole scam, problem was, I was too intoxicated to recognise what was going on 😂 After she gets all my bandos and stuff I say, oh don’t worry I can get another one, and just buy another set from the bank, then she got real mean about how I LIED to her about how much money I had and starts calling me names, then logs out 😂
lots of them in the phillipines or venezuela use it as an income they sell gp (i try to put them out of business by giving away free gp 302 w bank varrock)
Jagex should give you a specialised acc that has a toggle to remove you from all friend/ignore lists so you cant be tracked and has unlimited name changes so you can do this forever

Watching this series, as someone who got taken for a ride by Bird a couple years ago for 2b, is so satisfying. FYI, they will often drag you out by using 2 accs with similar name, so you trade one that tele'd near enough by for your character to path to it, out of the safe zone.

Imo they need more "stealth" pmods. No crown next to name and only allowed to mute bots (if found going outside too many times loses status). One of the big problems is if the boys see a crown next to name they add them to a 'mod list" and then insta log or tele if they are every in sight so they can't get muted. It's sadly pretty effective and so simple ...

I always wondered about those GE bots that spam "[x] is a hacker!" They're salty that they got anti scammed in some way, huh? Probably hoping for the 5m/10m back from people who take that and run too. I think this game is pretty hungry for pmods, especially ones who are not visibly pmods (so that bots don't instalog when they show up)

Never been in a situation where someone attempted to scam me on OSRS because I don't interact with those people, but I always thought they had an extremely elaborate and convincing scheme that would work on the average person, now I genuinely do not feel bad for anyone who falls for this. Hopefully this teaches them common sense so that it doesn''t happen IRL
Well for me Im going to be the f2p hardcore iron, finishing all collection on f2p. beginner scroll, boss drop bryo essence, giant club, etc. No competion thing just having fun. The feeling making this account is like I'm back on my old days. I experiencing having burn out on the game When I was on grinding at my 6 months playing on members. Thats why I make a new f2p only account and it feels refreshing. No stress at all.😊
