bro. something I learned when I was doing this solo: shoot the purple crystals out from the top before the encounter begins and you can just breeze down tracking the elevator and not worrying about the lightning blasts. the gems are fully destroyable before you trigger the event.
You can also cheese the hearts as well, at the very start after you clear all of the crystals you can also destroy the first 3 hearts, meaning you don't have to stop and wait to kill them, and you can kill the hearts at the very bottom as well about 2/3 of the way down the tower, making the farming on the bottom much easier
I didn't realize I could just stay down there, I always destroyed the roots cause I thought the lighting was gonna keep lowering onto my head. This is excellent to know thank you!
Haha yeah I thought the same thing and actually died from the mobs right when the crystal reached the bottom. I was panicking and so confused when the battle was won 😂
Great thing abut R2 is that theres alot of exp/scrap farms. All ranging from effectivness of course but the fact there isnt just "one defacto" spot to farm is great for its longevity
Farming like this isn't good for longevity. It's disrespectful to peoples time. Scrap is a chore to get and it's going to make me drop the game in no time at all. If the other bugs don't force me out sooner.
Fun fact: you can shoot the he crystal prior to moving down. The electric field will start lowering if you stay shooting the 3 cores in the middle. You can also jump from the ledges that have no guard, so you'll have a faster way down.
Was about to comment exactly that haha. Keep in mind though when you jump down, there is a chance you die from the bottom electric field when it's not low enough for the bottom platform.
there's an amulet there called "downward spiral". you can get that after the boss fight so you can try and find the branch that holds it over one of the corridors and shoot it so it'll fall to the floor
One thing I discovered while screwing around. If you have the Soulbinder mod, attatch it to an enemy that blows itself up (The priest's raised minions or those bloated head guys), it will instantly kill everything around it. Have a video clip that I just checked, it did 15,245,999 damage to the elite with another that did 17.
if you have a second player go to great hall and start the event. kill 5 enemies till theres one left and down your friend. when you bite them twice and get inturrupted by the last enemy you and your friend make 2,000 exp per time that happens. if your friend dies reset and start again. current best exp farm with friends.
The Gilded Chambers, you can easily spawn this location when you get the Marrow Parish start in Losomn, This location yields the highest XP per run on apocalypse, use enigma handgun, run through the corridors while pulling the mobs behind you, look back, shoot, avoid their melee while you're at it, I got 3 levels from 7 to 10 in like maybe less than 30 mins run. with all XP buffs, ring, trait, concoction, half the location gets you 3k in like 3 mins or less.
Must be nice to be able to buy the experience elixir. I got two from the Ultimate Edition and that's it. For whatever reason none of my merchants update their inventory. Ever LOL it's pretty annoying actually. It's costing me lots of experience overtime.
Mudtooth npc is the only one that sells it and you have to exhaust all his stories before he will sell it to you. He is the one of the old men playing chest. Falls asleep a lot.
you have to beat the current last boss on campaign then mudtooth will start to sell the exp pots, if you already did then its probably a bug, hope the devs fix it soon
I had the same vendor bug. Reroll your campaign in offline mode, I only had to get to the second world boss and when I went back to Ward 13 my vendors were fixed. Took maybe 2 hours, survival mode and only followed the "golden path" ignoring any side dungeons.
Try alchemist as your level 10 class instead, so you can get a free revive incase you mess up, some healing, and added duration on concotions (alternatively 3 total concoctions if main class)
Use the fire storm weapon mod + Stone of malevolence ring and you can just stand up on the stairs, if you have multiple people only one person has to be active the rest can be afk. (if elites aren't spawning)
I did this it's class also when u put exp on activate it with alchemist ads main class reason u get 2 hour exp tonic,also max out scholar trait 15% more exp and put on sage ring
If ur using the enigma or any other elemental weapon - put on the Energized Neck Coil. Trust me bro. Its cooked. If you have the malevolence ring you become a infinite mod god.
Is this faster then the great halls xp farm? cause I had a group that I did it with where 1 person eats the food while the other two run into the fire place (right side of the room) and one eats the first person (who ate the food) and right before they kill the first person the third person knocks the person getting eaten so it stops the eat and they rinse and repeat that until the first player dies then person 2 eats person 3 and they keep doing that since just eating I believe 2 people each run the quickest way gives like 4k xp unless its patched or something. edit: I just realized that requires 2-3 people to do the great hall where this can be done solo so yeah Nvm this is prob best for solo or maybe this is better then the halls I havent gotten this place yet so not sure how super fast this is vs the halls.
I maxed out Archon using this a couple hours before I posted this vid, but I did also have my game on for several hours, so if there was a hotfix, maybe I wasn't playing on it? Are you sure there was an update/hotfix?

This is bugged for me. Tried days ago with pals. First run was great until it randomly stopped giving xp. We reset about a dozen times warping out and coming back, still nothing. Today I made a brand new adventure, got it again, STILL no xp. Also worth noting that no elites are spawning for some reason. All apoc
0:27 People repeating the same "this gun is broken and overpowered" presses the developers to take action, even if it's not justified at all. See Diablo 4 for example... Use enigma against bosses and you get what I'm talking about. It's a crowd control and ad clear weapon only and pretty good at that. But broken or overpowered? Not at all. A broken weapon is something you can give a beginner to clear the hardest difficulty easily. Can enigma do that? No. Also, get the Sagestone Ring for an additional 10 % xp. And play on Survivor for xp farming. Every other difficulty higher than that has diminishing returns, because the monster's health scales unproportionally and way too aggressively compared to the xp gains. UNLESS you literally can oneshot everything. On Apocalypse, monsters have almost triple the amount of health (275 %) compared to only giving you 50 % extra xp. Do the math, it's not worth it at all.
I personally don't like enigma I think it trash I use the smg with an element mod a ring to increase that mods damage then the amulet that does aoe damage with all elements use the bow with firestorm mod and slayer mutagen at lvl 10 way more effective

But true, it's not great against bosses/mutants/minibosses/etc. Didn't have sagestone at the time, but yeah it's great. Scholar trait is great too if you've beaten the game. As for difficulty, I feel ya. I think Enigma mows them down pretty quickly regardless and there will be some downtime moments where you're waiting a bit for respawns anyway, but I can see some advantages to lower difficulty. Aside from xp farming, it's worth mentioning that you will get other goodies down there, such as relic fragments. Afaik, higher difficulties give better odds of better quality relic fragments. Many of my fragments are maxed out at mythic tier over the time I've spent maxing out all my archetypes in this farm.
@@GaroShadowscaleBold so I just logged in so I could get my ring and amulet names I run royal hunting bow with firestorm mp60-r with acid shot energized neck coil sagestone (still lvling archetypes) acid stone fire stone and faerins sigil while having spirit and expertise traits maxed the aoe and constant damage from my mods skills (running engineer main gunslinger second) I just sit back and watch everything get deleted from constant element explosions and with the bow and smg constantly doing crit/weak spot damage so it just perpetual damage if enigma had a better mod other then a knockoff anarchy from D2 would be better specially at higher tiers

True, playing on Apocalypse surely has the benefit of being able to max out your relics. I've also done that. But your combined Archetype level has to be 80+ (better is 100) to drop mythics. I just wanted to clarify because alot of players wanna farm xp and do that on high difficulties, thinking it would benefit them, while the opposite is true if they don't use proper builds with maxxed out gear (which you won't have while leveling). And even then, Survivor is always better for xp alone, because there is no build that can oneshot everything constantly and reliably on Apocalypse.

That's strange. I did have an issue sometimes where the enemies on the way to the bottom didn't give me xp, and I originally had a part in the video talking about it, but when I went back to farm later, every mob gave me xp, so I cut that part out. Some others are mentioning not getting xp, but I just used this last night to max out Archon a couple hours before I posted this. Sadly, with all my archetypes maxed now, there's no real way for me to test this again
@@brownbeastoftheleaf3215 one of the more believable explainations i read was the fact that the game makes the npc "respawn" and with that eliminating any unlocks you had from the story so far and the best example to kind of proof that is that Cass sells me 2x Iron and nothing more while i have 2 strange objects
@@akuma0553 I got mine from forbidden grove but red throne can roll it too in the next area withering weald. If you don't get it on the first dungeon just reroll the world, took me like 4 times.
Firestorm with maxed out aoe size, then run ring of malevolance and an elemental handgun like nebula or enigma. I like nebula better since the mod is just fire and forget, I can basically afk farm and just keep spamming mods every 15 secs.
I think it got patched in the update but not mentioned. So for Xbox it still works since they don’t have the update yet, but I tried on pc yesterday and the enemies at the bottom weren’t rewarding xp. PS just got the update yesterday so I bet it doesn’t work for PS anymore. Just a guess though as to why it’s patched for some and not for others. 👍🏼
Edit: It is a "bug" that if you skip any part of the descent, like I did, it bugs the exp, gotta do it "the right way" They patched this out and they no longer reward exp
@@GaroShadowscaleBold I fould my issue. If you use any shortcuts or jumps, you mess up the exp at the bottom. you NEED to run it as intended to get the exp
That's impossible. Have you looked at every dungeon? There are 2 huge open areas that spawn multiple side dungeons each in every playthrough. You have like 6+ side dungeons per world and there are only a handful different ones. Cosidering it would take you at least 20 mins to check every dungeon in a world (because you have to progress the main quest to unlock every area), I find it highly unlikely that you checked everything.
@@littlej211 you find the great hall (really only super efficient with 2 other people) in Losomn, get to the end with the feast, when you activate the encounter by eating you can eat your team mates when they’re downed, doing so rewards 2,000 xp, when you eat them they die, however the xp is awarded somewhat before they die, after you essentially take a bite from their neck is when, so there are multiple ways you can essentially cancel that and then eat one person repeatedly, the most efficient way that I found was to have a designated person to start the encounter wearing no armor, and then the 2 others, one would be eating the person who started the encounter, and the other would be waiting to cancel the animation after the xp is awarded, for me the most efficient way is with a Huntress’ spear, and you basically just throw that at the person who is consuming the downed person after the bite of the neck, it cancels the animation and they will go back to being on the ground and you can repeat that 10+ times before they essentially bleed out. It’s also very efficient to have the person with the spear and the person who is eating the third player to both run engineer, as you can just put the turrets and cannons down and they’ll deal with the enemies for the most part. Don’t worry about losing out on xp, as levelling one trait or 2 is the same thing in terms of how long it’ll take.
just a warning be sure to do this on APOC. i just tried it on vet and was just getting 3 xp per entire wave and maybe 15 xp per elite that showed up. with a 25% bonus xp (forgot to use elixir D:) i didnt even get a single level after 30 min. heck i didnt even break 2k. so i gotta re roll again for 2 hours probably to get the chimney again. but on apoc Dont be me and be lazy thinking the difficulty doesn't matter just watched this vid to compare what was done different and i dont think the 15% xp boost i was missing was the issue lol there could be a delay with when xp is actually given because the way i tested was i would look at xp make a note kill one thing look again and nothing would change. until i killed a bunch of guys then i would get 3 xp. was the same with elites actually not every elite would give 15 xp it would only update after the second kill. i guess every elite was only worth 7.5 that or each guy was worth so little that it took many kills to even register. or my game is just bugged i did crash multiple times rushing yaesha over and over. only crashes ive ever gotten so that may have been a part too
There could be some bugs. When I first attempted this, the mobs on the way down gave me no xp but I got xp just fine at the bottom. Then at later attempts, the upper and lower mobs both gave me xp. Idk man, game has some bugs that need to be ironed out 😅
Veteran works fine, there is 100% a delay in receiving the xp from kills. I dual leveled medic and explorer up 5 levels each last night in just over an hour.

My buddy and I were doing an adventure on nightmare. Happened to hit this zone and I’d watched your video earlier. I told him about it and we decided to try it. We both have about half our classes maxed. We were each running 2 classes we we’re leveling. We died on first push down. Second attempt we got to the bottom. After a few minutes of clearing I checked my xp and it had not moved. Buddy checked his and confirmed the same. We killed some more and checked again. Still nothing. In the end the event paid 300 that’s all we got.

@@Kongren94The fastest way to get Exp is the feast event in the great hall. It’s not even close. With 1 person staggering, the other eating the 3rd player you can get 10-15 bites(the thing the gives exp) before said player dies. Depending on your time. This is double if either the player eating, or staggering has medic equip and revive the down person before their timer fully runs out. My team was doing around 27 bites per run with each bite giving 2.3k exp per bite. We leveled up 5 classes in 20-25 mins

I found this out after doing it multiple times with my friends. The amount of time we spent avoiding those crystals was hell

You can also go back to the top after completing walk through it and shoot it down if you missed it initially

I just wanted to clarify because alot of players wanna farm xp and do that on high difficulties, thinking it would benefit them, while the opposite is true if they don't use proper builds with maxxed out gear (which you won't have while leveling). And even then, Survivor is always better for xp alone, because there is no build that can oneshot everything constantly and reliably on Apocalypse.

I'm not getting any exp from killing the minions nor the Elites do you know why?
That's strange. I did have an issue sometimes where the enemies on the way to the bottom didn't give me xp, and I originally had a part in the video talking about it, but when I went back to farm later, every mob gave me xp, so I cut that part out.
Some others are mentioning not getting xp, but I just used this last night to max out Archon a couple hours before I posted this. Sadly, with all my archetypes maxed now, there's no real way for me to test this again

@@akuma0553 I got mine from forbidden grove but red throne can roll it too in the next area withering weald. If you don't get it on the first dungeon just reroll the world, took me like 4 times.

Firestorm makes the xp farm itself for the most part.

We did this as a trio with triple firenado and we pretty much stood there waiting for most of the time :)
Firestorm with maxed out aoe size, then run ring of malevolance and an elemental handgun like nebula or enigma. I like nebula better since the mod is just fire and forget, I can basically afk farm and just keep spamming mods every 15 secs.

I think it got patched in the update but not mentioned. So for Xbox it still works since they don’t have the update yet, but I tried on pc yesterday and the enemies at the bottom weren’t rewarding xp. PS just got the update yesterday so I bet it doesn’t work for PS anymore. Just a guess though as to why it’s patched for some and not for others. 👍🏼

Edit: It is a "bug" that if you skip any part of the descent, like I did, it bugs the exp, gotta do it "the right way"

That's impossible. Have you looked at every dungeon? There are 2 huge open areas that spawn multiple side dungeons each in every playthrough. You have like 6+ side dungeons per world and there are only a handful different ones. Cosidering it would take you at least 20 mins to check every dungeon in a world (because you have to progress the main quest to unlock every area), I find it highly unlikely that you checked everything.

Was the zone level higher than your power level? xp gain is garbage if you're in an underleveled zone 👍

@@littlej211 you find the great hall (really only super efficient with 2 other people) in Losomn, get to the end with the feast, when you activate the encounter by eating you can eat your team mates when they’re downed, doing so rewards 2,000 xp, when you eat them they die, however the xp is awarded somewhat before they die, after you essentially take a bite from their neck is when, so there are multiple ways you can essentially cancel that and then eat one person repeatedly, the most efficient way that I found was to have a designated person to start the encounter wearing no armor, and then the 2 others, one would be eating the person who started the encounter, and the other would be waiting to cancel the animation after the xp is awarded, for me the most efficient way is with a Huntress’ spear, and you basically just throw that at the person who is consuming the downed person after the bite of the neck, it cancels the animation and they will go back to being on the ground and you can repeat that 10+ times before they essentially bleed out.
It’s also very efficient to have the person with the spear and the person who is eating the third player to both run engineer, as you can just put the turrets and cannons down and they’ll deal with the enemies for the most part. Don’t worry about losing out on xp, as levelling one trait or 2 is the same thing in terms of how long it’ll take.
best xp farm is cheat engine , 1 kill and you are lvl 10

i just tried it on vet and was just getting 3 xp per entire wave and maybe 15 xp per elite that showed up. with a 25% bonus xp (forgot to use elixir D:) i didnt even get a single level after 30 min.
heck i didnt even break 2k. so i gotta re roll again for 2 hours probably to get the chimney again. but on apoc
Dont be me and be lazy thinking the difficulty doesn't matter just watched this vid to compare what was done different and i dont think the 15% xp boost i was missing was the issue lol
there could be a delay with when xp is actually given because the way i tested was i would look at xp make a note kill one thing look again and nothing would change. until i killed a bunch of guys then i would get 3 xp. was the same with elites actually not every elite would give 15 xp it would only update after the second kill. i guess every elite was only worth 7.5
that or each guy was worth so little that it took many kills to even register.
or my game is just bugged i did crash multiple times rushing yaesha over and over. only crashes ive ever gotten so that may have been a part too
There could be some bugs. When I first attempted this, the mobs on the way down gave me no xp but I got xp just fine at the bottom. Then at later attempts, the upper and lower mobs both gave me xp. Idk man, game has some bugs that need to be ironed out 😅
Veteran works fine, there is 100% a delay in receiving the xp from kills. I dual leveled medic and explorer up 5 levels each last night in just over an hour.
Make sure the instance is one level higher than you. If it’s under your level you get reduced experience.

My buddy and I were doing an adventure on nightmare. Happened to hit this zone and I’d watched your video earlier. I told him about it and we decided to try it. We both have about half our classes maxed. We were each running 2 classes we we’re leveling. We died on first push down. Second attempt we got to the bottom. After a few minutes of clearing I checked my xp and it had not moved. Buddy checked his and confirmed the same. We killed some more and checked again. Still nothing. In the end the event paid 300 that’s all we got.

I tried it with all of the xp gear and potions possible, it's boring and slow.
It's the fastest way to get exp because of the mob density and generally any kind of farming becomes boring, due to its repetitive nature.

With 1 person staggering, the other eating the 3rd player you can get 10-15 bites(the thing the gives exp) before said player dies. Depending on your time. This is double if either the player eating, or staggering has medic equip and revive the down person before their timer fully runs out.
My team was doing around 27 bites per run with each bite giving 2.3k exp per bite. We leveled up 5 classes in 20-25 mins
So 62k exp in a minute an a half? 2 mins if you’re slow. It’s a nuts farm. Definitely don’t waste time farming anything else if your only goal is exp.
