I find myself using this kit lens more than I thought, it's very good for what it is and does a good job for a walkaround photo lens. My only beef with it is that it's too dark for what I shoot, so I mostly use it for mindless shooting when I go out with friends and colleagues. I'm not sure about its video capabilities as I haven't tried it for that, but it looks OK from what you shared here. To me, the Z fc is my second most used body, so I'm not parting away with it anytime soon.
@@roybixby6135 jury is still out wether or not I continue with the Zfc. Started off as a fun set up, but I’m more involved with content creation than ever so I’m not sure how I’ll proceed. I’d rather be FX across the board
I'm more a "photo" guy than video - bud did enjoy this. Personally I do like the lens - small and light for walk-around. (on Z50 rather than Z fc .. although once I get an upgrade to my Z6 and a lens or two - I may be in the market for the zfc .. I like the old fashioned knobs since that's what I grew up with (yea - I'm old). Anyway .. just dropped by to support a friend .. have a good one.
i wish it was 5.6 at the 50mm, because then it would be somewhat acceptable at around 33mm (50mm Eqv.). Apart from that , for a kit lens its a no brainer for beginners(which was me when i got the Z30). i mean you cant get a VR lens for even triple the price for what you pay on top of the camera body.
Hi, i have Nikon Zfc and bought a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 S lens few days ago. Still waiting to take it. Do you think Zfc and this lens will work together well? Before I undecided to buy Z body or z lens and thought lens will be better cause I have z body already but crop sensor. What do you think?
Absolutely! That lens is an absolutely bad ass piece of glass. The ZFc is a crop sensor camera with a 1.5 crop, so you’re looking at 36-105mm. Excellent range for every style of photography. Congrats on your purchase.
Hello, I'm Kadir from Turkey, I just got this machine. It's a nice machine, but I don't know how to use it. I'm an e-commerce marketer. I'll use the machine for product shooting. I need your suggestions and recommendations. Thank you.
For product shooting, I like stopped down apertures with good lighting and low ISO, experiment with light position to figure out what you like the most. For shutter speed, you can get away with low shutter speeds to keep ISO down with f/5.6 or 6.3. The MOST important thing, lighting lighting lighting. And cheap lighting is totally fine, you just need enough of it. Get a tripod too
Hello, the thing I'm most curious about is what the units should be on the adjustment buttons on the machine, at what position they should be, so I bought a tripod.@@ZWadePhoto
@@Stop-All-War if you got the cash, .95. I mean what do they want. A 35mm f/0.0? They ain’t even any glass in it. lol it’s just a plastic barrel with a Z mount at the back lmfao
Apart from image quality this lens seems to tick most of the features that I avoid in a Lens. I hate DX crop, variable aperture, plastic lens mounts and non-internal focusing...🦘

Right on buddy! Thanks for commenting.
I quite like the zfc from a vlogging perspective. 4k video nice and sharp even with kit lens!
I like it too. Just tired of the crop factor in my small working space
A cute camera - but I wouldn't invest in DX glass...🦘

This makes no sense just buy a used z6 instead to go with that lens

Shame Nikon has no interest in making prime lenses with low light apertures.
Huh? How low? They have 1.8 and 1.2

Exactly. Not many options in the DX field
