I did learn this with bad form releasing the pinky from the stick, 3:53 is good form keep the complete hands on the stick during the complete motion for the best results.
The best warm up/cool down exercise for shoulders. Helped my shoulder impingement greatly

I've started doing this everyday before every workout and I use a band. It's super tight where my pec meets my humerus.
