I’m 36. I know what you mean. But oddly it gives me a feeling of dread that I’ve gotta be off to school soon as I watch that clock getting closer to 8:00 am.
I like to sit and reflect about how this world was so different from now. This show happened in a world that existed before 911, before Iraq war, before the 2008 Stockmarket crash, before Facebook and the rise of social media, before Trump, before the smart phone, before COVID, before self driving cars, before the Chinese meteoric rise to power, before the decline of America, before Brexit, before antifa.
The 90s was by no means perfect and I am sure we can dredge out many of stories of socioeconomic problems back then but today this world has become so cynical, so politically correct, the problems in the USA have never been greater. China is on the verge of taking over as the most powerful country in the world while the USA is facing a major pandemic and is so divided along political lines
I actually recorded the last ever episode of this back in 2003... I was only 15!.... I shed a tear or 2 that day!... it was a very sad day!.. morning TV was never the same again!..

It's 23/05/24... and I've just watched this whole show and laughed alot... doesn't that say alot about modern day TV!.. I was proballey 16 when this was on... I'm 47 now.
You were older than that as I was 17 and I’m 42😮😮😮
Hahah - not very good at maths I'd reckon!!. I was at University in 98 and I'm 46.
OK guys, I was 21 then! 🤣.. the main point wasn't the age .. lol
@@gtavmj-1852 LOL!!
@@gtavmj-1852 21 watching breakfast tv is very different to 16 watching breakfast tv🤷🏼♀️😂
Superb! My life will once again start at 7.
(or whenever I play this video)
I was 14 years old when this was on, in high school. They don’t make shows like this anymore, it’s just Piers Morgan moaning about everything on the Morning show😂🤨
Same mate 84er?
More like the moaning show...
@@mesaverde2042 yeah mate, March 84 👍🏻
1985 I was born lol
82, this was a great show comparing to GMTV 🥱
Used to take me ages getting out of bed.. I was always late for school 🥰
Happier times, send me back to the 90's!!
Thanks for posting great to watch this again in 2018
Watching this every morning before school and having to leave before it finished. Amazing show. I fancied Denise so bad! Still do to be fair.
Wow, thanks for uploading this! Instant nostalgia!!!
Getting ready before secondry school memories, really gets you down looking back then and how real life seemed compared to what we are seeing in 2024.
Brilliant and I don’t think Johnny appreciated just how funny Denise was - and still is 😁. A great pairing tho and much better than Piers & our Sue on GMB 😁
It’s genuinely sad to see this style of presentation hasn’t cycled back into popularity yet... it’s so actively fun to watch.
Everything is so stale and bland now, also just politics, propaganda depression and pc crap.
@@TheMartinTD social media rammed everything to the forefront and now everyone can see the sheeet thats going on and my have these last few years shown it. Even radio is misery they have radio 1 on at work and when "News beat" comes on i just want to smash the radio up as all they put out is government propaganda and typical BBC rubbish.
Also funny when Johnny moaned about "daily mails" immigration report i wonder what he'd say now
It takes immense skill to essentially ad lib on live morning TV for 2 hours. And be humorous without being confrontational or crude or offensive. Few of today's presenters can do it
@TheMartinTD no, your stale and bland now. the kids today still watch hysterical high energy crap, just on youtube.
I miss this show this is so nostalgic to me and a time when we had no worries in the world, I’m 35 now lol I use to watch this before school
I’m 36. I know what you mean. But oddly it gives me a feeling of dread that I’ve gotta be off to school soon as I watch that clock getting closer to 8:00 am.
@@wobuzhidaoification ahh I know man a feeling of dread haha little did we know they were the best years of our life
@@stickboy8219 totally. :) Still, at least we are now half way to 70. 😩
Yeah good times. I'm knocking on 40 now but Big Breakfast and TFI always put a smile on my face.
35 here too and from Blackburn so when the news report mentioned rovers it made it even more personal haha
The Big Breakfast made me late to school a few times lol. Loved this show!
The New world order was still at work we just wasn woke then time to watch old show etc and spot it all
Antifa doesn't exist. Except in the terrified minds of fascists.
Ok boomer
Before a nasty criminal was hailed a "saint" by BLM.
I love this,
I am watching this in 2021,
while still homeless,
not all my doing,watching
on my mobile phone
Hope thing have worked out kid and your safe and warm.
These two were great. Much more fun than these days.
Brilliant watching this. Johnny and Denise were fantastic, great chemistry. Oh take me back to these mornings. A great way to start the day 🔥
I actually recorded the last ever episode of this back in 2003... I was only 15!.... I shed a tear or 2 that day!... it was a very sad day!.. morning TV was never the same again!..
It was soundtrack to our early morning lives … took the sting out of Monday morning or pulling sickies and watching it in bed … it light , fun and silly . Thank you big breakfast ❤
Oversized Ralf Lauren shirt was mandatory Friday night wear, Johnny was spot on ..........
Bang on I was also in that category at the time.
*Fake Ralph Lauren shirt was mandatory!
Nah Ben Sherman for me. And kickers shoes
Ben Sherman and Levis 501's was me
Classic combo. Lurid coloured Ben Sherman shirt, cream Cottonfield jeans and a nice pair of Kickers. Also had a pair of Rockport boots. Splash of original Tommy Hilfiger aftershave and I was good to go 😁
Crazyy i wish i could go back i was like 8 years old getting ready for school, and at the time i probably used to think was boring.was only watching it because my mum was and we had one tv in 1998, but now i realised this was actually good
90’s channel 4 TV was all like this...The Word, TFI Friday etc
Dont forget eurotrash
I can't help but notice, just 5 minutes in, so many people have passed away. George Michael, Barbara Windsor, Lionel Blair, Mike Reid, *both* of the 'Two Fat Ladies', Jennifer Paterson Clarissa Dickson Wright. 1998 seems like yesterday.
Denise was sooooooo freaking hot!!!! College years for me bk then and she was the only reason I used to get up every morning!!!
Yea I bet she helped you get it up in the morning alright lol
Il second that omg she’s as fit as fuck 😜😜😜😜
TV GOLD! I Used to record on VHS everyday and watch in the afternoon when I got home from college
Great upload - I've wondered for ages if anyone's got a full show saved somewhere. Hands down the greatest BB duo - Johnny and Denise were brilliant. Chris & Gaby didn't come close to them.
I think I still have the overnight millennium special recorded on LongPlay VHS
@@dcarbs2979 If it’s on long play you probably have around four and half hours left to get a couple of Arnie films on or maybe like adams family values. Don’t forget to write on the label though and maybe even draw a picture on the case.
@@boxingislife471 From what I remember it was a literally *all-night* show! 10 hours+ There is no space :-)
Even the news was stuffed full of innuendo, fantastic!
My mom would blast the volume up on the theme of big breakfast just to wake us up fr school 🤣
This is an absolute blast from the past and I have no idea why it randomly popped up as recommended! Where's carpet monster and zig n zag? 😂.
Yes, I was one of those kids putting my tie on for school, ready to leave the house watching this. Quality
WHY CANT WE HAVE THIS NOW,I FEEL SAD :{
They’re re-releasing it, I doubt it will be the same though
@@milanvillan are they?
@@KevCraven yes, apparently so
Woooo
@@milanvillan yeah I just read about it. For black takeover day there will be a one off special in 2021. Doesn’t sound promising though as none of the original team are involved with it.
Phil Gayle - a name I haven't heard in decades! Wow
If you ever fly with Easyjet, he does the safety announcement at the start of the flight (or at least he did).
Mornings were so funny watching these two. Imagine the outrage if this was aired today. Sad world.
The good old days with proper banter. Rave culture and the Brit pop culture brought something special to the 90s. Things started to go downhill towards the mid 2000's
Great times
Blair opened the floodgates in 1997 to "rub their noses in diversity"
wrong, it started to go downhill late 60's, early 70's.
I've screened my phone the TV and watching this instead of the current news and crap . And I've left the house with a smile like I always used to instead of the shit of today .
Christ she was fit
She looked dirty as fuck when 1st started on it doing weather
Big breakfast was the bomb, i was in primary school when this was on and my eyes were glued to it right til the moment it was time to go to school!
Absolute TV GOLD. What a time
To be alive
90s vibes got me smiling .......))) bring back the nineties 💜
