- Let's continue in geek-mode and upgrade another gear of mine. This time: The Roland JX3P! Thanks to Series Circuits'-upgrade kit I'm now able to control the JX3P via my DAW or any MIDI-Controller. Awesome!

It's crazy to see how much more expensive this has become. I paid €35 + €9.50 Shipping in 2012 for the Organix-kit from the original creator (Laurens Schilling). Pre-built kits were €50 back then.

That was my thought, too. It adds features to the synth but is fully transparent.
It is kind that you give kudos to Oliver from seriescircuits, but the kit has been developped by Laurens Schilling and is known as "Organix"-kit. Seriescircuits did license the kit from Laurens.

If this is the new version of the Organix midi mod, does this mean that the iPG programmer - which has a template for the Organix - will work with this? If so, I see myself getting the midi kit.

Works flawlessly. IMHO it was a good decision to upgrade the JX3P since as a result I’m using it way more in my productions than before.
Can this mod be used without the PG200? Can a midi controller be used in place of the PG200 upon installation of this mod?
Yes the mod works without the pg200. Check the mod’s CV-ids and make sure that your controller can control them, then any controller works
Is this different than the kiwi mod?
It is. KIWI mod includes change of the main processor and adding a ton of possibilities consequently...
