Hahaha big w for you . Nobody actually pay attention to the noise . Heck even linus complaints later but surely edited it well. Yeah to sum up the noise are arguably the most important point, to be taken, while u gaming. Otherwise gamers broke for nothing.
For anyone going with a normal ATX motherboard, I recommend the Nzxt h6 flow or Lian Li O11 Dynamic (y 60 is also good but costs more). Like the guy in the video says, Ryzen CPU's run cooler and the 7800x3d is the best gaming CPU on the market (even a 5800x3d works wonders and is the counterpart to the 7800x3d for am4 motherboards). GPU depends on the budget but I would recommend a 6800xt or higher (7800xt for Europeans), if you're going with a 7800x3d or 5800x3d CPU and raytracing isn't something you prefer to have while playing games. Nvidia GPU's cost more but that's only because they have the market for higher end cards (4080 and 4090) and their cards perform much better at raytracing. Another small tip, intake should always be a bit more then outtake. Having too much outtake is what causes a lot of dust build up, as it will start drawing air not only from the parts that have dust covers but any open space on the case. Have fun building 😁
Is it a big difference between Nzxt h7 and Nzxt h7 flow for silent pc? I want to go 7800xt and Ryzen 5 7600 or Ryzen 5 7600x for gaming in 1440p, what you think?
Hey id highly suggest undervolting your graphics card and cpu. You can greatly reduce temperatures and you would probably be able to run your gpu at full boost speeds. There are many guides on how to undervolt your gpu on youtube. Wouldnt need to lower the power limit to reduce temps and would get the full performance, nvidia gpu out the box have very high voltages for the given clock speeds.
Hey, you're absolutely right! But my CPU is quiet even under stress load, because water cooling is overkill for it. As for the RTX 4090, I've heard that power limiting works about the same as stress reduction (it's kind of a lazy way to lower the voltage). But I'll do some more research when I have some time :)
Thank you for this video, this is the closest I found to what I want to do. Is there anythjng you would do differently if you were building this again?
Sorry, I couldn't hear you over the 10 120mm case fans and two 140mm CPU fans I shoved into my PC. Forreal tho, Corsair and Noctua make efficent and quiet fans. Never hit above 60°C.
hi thx a lot for video, that is very important topic for me. Could u pls give me an advise, should i build a gaming pc (1440p) now or better wait for a zen 5? What cpu can u advice if integrated graphic is not important for me. I think AMD Ryzen 5 7600 is good option and with 65 TDP as well. What you think, is this GPU - Radeon 7800 XT a must for Ryzen 5 7600 or i can focus on a cheaper variant? Thank you.
Hi, glad to hear that! Regarding CPU, I usually don't give such advice as it depends on many factors (your budget, games you plan to play, monitor resolutions and refresh rate). But waiting for a CPU until almost the end of the year doesn't make much sense, especially considering that prices are usually overpriced at the beginning of sales. You can buy a 7600 now, and then always replace it with a next gen if it doesn't handle your needs. GPU also depends on the same factors, so I think it's better for you to choose :)
@@trysometech52 thx for answer. I haven’t determined the exact budget yet, it may vary, but as I understand it, it’s not worth going to 4k with less than rtx 4080 am i right? If my gpu can provide only 30-40 fps in 4k is it possible to simply rely on FSR or dlss that it will keep everything at 60-70 fps? For constant 4K@60 you can pick something lower than 4080, but overall you're right. I just can tell if that if you rely on upscaling, you better go for Nvidia, it's so much better. RAW performance - AMD. Also, in my opinion, if you go for 1440p, better go for the RAW performance :)
@@trysometech52 ty what cpu and gpu can u advice for 1440p, for mmorpg and AAA and for a *quiet PC* :) maybe 2 variants mid range and top what you think about this monitor models, are they good?
Hey ! Consider doing a custom loop. It will help a lot to reduce the noise of the computer if done right. mine is doing 23db at idle while the room is at 21db with the computer turned off (measurement done with the phone one the case of the pc)
It looks like we got pretty much the same result. It's most likely a difference in the APP measurements. In my app (db Meter) 31 dB is the minimum in complete silence at night, it just can't go lower.
13500 is nowhere near strong enough for 4090 lol on top of that you are also leaking performance due to that RAM for Intel 13/14 gen you should go with something like 6400Mhz CL32 Intel likes higher clocked RAM unlike AMD, it's just few percent performance loss but no doubt it will make bottleneck worse. I know because i tested 13500 with my RTX4080 and even with that card there was serious bottleneck at 4K, i went with 13600K instead but even with that i'm running into bottlenecks in some titles for 4090 i would go with 7800x3d or 13700k at minimum. Get case with good airflow, good quiet GPU & fans, UV GPU/CPU , then use Fan Control app and you're golden.
I had 13600K in a good case with airflow and so on, but it was still noisy. 13700K is out of the question for me. I am curious, what do you call a CPU bottleneck? Sometimes when you see 90% GPU utilization - it's not always a CPU bottleneck, it could also be a game optimization problem. There are still some games that can't utilize the GPU for 100% on 14900K. Also, my RAM is 6000Mhz, are you saying there's a huge difference between 6000 and 6400?
he did say he mainly is going to play at 4k which means his gpu will do most of the work rather than his cpu doing a mix of the work, if he went down in resolution it would start "hurting" the performance but yes it technically is a cpu bottleneck
@@trysometech52 Dude one title doesn't prove anything. Also that screen is old after updates and Phantom Liberty expansion you will bottleneck in 4K. Especially if you use RT which again increases load on CPU. Go to BG3 act 3 and see for yourself or Spider-man's Remastered, i had bottleneck with that CPU even with Last of Us at 4K though they might have patched that. Jedi Survivor will probably cause bottleneck too.
But there are plenty of 4K benchmarks with different processors in different games that show exactly the same picture. I mean, in some games the 13500 can lose to a high end processor, but how many percent of performance would that be? As long as I get 100+ fps in 4k in a single-player game - I'm happy. And I'm willing to pay that 5-10% performance in some rare games for the extra comfort that I am getting with 13500 :)
