And Taeyang and G-dragon already finished their contract with YG before the debut reality shows on air. Other members did not. Seeing Taeyang and hearing him live was the most enthralling vocal I’ve ever heard in my life. I felt as though the notes swam inside my cells and paralyzed me in the most mesmerizing way. NEVER had I experienced that even tho I go to musicals and sooo many concerts, taeyang was and IS ANOTHER LEVEL.

Even after being a huge fan of Big Bang and a fan of the recorded version of this song, seeing this performance made me realize just how GOOD Taeyang is when he's not jumping around a stage shirtless...which is SO NOT a complaint. He and this song get so much love in Korea, and it had to be a lot of pressure for both him (as his first time doing this as a duet with a female singer) and for her (butcher it and it probably kills any career prospects in singing). It still is entirely possible the BTS members will need to give up to 2 years military service before they turn 35, and essentially when they receive a 'you are enlisted to serve on this date' notice letter by the South Korean ministry of Defence.

Culturally you can see why the K-pop music industry record labels develop these artists at such a young age (12-15 years old being typical sign-up ages) followed by intense singing, dancing, music writing, composition and recorded music production training, live performance training, acting, modeling and media training etc. They develop them, release them, tour them and work them as hard as they can for 5-10 years, knowing at some point their music careers will be interupted for complsory military service. Big Hit Entertainment has just conducting Worldwide auditions for their next crop of trainee talent pool (not every trainee makes it to being released). Presumably they will soon be holding London auditions. I am not certain but I expect the traineeship to be based in South Korea.

It is my understanding that the artist of the duo is the one that works with the contestant to distribute the parts and coaches them on their harmonies. Even on top of being a vocal legend, Taeyang is also a producer and composer. His artistry shows through and through.

yeah it wasnt planned out in any way, they basically improvised and reacted to each other on spot. The whole point of this show is that fans can apply to sing with their favourite singers and they only get some limited time before the show to practice. The girl is the fan (and she is impressive!)

This in my opinion the best rendition of this song ever!! It is just amazing and I wish I could have been there for it live, because this is something you have to experience live. Both of their vocals were absolutely beautiful and perfect as I said before absolutely brilliant rendition of this song. Even though this came out awhile ago I would love to see both of them collaborated together.

His traineeship took 6 years and he debuted with the K-Pop Group Big Bang in 2006. She is amazing, Taeyang is great but she is just out of this world her vocals have a lot of range, I wonder if she was signed like another contestant got signed after being on a show like this one.

Culturally you can see why the K-pop music industry record labels develop these artists at such a young age (12-15 years old being typical sign-up ages) followed by intense singing, dancing, music writing, composition and recorded music production training, live performance training, acting, modeling and media training etc.
They develop them, release them, tour them and work them as hard as they can for 5-10 years, knowing at some point their music careers will be interupted for complsory military service.
Big Hit Entertainment has just conducting Worldwide auditions for their next crop of trainee talent pool (not every trainee makes it to being released). Presumably they will soon be holding London auditions. I am not certain but I expect the traineeship to be based in South Korea.
