I personally think all our noses and sense of smell mature over time and have gotten used to scents. I don’t think any fragrance is going to smell the same as when we first smelled it. Especially the strength. People into fragrances are constantly smelling scents. Our sense of smell definitely has to take a toll on it. Just my thoughts. Great video. Thanks Aaron! You’re the best in the game.
Thank you for your review Aaron!! I always appreciate your input and knowledge about fragrances. I'm eagerly awaiting your review of ‘White Suede' by Tom Ford. I've noticed there aren't a lot of reviews out there for it, so I'll be waiting with the bucket of popcorn to see if you'll eventually review it lol! Take care and keep up the amazing work that you do!! Side note, I'll be purchasing Carbon soon to help my current fragrance collection better project! Have a great day!
I love the fact that Aaron just called Drake "some rapper". Absolutely iconic! Much like this fragrance. It's one of my favourites. Thank goodness I still have an OG batch.
You’re correct, this is absolutely being done better by another company. La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi, captures the older version’s core essence and longevity quite well. Excellent value too.
I don’t believe it’s changed. This is my all-time favorite cologne. I bought a bottle about 10 years ago and I got a new bottle last year. There was nothing different when it takes you back the way you did for me. It’s hard to believe anything changed.
I don’t know the original, bought a 2023 bottle and for me, it is very strong but wearable and I enjoy it. I also have the 2023 (more tamed Aventus), don’t know the original and I am very pleased with it.
I’ve got a 2019 TL 1.7oz bottle I bought at the Tom Ford store in New York. Longevity on that is 2 day’s for 1-2 spray’s, i have to spray under 2 layers of shirts in the winter just to get whiffs of it coming thru… otherwise I will choke out a room!
Aaron i don't know if you read these comments or not But lemme tell you i just love your voice and your work I love your fragnances as well ❤️ Kindly Please make a longer videos so we can learn more from you Your affords are much appreciated !
I love most of tf fragrances.. tuscan leather is a fragrance I love and totally agree with the cocaine reference. This is always near the top of my want list but I always find another tf that I want more.. Keep up the good work Aaron. . I think your brilliant
I loved the original TL, but I must say that I find some similarity to your Chocoloate, Rose & Oud (I have an original clear bottle w/the black & white label). It's certainly not the same, but the oud in yours reminds me of that cocaine accord minus the leather in the mid to early drydown. I MUCH prefer wearing your CR&O to TL. I definitely agree that the current version of TL is weaker than when it was first released. I don't get much projection, but TF does last on my heavily-tatooed skin and I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. Thanks for re-reviewing this for us, Aaron!
I know exactly what he’s talking about when he said it was outrageous. When I first bought it ten years ago it actually made my heart race. Not sure if I’d risk buying it today based on Aaron’s review
Only have around 50ml of the 2012 vintage batch left.. such a legendary scent. Quite outrageous indeed w insane longevity and that classic cocaine note
Really enjoy TL but like Aventus this has been cloned to death Parfums de Marleys Goldolphin is very similar. Does it smell like the toot? It's been a while since I did a line.
I hope someday you review Comme Des Garcons Zero. It has a Varnish accord and it smells exactly like wood varnish but it's super bright and addictive I have no idea how. It really intrigued me
This is the most rock and roll scent to ever exist. Wear it absolutely anywhere with utter confidence, because it's not the ideal scent for any occasion. No regrets. A goddamn masterpiece. My number 1 favorite scent. 6.66/10.
Guys, I’ve been wearing the original Ombré Leather and I love it, I don’t know if you agree but to me at least I called it as one of the mysterious scents. So if I call ombré leather ‘mysterious scent’ which ‘mysterious’ scents you can suggest? I don’t like the brands such as Chanel, YSL etc, to me they smell so artificial. Can you please suggest similar scents to Ombré Leather? I have pale skin btw. Thanks!
Aaron, i just got a sample of your patchouli noir, then heard you are discontinuing it, I usually hate patchouli but literally fell in love with your patchouli noir, i hope its not being discontinued 😫😫
I have it and I have to agree, it is toned down, which I guess can be both good and bad, it really depends on what you like. I prefer more daring and challenging perfumery and I still think it is that, I just wish it had that little bit of extra edge to it. I do have to recommend Nishane Suede et Safran to those looking for a more strong and dark TL. It's an Extrait, it's somewhat affordable compared to Tom Ford if you find a good deal on it and although I now own Tuscan Leather, I wish I would've waited a bit to discover Suede et Safran. I didn't get it yet because two Tuscan Leathers would be a bit redundant but I do really love it, so yes there are definitely brands picking up on this and getting inspired by the old Tom Ford releases.
I had the Suede et Safran, i was hoping it will replace TL. Only the first 2 minutes were similar to TL, after that it was Ombre Leather with 12+ hours of longevity. Sold it few days ago, added some extra bucks and bought the 100ml TL. 2nd bottle btw. TL, whether the old formulation or the new one, both are masterfully crafted, both iconic. Never replaceable, no other perfumery can harmonize these notes as good as TF.
This is the fragrance that got me interested in fragrances. The first time I smelled it, my mind was blown. I'd never smelled anything like it at the time. I've still got two of those cocaine batch bottles lol. They are harder to wear, so I don't rock them often, but I feel bold and invigorated every time that I do.
I tried this just recently, after trying Argos Bacio Immortale, which is really similar. I bought the whole Argos sample pack and just chose my favorite, which was the one really similar to Tuscan Leather.
I was having a clear-up & found some bottles of TF i bought when they first came out in 2007 (Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Vanille, Moss Breches, Japon Noir, Purple Patchouli, Bois Rouge). -the ones that are still around definitely smell much weaker & less complex than the original bottles i have & the ones that were discontinued are way more interesting than anything TF has put out in the last 5 years
Hi, Aaron. Nice review. Have you tried Tuscan Leather Intense? Many people seem to think of it as closer to the original TL formulation. It’s a bit dirtier and has an almost petrol-like opening. I love it!
Do you have any suggestions that smell like Spicebomb Infrared but are a bit stronger and have more longevity? I love the stuff but it fades quite quick on my skin.
I was disappointed by this too,its lovely while it lasts. Just started using your fragrances Aaron, simply gorgeous and long lasting,my favourite being gardenia blanc,at last beautiful fragrances that go on for longer
I purchased a 50ml of this for the first time a few weeks ago and I have been loving it! I remember testing it a few months ago at a Sephora near me, I was impressed by how daring and bold it smelled. Thankfully I only paid about $109 for this bottle at Maxaroma which I think was a pretty good deal. Great video as always Aaron 👍been loving how informative your videos are. (2020 batch)

I always like Tuscan Leather but have one that I like even better which is Safari Extreme. A little smoother and sweeter leather. (Not the limited edition which I haven't tried.
You probably have no clue how harsh the original was. This refined version lasts 19 hrs on your skin. It’s OP af. So they had to nerf it. But this is so much better.

Hi Yes as long as he is well behaved and doesnt wee. The factory has a very powerful strong fragrance smell. Your dog might cough and be unwell from the level of perfume.
Hey Aaron, I bought a Tuscan Leather from douglas in europe. Its 100 % real. I checked everything 100 times and douglas only sells originals. They are a big company. But my TL smells completely different from the tester I smelled in the shop. The tester was long lasting, projecting and had that cocaine note in it. The flakon I got: Right after I sprayed only decetable skin near and almost vanishes after 1 hour. It smells like tuscan dna but without the smokey strong scent and the cocaine note. Nobody can smell it on me and it lasts for 30-60 mins skin near. Whats wrong with my tuscan? How can they sell this garbage for 200 bucks. Thanks in advance.
All formulations are different especially polo by Ralph Lauren, in fact aaron I've done a lot of research and basically found that Tom ford worked with gucci and developed gucci rush& gucci envy, now discontinued, gucci envy is similar to vintage polo, BUT now I've actually found that FLORIS released elite in 1851 as a shave cream, then ions later Carlos benaim/Ralph Lauren copied the fragrance and bottled it releasing it in 1978 as polo taking all the credit, a short while after FLORIS decided to bottle & release the original elite in 1979/1980. Coming back to the tom ford with gucci envy, its quite similar aswell, or was anyway. It's a cut throat industry, xx
A similar fragrance that I have that's not been reformulated and still projects well and lasts is PdM Godolphin. Maybe Aaron could review that one to compare the two? I always rush to watch Aaron's newest reviews to get educated on the raw materials used and how they interact. I'm better able to nail my blind buys and not waste money. Good stuff😀
I had Tuscan Leather intense, smelled like petrol or some kind of chemical smell. I loved it but I got bored of it pretty quickly as I find with all of the other synthetic perfumes, you like them at the beginning but then you get a headache by the end of the day...To all perfume enthusiasts I really recommend to try out some artisanal perfumers like Ensar Oud, Bortnikoff, Pasha Sultan etc. Who uses masses of high quality natural raw materials, even some of Rojas work are amazing like Great Britain and all mighty Diagilev which is changing a lot till the dry down. Yes it costs a lot but you don't have to buy a 100ml bottle. Bottom line is that we need more natural perfumers, I have nothing against perfumers who does everything synthetically but I think there should be a balance. 80-90%natural ingredients and 20-10% naturals to have an extra boost that should do the job. Perfumes were always for the rich people I realized, middle classes can have perfumes now only because cheep synthetic materials were invented. Apart from that nothing changed
I enjoyed the cocain scent about Tuscan leather, but didn’t do much for me in terms of wanting to wear it. I’m an active person for my line of work, will by the ATH Carbon to prep my skin if I’m going to wear a Tom Ford fragrance. The longevity is always an issue with me for Tom Ford.
I used to love this.... But as you say , lots of his better work has been reformulated to be more crowd pleasing rather than shocking and polarizing which is what drew me to Tom Ford in the first place... Great review 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
One thing I've learned in this is that my preferences for leather fragrances are pretty much the opposite of Aaron's. The smoother, rounder, sweet-spicy Ombré Leather along with other options (Clive Christian C Woody Leather, Nicolaï Baïkal Leather Intense, and especially Omanluxury Angham) are much more my taste. And also that I don't get out much by Aaron standards - I have never smelled anything adjacent to cocaine and probably never will. I guess now I have Tuscan Leather as food for the imagination 😇😂
My bottle is a 2019 usa made. Not sure what that makes it. Nevertheless it's still a punchy statement maker. I hadn't tried many fragrances when I first smelled this and it left an impression!
I used the words it’s been reformulated at Nordstrom the other day referring to the latest batch of Creed Aventus the employee behind the creed counter immediately said that’s false that’s a lie that’s RUclipsrs trying to convince you older batches are better I said no actually I can smell the difference It doesn’t have that same high-quality level anymore, Kind of funny the quality level goes down but the price goes up at $495 for a bottle, Obvious, this is the same story with TF-tuscan leather it was once one of the greatest fragrances available and now it’s just mediocre lame, Lol
I got the dupe from Oakcha called Cocaigne and didn’t think much of it other than I heard it was a great dupe of TF Tusacan Leather and I was absolutely enthralled by the fragrance. I’ve never tried the actual narcotic or smelled it and had no idea even with the name of the dupe. So I’m actually a bit concerned that I am literally intoxicated by this fragrance and can’t get enough of it. I am really glad I never dabbled with the real thing. Lol
Other than people who have similar hooters to yours, no-one would be able to tell the difference between Maison Alhambra's 'Toscano Leather' and this. Apart from the odd two hundred and fifty quid that is.
Was watching ur video and thinking that are u gonna say its not strong anymore!!! 😄😀 ... I bought last year and doesn't feel like a strong skin or animalic accord and its just like a daily wear fragrance now... longevity and projection are not best as well.. overpriced 😉
Just want to mention once again, love the moving hands sparkle sound effects in the intro. I always look forward to Aaron's reviews.

There's nothing like smelling a fragrance for the first time it's mind blowing then after it's not as amazing as the first time
Definitely has been reformulated though, its weaker.
I have enjoyed every single minute of your description about by far, my favourite perfume! 👌👌👌
Brilliant talk! 😉👏
I normally dont like leather fragrances, but this one was love at first sniff. This scent is so unique and genius!

Another curiosity I have, is it less outrageous to how you remember because your nose is now more experienced, and your desensitised. And also that I don't get out much by Aaron standards - I have never smelled anything adjacent to cocaine and probably never will. I guess now I have Tuscan Leather as food for the imagination 😇😂
Aaron gave Ombré Leather 9 1/2 he liked that better
review electimuss capua!
My bottle is a 2019 usa made. Not sure what that makes it. Nevertheless it's still a punchy statement maker. I hadn't tried many fragrances when I first smelled this and it left an impression!
Tuscan Leather original launched in 2007 , by 2019 it had already been reformulated at least 3 times.
This perfume is too harsh for me. One of my friends said said that it smells like gasoline to him
I used the words it’s been reformulated at Nordstrom the other day referring to the latest batch of Creed Aventus the employee behind the creed counter immediately said that’s false that’s a lie that’s RUclipsrs trying to convince you older batches are better I said no actually I can smell the difference It doesn’t have that same high-quality level anymore,
Kind of funny the quality level goes down but the price goes up at $495 for a bottle,
Obvious, this is the same story with TF-tuscan leather it was once one of the greatest fragrances available and now it’s just mediocre lame,
Lol
Asked for a review. Dude provides a soliloquy
Personally, I wouldn't wear the newest formulations. If you can find the older batches out there, it's far better (in my opinion)
No need to make this review too complicated. It’s basically men’s version of Chanel No. 5 which is a popular women’s fragrance.
Lol
Review the new armani Code bro and swy absoloutly please❤ love your shit
I really need to get up to date on this "cocaine" note😅
Other than people who have similar hooters to yours, no-one would be able to tell the difference between Maison Alhambra's 'Toscano Leather' and this. Apart from the odd two hundred and fifty quid that is.
Was watching ur video and thinking that are u gonna say its not strong anymore!!! 😄😀 ... I bought last year and doesn't feel like a strong skin or animalic accord and its just like a daily wear fragrance now... longevity and projection are not best as well.. overpriced 😉
FINALLY
La Yu qyaam by rasaasi is THE REAL TL now 😏✌️
Do you have it?
Nooooo… not another tom ford review!!! I just cant…..😭😭😭😂
Smells like an expensive ashtray to me. In a good way.
