    Paint job on the Flyers piece looks great but I'm a home grown Blackhawks fan!
    Two great franchises and one great piece of art!🎉

      Hi Chuck. Yes, I am a Flyers fan, but I am also a Marc Andre Flurry fan, and when he was with the Blackhaws for a short time, I would route for your team as well. Thanks for dropping me a comment and Happy New Year.

    Couldn't you use a bleedchecker instead of the uvls to seal in the black candy? That looks awesome and now I have to try this! And "Let's go FLYERS!!!!"

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  Год назад +1

      Thomas, yes! you can use the bleed checker. It was developed to lock in the candys. There really is three things you can use, UVLS, Bleed Checker and clear coat. The bleed checker works it just takes a little more effort to apply. As always Thomas, thanks for watching. I appreciate the support.

    Great video as always and that flyers piece looks really good (should be a canucks one), I hate to see that the flyers have a few injuries to very key players.

      Mike, thanks for the kind words and I'm sure Jim can make a Canucks Mask, lol. I don't expect much from the Flyers this year but I will be watching a rooting them on every game. That's one of the things I like about hockey fans is that when you go to a game no matter who you're rooting for they are all friendly.

    How tough would this painting process be coming into contact with other metals?
    Im not lookimg for something permanent and unscratchable per say but not something fragile either

      Nah this tutorial is way to complex for what I'm looking to paint

      Corbin, createx can be sprayed on anything as long as the surface you are spraying is clean.

    With the tax we suffer from RUclips's endless commercials, You could be kind to us and move along without all the references that have nothing to do with the subject topic.

      Cosmos, i am sorry you are frustrated with the commercials. Making videos takes a lot of work, time and equipment, from the lighting, audio equipment and editing software and more. The commercials provide a little revenue for guys like me who are not sponsored and do it for free. The revenue is not enough to offset the total expenses but it helps. I truly love to teach and help others who want to learn the art of airbrushing. I hope you understand and I appreciate your support.

    So there is really no special paint needed to airbrush on metal?

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  Год назад

      Just Me, Not "Special" but you want to keep in mind what the paint is formulated for. For example Wicked is formulated for hard smooth surfaces and exterior use whereas illustration is not. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

      @@TheAirbrushGarage I also had the same question I was looking up other channels and they all used a few layer of primer coat before the paint coats. Is there a reason why you don't need to use a primer when working for metal objects. BTW I am using Tamiya acrylics

    • @TheAirbrushGarage
      @TheAirbrushGarage  Год назад

      @@Abyss-1 The idea is to see the swirl marks on the metal and Wicked paint is also formulated to be able to be painted on any hard surface. Now with that said, if I was going to need to cover something up like Bondo or another color I would use a primer or a product like Autoborne sealer. Yes primers promote adhesion and covers in some cases several different materials to provide a uniform color for your base coat. The only thing I would do different is if I was going to keep it outside exposed to the sun and elements I would put a 2K clear on it. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.
