Kym. Don't forget to use the First Class terminal in Frankfurt on your return journey. It is just sensational. Make sure to pick up a duck as a souvenir.
Kym, this video has everything. I see content with your son in it, your reference to an imaginary friend so you can have a second Southern Comfort, and your glee when you got your vegemite sandwich. It made me smile. I rate this video....a 9.5!
As a Swiss frequent flyer, I really enjoyed your compilation of the travel segments. So far I've only flown Swiss' 1st class on the A330 and notice that a lot has changed with the 777. Glad to see they've finally caught up with the Middle Eastern airlines. Thank you for sharing.
One of my fav airplane stats. The 777-300ER has the most powerful engines ever fitted to an aircraft. Almost 230,000lbs [combined for both engines] of thrust! The nacelle [cover] of the engine has a larger diameter than a 737 fuselage!
One vegemite and cheese sandwhich and three Southern Comfort and Cokes later... You, sir, are my hero! Probably the most relaxing 15 minute video of the year... Keep 'em coming! Cheers!
Lovely work Kym and in 2003 as a poor recently graduated uni student from Brisbane doing my tour of duty in London, was upgraded by Swiss (somehow) from Economy to Business on a return flight from Zurich back to London which included lounge access and after living off two minute noodles, made the most of it and the free plonk! A great experience. See you in Vegas.
Flew with Swiss a bit when i lived in ZRH (never first) but always with SGP back to Melbourne. You can use the outdoor pool in transit airside. one of life's greatest luxuries!
I always love your videos: you show us the world! Joined you for a glass of wine (skipped the southern comfort - too much for a video). The amount of totally unnecessary waste produced by all the creams, etc., even headphones, socks and slippers shocks me. Doesn't everyone have their own favourite stuff with them anyway? (By the way, Elmex is one of the best toothpastes in Germany.) But it's interesting to see what we miss as low-class passengers, when travelling on holidays. Been around the world (also Singapore and Australia) more uncomfortably, but that's totally okay once or twice a year. For you it's part of the job and 24 races per year, so I don't envy you (well a little yes). 😊♥
Kym, I can’t believe that you didn’t have the sales and pepper squid in the Qantas lounge in Singapore - it is to die for and available in all their first class lounges around the world apart from that another great video😊
As always, great video Kym! a 9.5 out of 10 WOW! One of your highest ratings, right? You might have given a bump in ratings based on how much you missed Vegemite. :-) Have a great summer break!
Feel like I'm tagging along on your trips. Some of your dishes would not appeal to me. But that sandwich near the end looked good. Enjoy your time off and do a video of how you kicked back and took some time off and don't forget to show us what you ate!!!
I'm exhausted just watching this. I flew from Los Angeles to Tokyo on a 16-hour business class flight for a Super GT race at Motegi. That exceeded my limits, and that was before 9/11. I don't know how you can do it without sleeping for a week when you get home.
Welcome home Kym to a lovely windy winter! Couldn't wait another 6 hours for a vegemite cheese toastie hey? Looks more tastier than the cafes back home. Hahah!
Lucky you got the roller on board. I use a backpack on domestic flights. Horribly overweight, but nobody suspects it. 2x 1D X Mark II, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 2x Speedlite 600, MacBook Pro 16“, iPad Pro 11“, Chargers, Cables… 12-13kg instead of 8. The 150-600 lives in the checked bag. They even didn’t check on the tiny CRJ-900 from FRA to Dresden (Lufthansa with Cityjet)
I travel to Belgium semi-regularly and I haven't flown into Brussels in years. Always so much more expensive. Usually, I fly into Charles de Gaulle, sometimes Schiphol. The trains tBrusselses are quicks and relatively cheap.
Elmex is a brand by the Swiss manufacturer Gaba. Gaba was bought by Colgate-Palmolive in 2004. But elmex as a brand is very well known and probably one of the biggest brands of oral hygiene products here in Switzerland.
Kym it is always a pleasure watching your VLogs, some great tips and feedback, good to see you enjoying a bloody cheese and Vegemite sanga buddy, take care, be safe and good bless 👍👍🙏✈️🏎️
What route and airlines did your son take? could you do a video on how you search and book your flights because you do a hell of a lot of random mix and match ways to get around. Id be interested.
You ask in the video title 'Is SWISS FIRST CLASS worth it?'. I would respectfully suggest that if a person's financial situation is such that they have to ask themselves if a product such as this is 'worth it', then, to them, it probably isn't. 'Worth it' is of course very subjective. The vast majority of First Class passengers are either travelling at employer/client expense, therefore don't care if it is worth it or not as somebody else is paying, are too rich to care or are frequent travellers who have decided to treat themselves to a points upgrade.
Great Episode as always!! We just returned with Swiss from Zurich to Miami in Business. Great crew but underwhelmed with the seat and the food. Had a few problems on the flight and three suitcases were damaged. Food was not as good as Lufthansa on a similar route three weeks earlier. Where is Emirates when you need them?
Have you tried the Swiss First Class lounge in Terminal E in Zurich? I prefer it to the one in terminal A (though ‘I’m not sure if they have fondue😊). Lounging on the terrace overlooking the waiting aircraft is a nice way to spend some time in good weather.
The heart attack video! Scoffs a fondue in 8 minutes, then (few hours later)has a cheese and Vegemite toastie washed down with a large so co and coke! Gives the delicious veal 8.4, the toast a 9. Omg 😂 a better way to sleep long haul is to eat less. Just a thought, have a good break.🏎️📸
Mr. 1A, I really enjoyed that video interview you did recently, and I recommend anybody watching your videos to check it out: "What it takes... with Olly Fawcett". Lots of early days stories and behind the scenes details. Have you done many of these kinds of interviews or are you blowing up on us?
This looks pretty nice for a first class, but have you tried Singapore Suites yet? So much better than Emirates or Swiss, and top notch service. You have a lot of Singapore A380 options from Australia (lucky!)
As a swiss person, I'm just amazed at the thought of a guy eating a fondue in 8 minutes in the middle of summer!
Definitely thought the same!
Australians are a weird lot. I know cos I live with 26 million of them 😅🤣😂
Nailed it
But ... isn't it normal? Schafft mer scho oder?
Fondue in summer in CH is like cappuccino after noon in IT. In theory it's possible, but it's not normal.
Thanks for visiting us on Swiss First Class!
I’m who made your Founde 😄 , until next time! 🇨🇭
Oh yay! Well done!
Elmex is a very popular brand in Europe. When I was a kid, everyone wanted to have an Elmex toothbrush! 😅
As I kid I preferred the cooler brands, but always had to use Elmex, coz "it is recommended by dentists".
@@MartinGfellerevery brand is "recommended by dentists" 😂
Kym. Don't forget to use the First Class terminal in Frankfurt on your return journey. It is just sensational. Make sure to pick up a duck as a souvenir.
Noted
A Vegemite & cheese sandwich plus three Southern Comforts & Coke? All I can say is your digestive system is a lot stronger than mine!
Kym, this video has everything. I see content with your son in it, your reference to an imaginary friend so you can have a second Southern Comfort, and your glee when you got your vegemite sandwich. It made me smile. I rate this video....a 9.5!
That’s a high number. Thanks.

I loved that was his highest rated meal! Bless! 💜

You definitely deserve more recognition for this!
Love your style, keep rocking it!
I love these journeys with Kim.
I always feel like I’m there.
So glad having an Aussie blogger who travels 🎉❤
More to come!
I’ll be in Singapore next week, I’ll see if I ask for a Kym special if they’ll give me a vegetime and cheese toastie! Top quality video mate!
Keen to hear if they will recreate it for you
Great service, wow! "Imaginary friend", loved that 🤣. That Vegemite sandwich with cheese looked delicious. Here in SA we have Marmite, very similar.
Thank you for your services Kym and I hope you have a lovely time back down under for a few weeks ❤
I hope so too!
I've been following you on insta and yt for a while now. You're literally living my dream. :)
Yay! Thank you!
Fellow Aussie, ive just tripped over your channel. Well done indeed. Your style and the production is so refreshing. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Welcome home Kym. Enjoy your break. Look forward to the 2nd half of the season. It should be a ripper race to the Constructor's Trophy.
Have a great summer break and thanks for all you do!
Thank you! You too!
Have a great vacation
I love your travel videos!

Great video buddy Travelling first is always a treat I love it
Vegemite and cheese sandwhich?! Now I have to know if Oscar and Daniel like that or just you Kym.
See you after the break Kym! A holiday recap from down under would be awesome!
Now I understand the Men at Work song "Down under" a little better...
"He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich"
Haha! Thanks Kym!
Can’t beat it.

Talk about speed eating a fondue! Looks yummy.
Great video Kym. Enjoy your R&R.
Darn it all. Nice to see how the other half live. I only have the funds to travel cattle class.
Kym, I can’t believe that you didn’t have the sales and pepper squid in the Qantas lounge in Singapore - it is to die for and available in all their first class lounges around the world apart from that another great video😊
My son had it a few months ago and said the same!
Welcome back home, Kym. I hope you enjoy your break!
I am!
Your videos are awesome. Much appreciated
This is the definition of first class service ❤

Lovely contribution as always Kym👍
Another outstanding effort! Keep them coming!
Don’t forget about my idea “eyes of the paddock”
Will do!

Nicely reviewed. Greetings from Switzerland.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Elmer is a leading Brand in Germany, the kind you’d get at an expensive dentist surgery. It’s pretty good too.
Nice video Kim, For me the stand out is always the smoked salmon 👍

Thanks so much! 😊
Really enjoyed your video Kym. You are a natural raconteur...Pls post more travelling videos. Best wishes from Lahore, Pakistan. Raza
Kym, love that you are so unpretentious. Although I hate Swiss - far too many bad experiences in Biz. Bonne chance.
Love Vegemite - you get it in Perth Scotland to 🏴 🇦🇺😀👍🏻
Another great episode, and welcome home.
I'd trade the sandwich for marmite and scrambled egg toast, but to each their own.
What route and airlines did your son take? could you do a video on how you search and book your flights because you do a hell of a lot of random mix and match ways to get around. Id be interested.
Google flights is the way to go.

Was nice to see you on Ted's notebook, the other day 😂
Great travel video. 👌
Glad you enjoyed it
That desert is called "Tiramisu"..... LOLz .....Down under people. 😅😂
45secs in ... made my day! 😅
Maybe is see you in Perth. I’m currently in Thailand but I’ll be there for two days to finally get my final continent of my bucketlist. 😂
12:45 If I'm out of Oz for an extended trip, I'll take a small jar of Vegemite with me for that craving... 🤓
I do but it doesn’t last long
Enjoy your break x
Veggimite and cheese - OMG yummy - that should be the Qantas signature food
Great Episode as always!! We just returned with Swiss from Zurich to Miami in Business. Great crew but underwhelmed with the seat and the food. Had a few problems on the flight and three suitcases were damaged. Food was not as good as Lufthansa on a similar route three weeks earlier. Where is Emirates when you need them?
Great video. You should be a full time airline you-tuber. With Sam Chai and Dennis Bunnik you will be Australians best!
FYI Elmex branded toothpaste is better than colgate. it is what many dentists recommend to buy for toothpaste in german speaking countries.
The airco was not that great in 26-27 lounges a couple weeks ago friday unfortunately, you got lucky!
Hi Kym! Big fan... it be cool to see yiur opinion of the Italian airline ITA
Have a good break before heading to Amsterdam for the Dutch GP.
Have you tried the Swiss First Class lounge in Terminal E in Zurich? I prefer it to the one in terminal A (though ‘I’m not sure if they have fondue😊). Lounging on the terrace overlooking the waiting aircraft is a nice way to spend some time in good weather.
Kym, I'd be interested to know how far in advance you book all these flights? Is it all done at the start of the season? Cheers
Sometimes a year out.
Great video!
Do a shot everytime Kym says “Good” 😂
Enjoy your time off Kim.
As a brit, i quite like vegemite, its similar to bovril imo
0:45 the stack! 😂😂😂
SWISS Is The Best Airlines In Lufthansa Group My Opinion.Great Trip Report
You can take Kym out of Australia but you can't take the Australia out of Kym.
Kym does a great job
Kym what luggage do you recommend for frequent travel? and always enjoy your content.
Samsonite!
@@KymIllman Thanks!
If I was going to fly from Europe to Perth I'd go nonstop from London with Qantas.
I’m not a fan of that QF business class seat. If it was the QSuite that’d be another story.
That non-descript brand of tooth paste.. Its a Swiss brand and Cult.. Elmex is an icon.. like Ricola..
Just a thought, have a good break.🏎️📸

yeah mate, you're my idol

Yes, Vegemite Sandwich , well Kim is from Perth !
I'll most likely never fly on any of these airlines that you review, and certainly not in first/business class, but I do enjoy the videos regardless
did no one notice the kids in the background at 00:45 ? i was like oop 😭
In South Africa it'll be a marmite and cheese sandwich, and a brandy and coke
