Shit, you're right. Where did the time go? Life is so different. I was a 17 year old highschool kid when this came out. Now I'm older with a family etc. Still listening to this though. That will never change.
I've seen several friend groups come and go throughout the years, just turned 36. All I have is memories and a handful of friends, now I'm watching everyone start families or relocate and it's almost my time to leave and be a memory when I relocate.. these songs will always remind me of the great times I've had growing up. Don't regret anything. Can't wait to hear this in my 50s. Blessings to the youth, enjoy yourselves.
I have a bunch of memories, but the friends have been long gone. It seems I wasted most of my 30's with the wrong person. You're so lucky u get to leave and relocate. All I've ever wanted to do was leave and travel the world. I know it's not always glamorous I'm sure, but it does sound amazing. Anyway, yea this song as well as many others during this time bring back amazing memories.

Still planning everything, it's not too late, I'll be 37 this year and have a bunch of plans ahead of me, I spent alot of my life with the wrong person, now I just spend all that time on me, and my cat. Lol hope you get a chance to travel and experience all that life has to offer.

Almost in my mid 30’s and with the pressure of time moving on along with life, it’s songs of nostalgia like this one that can only bring a question to mind: “Can we please go back?” If anybody reads this, please enjoy your life as much as you can.
You gotta find a way to move/live on. The past is gone, the present is here... you determine your future. The past is nice, cause it was easy and over. The only easy day was yesterday. Good luck!
Yeah, and never let a thing like money stop you from doing anything, right? Yeah say that in a capitalist country. It’s like I’m that kid from Willy Wonka walking around in a candy store lucky to be able to buy a single pb cup. The money ain’t out there guys. It’s not real. I don’t know what society is I guess an illusion I don’t know where they all come from or where they’re going. Moneys not real guys I know because I’ve looked everywhere for it. Everybody that told us what to do and how to do it is dirt poor too so why are we/ did we take their words?? Gee an awful lot of Ferraris missing from driveways… wtf did they know?? Credit card debt is at an all time high. Or that bs propaganda I’m being funneled to?? Wtf is going on with the world “I wanna go back”
I listened to this song on repeat over and over while I was playing Playstation 2 SOCOM II Navy Seals online. I miss those old simple days back in the 2000s. Great music, skateboarding, videogames, school and friends, world wide internet, all these magical things and technology came about in my generation and it was like Christmas every single day.
I love this common I really do love it I may have to say this if we have time machine and we'll go back and enjoy those times but first things first we got to tell our young selves that everything went bad that happened years later on but we got to do it like back to the Future like leave notes so that open them and warn ourselves at that particular day week month or any time of the moment when it happens we could prevent a lot of things but we got to be careful with the butterfly affect you know how that goes like that line from Men in Black 3 death will always be death which means the people who can be saved and there are people who can't be saved it's a sad truth but it is what it is 1,000,000,000% true.
You gotta find a way to move/live on. The past is gone, the present is here... you determine your future. The past is nice, cause it was easy and over. The only easy day was yesterday. Good luck!
I was 12 when this came out and my memory is 2002, it’s 7am and I’m waiting for the school bus and I’m singing this melody in my head. Great time for alt music
Im still dumbfounded that by pure luck and chance, my dad has a friend who flee the country when there was a dictatorship in place and couldnt return for like 20+ years. They saw each other back in like 2016 or 2017 and his wife came with him, and while all of us were having dinner and chatting, she brings up that her brother is a drummer since she saw I like music to an obscene amount and had a Jimi Hendrix T-Shirt. Lo and behold, the drummer is this band drummer and I was following them back from 2005 or something like that when their songs were appearing in Mx vs Atv, NFS and movies like Grind.
Used to watch this music video on VH1 back in 02' before getting on the bus for freshman year in high school. Haven't seen this music video in like fifteen years. I couldn't find it on RUclips at all. Glad it's back on here. Video made me kinda emotional. The nostalgia hits hard as all these years have passed and we are now in 2024. I felt EVERY word u said!! Music is a huge part of me. It's been kind of hard to move forward in music lately. I find myself listening to music like this. Makes me very emotional. I totally get it. I sure wish I could find a way to dive in to time now and make the most of it. Not saying I don't make great memories now, but there's something missing. People, love, relationships, music.....the world is just so different. I don't find myself adapting anymore. Idk. Anyways, yep great times.

Great song, loved it ever since it first came out in Spring '02. As you can see, it got a lot of airplay on MTV. Brings back bitter-sweet emotions though; around the time it came out I was a freshman in HS, which was when I first really began experiencing depression. Memories of teen angst and loneliness, this was one of the songs which helped me cope. I'm 23 now, and the angst and loneliness is (mostly) behind me, but this song still resonates within me to this day. Awesome.

I'm seein' red
Don't think you'll have to see my face again
Don't have much time for sympathy
Cause it never happened to me
You're feelin' blue now
I think you bit off more than you could chew
And now it's time to make a choice
And all I wanna hear is your
So follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
Follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
And foolish lies
Well can't you see I tried to compromise
Cause what you say ain't always true
And I can see the tears in your eyes
And what you said now
Can't stop the words from running through my head
And what I'd do to get through to you
But you'd only do it again
So follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
Follow the leader down
And swallow your pride and drown
When there's no place left to go
Maybe that's when you will know
Well I can confess, I don't know what to make from all this mess
Don't have much time for sympathy
But it never happened to me, you're feelin' down now
I don't know where I'll be when you come around
And now it's time to make a choice
And all I wanna hear is your voice

2023 who's still listening derp derp miss the 90s derp
Just rediscovered this song after all these years. My mom and my best buds have passed, this song hits a little to hard now.
Awesome.
Anything change since then? Great comment btw
I'm 2 years older than you and I'm shocked this week is the first time I've found this song.
I graduated that year man those years were the best
We all missed something great with this band and now we all miss this band and things will never be as great as they were.

One of the sickest rhythm guitar riffs in this chorus.
