- This is my Custom RC Sherp. I've had it 3.5yrs and this probably tested it to its Limits! Fighting a Traxxas TRX4 and getting stuck in the thickest mud I've ever seen!

See that truck impression in front of the Sherp when it stuck? That was my effort on the Saturday that sunk down to the chassis rails! All the sticks are from my failed attempts to rescue it. Took a father and son to help me, dangle the son over the bog, use the two adults as counterweights and we got it back. The mud had set like concrete by the time I got it home, need to sort that out...

My friends uncle bought a sharp brand new from the dealership and the dealer said if you can get that thing stuck, at the dealership you can have it for free and they got it stuck at their house

....One needs to consider the "King Kong RC - Lurker" Sherp as building kit (although it comes pre built).
Mine was one of 1st in UK and 1st thing I've rebuilt it from scratch with joint sealants, sealed stainless bearings all round and converted to 2-motor only tank drive + Most importantly disabled drag brake and shimmed gears.
No issues since I've built it some 2 years ago.
... LUCKILY just now one of the pinion gears started slipping in that thick mud ... Which saved me from getting stucked in the deep mud pit aswell ... Although this one is probably lighter than Phil's "Custom RC" Sherp 🤔😉😅

I think that Sherp ought to be painted green camo.
It's a shame the design of the sherp doesn't allow tracks to be fitted, it would become a different animal and would float on the soft stuff better. A slightly larger version would be the ideal scale RC/Robot Wars crossover vehicle.
You should do a video on matching a watch to a rc car to show off your collection of watches.
Well price has doubled and I believe I saw wait times of 16-18 weeks when I checked like a week ago.

just looked on that website and they say 1200 euros for the cheapest , 4 gearhead motors in an aluminium tub chassis, is it welded? looks like its bolted from the inside view you gave us

I almost bought the King Kong version, however after reading bad reports after bad reviews and deciding it was completely crap ! I decided to give it a miss. Yours is great, but I do like to build something.
One needs to consider it as building kit (although it comes pre built).

@@jayb.london5464 Exactly, that is my point ! You have basically thrown away most of the running gear, had to seal it and replace everything with stainless bearings (expensive). If the truck was designed to be used in and around water, then this should have been addressed before putting it in production ! I believe it now comes with a wooden rear deck !!! Really.
All good idea but pay 1500 and still have to do that stuff , why take away two motors , more power less wear tear no ? Exocage did some mods on his

Exocage has a couple of these , I think he burnt a couple motors
I am curious as to how this was set up? If you pull the throttle all engine spin. But when you steer one side will start to slow down or completely stop to turn.. i dont understand how thats been achieved
idk i think its a lil top heavy and it needs a bit more power

Phil you probably won’t see this bc I’m a small content creator but could you see if you brushed FTX zorro pinion gear will fit on the Ftx ramraider brushless motor bc that’s what I’m looking to put in my ftx zorro, bc I don’t want to spend about £90 on a motor and esc for it not to work❤

I wonder why there is not a small cheap version of the sherp, should be easy, no steering, no suspension, just left/right forward/back. I could see a cheapo china version in 1/24 or smaller or sth. in between but not that huge expensive thing.

Tomley,im a newbie and i just get my first rc and its a brushed buggy and now i want a touring rc and i want to buy it as a brushless and a kit so can u review the snrc r3-g (grey)?
While I do understand these are custom builds etc what I don’t understand is how the price suddenly jumps to over 600 dollars it’s 4 wheels and motors with some electrical stuff and a body shell and suddenly it costs the same as a Xbox series X ?
Pretty sure the entertainment value of this truck, plus the craftsmanship that went into building it, is exponentially higher than any game console. And if you don't agree with that statement, and you'd rather play xbox, than get outside and run your rig, what are you really even doing, watching this video?
How much is a series X where you are? They're down well below the $499 launch price in the U.S. I've seen them as low as $349 for just the console and controller. The price of everything else has went crazy.
