I knew those were TFK s man!! Besides bark river, these are my favorite knives. I should be getting a T17.4 this year (one of their models) and ilk definitely be sending it to you for another sheath. Im so glad you got to handle such cool knives man. I cant believe alot more people know about them.
Christ, just when i think how much further can this industry go, you hit it out of the park! Besides the gator skin, which is absolutely badass, that mounting plate design is totally ingenious. Where can one buy real gator skin?
Thanks brother! Really appreciate the kind words! As for where to buy gator skin, there are a few sellers on eBay that I use regularly. There are also exotic skins dealers you can find by running a web search, but they generally only offer large gator hides, which are too big for wrapping a sheath. You want something like 30"-60" overall length of the animal for the skin to be pliable enough to take the contours of the hard sheath beneath it. Natural hide seems to be much stiffer than barrel dyed, so be aware of that if you decide to try it!
