Invention is insanely complicated until you understand it, and then you realize its actually super simple except for the math, which of course the math geniuses have already done and created wiki pages and calculators to do all the math for you so it becomes simple again and the hard part is simply browsing the wiki to figure out what perks you want and what components can give those perks at an acceptable cost/risk ratio.
I just wish that movement abilities, especially dive, were consistent. Sometimes it just completely drops the input. Other times it takes an extra tick or two before it actually goes off
certain task set items, a few notable ones for me are: Underworld Grimoire 4 makes farming bones for prayer so op that it rendered Death Note useless in comparison. Karamja Gloves, Morytania Legs and Varrock Armour at 3 because that's where their best benefits are Wilderness Sword 4, or 3; specially once you unlock the wilderness flash event teleport
most important thing in this game is quest REWARDS! do the quest's for infernal puzzle box. you need that more then any of these items homie is talking about. why? because your adrenaline wont go down out of combat. and you unlock DIVE which is the best thing ever.
Nice Video! A guide that I'd find helpful would be a slow and detailed guide, on what rotations to use when it comes to Abilities. I've spent alot of time reading them, trying to figure it out, but beside Necro, I can't seem to get the hang of it. Like in this Video when fighting Kerapac, you pretty much never stop doing high damage, not one tick. How is it done?
If they had separate cooldowns then Divert would be so much more in value. Greater Chain makes fighting mobs/multiple enemies with Magic an absolute breeze. Divert is a niche upgrade.
@@yajyu81019 @spartypants4311 This makes it crystal clear! Sharing cd forces Divert to become a very niche ability.. while greater chain is bread’n’butter for mage! Thanks both of u ☺
Thx for the vid, new player here so a lot of it is still greek to me lol but I found new goals nd what to look for. Ive gamed for years and this game reminds me a little of UO (my first game) and loving it so far.
other very high value unlocks for account progressions and bossing/pvm in general would be priff: very good for many different skills as well as giving access to combination potions, a source of afk agility exp, and hourly skilling boosts, unlocked via quests ancient magics: (as well as their upgrades such as animate dead) from questing as well, but provides much higher ease of use to magic, as well as unlocking a lot of afk boss methods dungeoneering unlocks for new/returning players: bone crusher, charming imp, gem back, prayer restoring necklaces, all great for afking any form of combat as well as helping out with quality of life like collecting charms automatically or providing more storage space for gems (thinking gem mining for mining/crafting exp or gems from slayer creatures) the abyss: great combat training as well as good gp/h (ashes sell for 1k each at the time of comment) as well as amazing runecrafting exp and money making from magical threads, all from a 5 minute miniquest
Theory: Just wait until rs3 introduces venom or maybe 'applied corruption' when new boss comes out this year in a glove slot. Cinderbanes will become outclassed or a switch.
I haven't read comments maybe some people wrote this, but why player amount jumped, because there was a huge amount of bots/alts created for wrapping paper/black santa party hat farming. For example sitting in f2p world and see like 11 account with same name, but the number in end changes 01,02,03 ....
Greater bone shield is overkill most of the time and it is a lot cheaper to use the lesser version especially on an iron (the reason for the increased player count)
Would you say that Amascut is better than Wen for AOE slayer or bosses that do not require top peak damage? mostly bc wen is SO easy to farm pages for with afk 0 mech ag
The amascut book is useless really. Wen will serve you better at mobs for slayer but for bossing you want Jas or Ful. I typically use Ful just because the pages are less than 10k each and the extra damage is nice.
Just thought Id clarify something, once you have created the tier 90 necromancer gear once, you then can buy it on the G.E. For example when you’re grinding levels for invention you can buy the gear, augment it, level to 10, then disassemble it for exp. As necromancy being such a strong combat style to be able to use it at tier 90 and disassemble it with ease is a massive unlock. Good luck out there guys
You can do Zuk. There are bunch of guides, even good low effort ones. I was scared of Zuk too & now I can do it effortless. Also only died once while doing it the first time!
Keep trying!! I got my fire cape years ago but I failed soooo many times. Then the kiln came out and it was easier. I’ve been trying for Zuk cape for a good year and I could make it to Zuk easy but could never beat him.. now I’ve gotten 3/4 in the last week and a half.
Just stay it it. Kiln you can afk now probably as all the creatures are so weak. Zuk is more about where you stand but there are some damage checks. Hard mode is a big step up. It took me about 3 hours to get a kill in hard mode.
I can’t mentally do these types of boss fights. I can do lower end types bosses like GWD 1, QBD and such, but ones like Solak, Zuk, Zamorak, Kerapac and such I just can’t mentally do. One of the reasons I always dread quests that have a boss fight at the end. I stopped the Succession quest for the Ring of Vigor for almost 6 months because I kept dying at the egg part.
Great videos, "IMPORTANT PLEASE READ" I deeply appreciate the effort and thought put into yoooour videos "however" i know i can't be the only one to notice. Please, please, pleeease turn down the sensetivity on your microphone or move it a but further from yoour mouth. No matter how low i make the volume i can hear every sound form the inside of your mouth and i want to hear what you have to say but i also dont want to lose my appitite =/. Thanks for listening to my ted talk...
I need combat explained so bad haha. I just returned to RS3 love the content the graphics etc, but as an OSR player I am so lost with what to do with combat how to train, my abilities?? Uggh… great video nonetheless 😄🫡
There is a button on the ability bar where it should have an auto-set up bar. Make your combat style revolution in your settings (most abilities will just unlock as you level up, others are locked behind expensive books), otherwise kind of the same, click on the monster, level up, buy new gear

Thank you for the video! I last played whenever the second God of War dungeon with Greg dropped, and there is so so so so so much to catch up on
I didn't think you could use necro gear unless you crafted it first.
You are correct sir
@MibuInMalibu yes, unless you get 1st necro gear
Yes you have to craft it first to use it, except for the t95 necro gear, but you can still buy and sell the gear.
First Necromancer gear can be used without crafting the others
@@healthygrowth7760 yeah I know, that’s why I bought mine after realizing you can’t buy higher tiered Deathwarden/deathdealer ahaha

Top tier!! Any ideas why Greater Chain Ability Codex is so much more expensive than Divert, when it looks like they have the exact same drop rate?
because everyone got resonance and it do the same thing
unless you want adrenaline instead of healing
also both ability did share a cooldown

You have to make the t90 necro stuff?
Yes.
Very good video.
I know archeology is terrible value for time, but it should have at-least been mentioned; especially since late game relics are pretty much essential.
I will never have any of the Zuk capes. That type of PVM and other end game PVM is something I just can’t do Along with the Fight Kiln.
I thought the same, but I managed to do it after a few hours of practice. Fight Kiln is very fun for learning PvM. I find it easier than other bosses.
