Beautiful. The Bonneville had such a lean and relaxed style in all of its models throughout its history. I’m sure in another 10 days the owner will have learnt more about the starting procedure for his beautiful new bike.
Nice to see a Bonneville of that era in such a good condition. Must be a passionate owner, because Triumphs of the late 70s had not the best reputation. My brother had one, which he traded for his XS650 and instantly regretted.
Did your brother really regret it?😂 I heard before, according to it, that is Triumph's quality problems were due to the lack of motivation among the factory workers. The individual parts of the bike are good, so if you carefully assemble it again, it will be a good product.
@King07T Well, Triumphs of that time had many quality issues. Poor built quality of course, but also poor parts quality. I remember die-cast motor parts full of shrink holes. And don't mention Lucas electric parts 🤪. Actually I like Triumph, but I would always prefer older models, let's say pre-72/73.
@@Milo_Minderbinder I learned a lot from your comment. I also love Triumphs from the 60s. But after learning about the background of the late 70s, I learned that the workers at that time were desperate to make Triumphs. I love this "Meriden model" with that background in mind.
@@hashiba_hashiba_hashiba Indeed, Britains industry was totaly desolated because of strikes and layoffs during that period. Even Triumphs management gave up and the factory was operated by a worker's cooperative. There was virtually no quality control these times. Britains ecomomy started recovery when Margaret Thatcher took over in 1979. Unfortunatelly too late for Triumph.

It's Christmas before time for this new happy owner !😉
Thank you so much! I'm happy to see that he is happy🥰
