I am interested in how this Tamron resolves 40 mpx in still images. Especially on the sides of the picture. I have Fujinon 55-200 and am looking for a better alternative for my X-H2 camera.
For longer reach I would say the xf 70-300mm is a good choice. However I love the tamron because it can focus super close when I need it. For sharpness it is on par with the xf 16-55mm

I think for video it's a very good lens, however you have to keep in mind that the lens is not parfocal, so when you zoom in or out the focus will change and you have to refocus. It is a very good video lens as long as you don't zoom in or out during filming. Hope this helps!
