- Rare Vinyl Collection 003:
Artist: Anna Nalick
Track: Breathe (2AM) (Blake Jarrell Remix)
Released: 2007
It's 2004 when Anna Nalick releases her debut-single Breathe (2AM) followed by her first album Wreck Of The Day. Both do well in The States, but across the ocean, no one has heard of this new American singer-songwriter yet. Things changes when Breathe appears in both TV-series Six Feet Under and Grey's Anatomy in 2006. This new attention to the song might be the inspiration behind the Blake Jarrell Remix, which appears early 2007.
The remix is not officially released but finds it's way to DJ's and trancefans nonetheless. Not in the last place because Armin Van Buuren airs the remix several times on his A State Of Trance (ASOT) radioshow.
A few months after the airplay by Armin, the remix by American DJ Blake Jarrell becomes available as a bootleg whitelabel vinyl. The track never appears on an Anna Nalick-release, or on any official recording for that matter. This makes the bootleg vinyl a sought-after item for fans paying a good dollar for it.
The remix blends well with the vocals of Anna, makes it suitable for dancefloors, but is still somewhat relaxing. Even a full recording is hard to find, so that's why I added it to this collection. For fans to enjoy it again, and for the ones who didn't know it until now to discover this wonderful tune.

I heard in 2008 in an ASOT episode and still one of my fave trance songs ever made... The original song is also nice, I love the long lyrics and its very rare in trance songs, thats why I'm so happy that this remix exists. Blake Jarrell made an awesome job here but from a bad song you can not do a good rework.
This used to be my jam back in 2010, 10 years on after having forgotten it the feelings are indescribable to have found it again. I feel like I'm sitting with my younger self, and a heart so full of hope, for everything in this world. Love the long intro, wish this song would last forever. Just like our dreams.
same here
I have this on vinyl. I bought it in 2007 as a white label. There is literally no label on the record.
I first discovered this remix around 07-08. My friend gave it to me on a mix CD of Blake Jarrell remixes. I've come back to it many times over the years and it is timeless.
Iv just heard it now and absolutely love it. Miss tunes like these
Asot 268! This got me into trance ever since.
This tune is INSANE.... I have no words..... I hope heaven sounds like this and if not I dont want to go to heaven but where this music plays non stop
Era certa de tocar nos eventos que trabalhava de DJ ! 👏👏👏👏👏
Maybe the best jam ever for a late night
An excellent remix proven over the years. Good duration, as it should be in a normal trance. Can be placed on the shelf next to the legendary Gabriel & Dresden remixes.
Beautiful song. Trance forever !!
Old memories on my way to the lab. Beautiful
Heard it indeed when Armin dropped it at A State of Trance back then. Not sure at which episode it was.
What a tune
Was looking for this song so many years. It´s amazing to finally hear it!
Fantastisch
Brilliant. I love this track. The longer the better. Just has that darkness I love.

Love this! The beat is just rockin' Baybee... Let's Dance!!! PEACE...:)
This song is still one of my all time favorite tracks. It never gets old to me

NO PARO DE MOVERME,ME ENCANTAAAAA....!!!
Been looking for this song for years, thanks for the EP :)
I adore this song but for the love of God why do people keep uploading MONO???
Re do this song turn the phaser down
This is how the recording is done, straight from vinyl, no additional FX added.
Not doggin your song man, what u do is cool, I'm just giving feedback that that looooonnnggg repetivive intro is a bit much
It's not my song, but a rare recording from the original vinyl bootleg that was released in 2007. Produced by Blake Jarrell, an American electronic music producer.

I like the long intro, it's rewarding to let things slowly progressive into something amazing
@@exilius333 I agree I love the long intro too
Haha are you trying to school the great Blake Jarrell on this timeless classic?
Yeah...I got about two minutes in...to listening to the exact same drum beat and weird strum sound over and over and over.. and thought nope.
Personally I'm a big fan of long builds, and think this is much better than 16 beats > drop > 32 beats > another drop > finish generic template EDM. Luckily nobody forces you to listen the whole thing if you don't want to ;-)...
@@mykynesmusicofficial he's probably one of those people that only listen to 2-3 minute radio mixes 😂 some guys can't appreciate long build ups
This is how most EDM will sound. Long intro and outro which allows the music to be mixed ie only the DJ will hear these extended beat phrases for the most part in their headphones. Just is what it is...
Then you've missed the magic of the song. Instead of commenting twice on it, you could have listened to the whole thing and appreciate what it is.
Here we go again. Listen to your pop music.
People like you destroyed electronic music.
this isn’t in sync, at all, with the lyrics. infuriating
Yes it is.
