I made this without the condensed milk and it came out perfect. Less sugar is always good. I did add a little of the coconut shaves for texture and that was genius!!! Txs for the recipe.
This is very much like Haitian coconut fudge, except we also add cinnamon sticks & star anise to boil with the milk. Sometimes we may also add lime zest. Both versions are delicious!
hey!!! thanks a lot for the recipe!!! :) I tried it btw this is my first time making coconut fudge and mines came out absolutely perfect thanks a lot again 😘 continue posting great recipes❤❤
This recipe is amazing! I just made it yesterday and it turned out just like the fudge I had in Trinidad! Thank you for sharing it. I live in Chicago and sadly there is very little of anything Trini here, which is why your youtube channel is so valuable, as we can make much of what we miss. My (Trini) mother was quite impressed with my fudge :D I am American-born but trying to learn to cook more and more in the Trinbago tradition, so you being such a good (young) cook is awesome and encouraging to me! I look forward to learning/trying all of your recipes :) Thanks again! I'm off to have another piece of fudge for breakfast...:D
I so so love anything coconut!! You are an evil angel [ lol ] with your beautiful temptations ...to die for. Thanks for all the goodies and may you be inspired to keep our taste buds dancing with joy 🌷🌷🌷🌷
My aunt does her fudge with carnation milk and no butter. I do mine with condensed milk and I add the vanilla and my other flavored extract towards the end when it's done. I don't use butter and it comes out just as good. Never had to put it in the fridge to cool overnight either. I'm going to try it with the butter to see.
