- Israel's military on Wednesday said it had achieved full 'operational control' of the so-called Philadelphi Corridor along Gaza's border with Egypt. Israel Defense Forces troops are currently engaged in a military offensive in the nearby southern Gaza city of Rafah. Israel says that numerous smuggling tunnels belonging to Hamas run beneath the corridor. The narrow corridor is part of a demilitarized zone along Israel's border with Egypt - established following the 1979 peace treaty between the two countries - with both sides only allowed to station a small number of troops and guards there. In 2005, Israel withdrew its troops from the Gaza Strip, including the corridor. Egypt warned earlier in the conflict that an Israeli "occupation" of the corridor would breach the bilateral treaty's terms.
Meanwhile, Israel's military says it wants to dismantle what it calls the last Hamas brigade in Rafah. But many experts warn this war may never end, as Hamas will continue to draw new recruits. Could this be an endless war?

It's much easier for China to hold impartial views when there is no conflict of interest.
Throughout its history, China has much experience of being subject to the rule of other powerful race. In 1200, the Mongols ruled China, but only for less than 100 years because they've been highly opppressive to the Chinese, and so their regime could only be shortlived.
In 1650, the Manchurians conquered China and successfully ruled for 300 years as Qing Dynasty till early twentieth century, mainly because they'd engaged the Chinese also in the government, and Chinese civilians could still make a living under their rule, so Chinese revolts against the Machurians finally died down after 50 years, when Taiwan was also annexed back to China.
The way Israel treats Palestinians under such oppression and apartheid is not sustainable. Either they engage and embrace the Palestinians under a One State solution, or have a Two state solution to let Palestinians live by themselves in their piece of land in order to have sustained peace.

It’s been established and agreed with by Egypt that tunnels are beneath the buffer zone, however the Egyptian government says it has blocked off access through these tunnels. 80 is a big number that I did not see associated with this before your post. I couldn’t say if there are 2 tunnels or 1,000,000, tunnels indicating they are plural. More than one.

The Israeli Offensive Forces have taken control of this border between Egypt and Gaza not to ensure Hamas doesn’t get weapons imported but either to push Palestinians into Egypt and deny them entry back into Israel or to murder every single soul without Egypt being able to witness the genocide from their border positions.

That corridor should have been the first thing they took, not the last. Weapons were probably flowing through there throughout the war and replenishing Hamas munitions. It's 101 to cut off your enemy's supply lines as soon as you can. That's also probably why UNRWA and the rest were screaming so loudly about Rafah in particular. By leaving it for last, they've only drawn out the war by many months.
