Very nice. What did you use to neatly highlight/mark your edges?

    • @PDerrickSeagraves
      @PDerrickSeagraves  8 лет назад

Just a highlighter and a price of paper behind the page. The paper behind keeps the markings consistently spaced and doesn't allow more than one page to get marked

You would love the old Marked Reference Bible by zondervan, its almost just like this system.

so as a apostolic why do you believe God is one being and one person rather than God is one being and Three persons.

if im correct they dont believe in the Trinity. They believe that God is a singular being and that He manifests Himself as either Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

      +Avery Suarez (Edited for clarity)
It's hard to say that someone doesn't believe in the trinity, because in our culture it's so poorly defined and understood.
I will say that I can't find three people making up a god in the Bible. It's just not there.
I'll also say also, like many ardent trinitarians have, there is only baptism in Jesus' name in the Bible.
But that may be the difference right there; I'm all about the Bible.

      +P. Derrick Seagraves
To add: I do definitely believe that God is the Father of everything, including Jesus who brought salvation through sacrifice and resurrection, and after poured out the "comforter" called the Holy Ghost in the Acts chapter 2 experience.
      Just to be clear.

      P. Derrick Seagraves John 17:1-5 "1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." How could The Son and the Father be the same person if the Son was WITH the father before the world was. Also notice all the 'you's used. So is the Son just talking to himself?

BPM TV you’re confused. Jesus was flesh God needed a pure sacrifice. So the temple of the perfect man had to come. The only one fit to house God which in true form is SPIRIT. you have read all of those words in the Bible but you have not understood. When you die you will stand before God and his name is Jesus. There will be no one with him beside him or before/after.

I love this, but Modalism is damnable heresy!

    • @PDerrickSeagraves
      @PDerrickSeagraves  8 лет назад +1

I agree! Modalism (the idea that God stopped being the creator to be Jesus, and then stopped being Jesus to be the Holy Ghost) is a lie.
Baptism in Jesus' name is all in the Bible, though.
In fact, no Apostle ever baptized any other way. Period. That's what real Bible study and theme-ing like this shows you! Isn't that cool?

      P. Derrick Seagraves My apologies, Pastor. I was under the impression that a oneness Pentecostal denied the Trinity. Forgive me.

There is no scriptures that shows that the Apostles Baptized in Jesus name only. In fact some apostles did not baptize at all.

    oneness of God?...
Not that he was God already
    Luke 2:41-52
(The Boy Jesus) at the Temple then you have John .
IS Jesus LITERALLY GOD? What does the bible say? Stephen saw Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. Jesus IS LORD. God MANIFESTED his spirit into Christ when he walked the earth, which means to show "qualities of" The bible said God MANIFESTED IN HIS SON. This was "spiritually" not literally. Jesus is Lord... and there is 1 God. Yahweh God and Lord Yeshua-Jesus.
    John 14:28
"The Father is greater than I."- Jesus!
    👆🏻
This is a strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God.
    Matthew 6:9
Our Father, which art in Heaven.
    👆🏻
Jesus was on earth at this time he prayed this!
    Matthew 27:46
My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?
    👆🏻
Inconceivable if he is God the Creator!
    Matthew 24:36
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only.
    👆🏻
Here Jesus makes a distinction between what he knows and what the Father knows!
    John 5:26
For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.
    👆🏻
Jesus received his life from God. God received his life from no one. He is eternally self-existent!
    John 5:30
By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me.
Jesus says, “by myself, I can do nothing.”
    👆🏻
This indicates that Jesus is relying upon his own relationship with God. He is not trying to “please myself” but rather is seeking to “please the one who sent me.”
    John 5:19
The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also.
    👆🏻
Jesus declares that he is following a pattern laid down by God. He is expressing obedience to God!
    Mark 10:18
Why do you call me good? No one is good, except God alone.
    👆🏻
Here Jesus emphatically makes a distinction between himself and God!
    John 17:21-23
. . .that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. . ..that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me.
    👆🏻
In this prayer Jesus defines the term “to be one.” It is clearly accomplished through the relationship of two autonomous beings. Christian believers are to model their relationship (to become one) after the relationship of God and Christ (as God and Christ are one). Notice that “to be one” does not mean to be “one and the same.”
    Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.
    👆🏻
Jesus is the exact representation of his being. I send my representative to Congress. He is not me, myself. He is my representative!
James 1:13: When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt.
    👆🏻
Jesus was tempted in every way, but God cannot be tempted. This is why Jesus said, “don’t call me good. Only God is Good"
    Hebrews 5:7-9
During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
    👆🏻
Jesus had to walk a course of faith and obedience in order to achieve perfection. By achieving perfection, Jesus “became” the source of eternal salvation
God did not lie when he said he sent his son. God sent his firstborn creation, that's why he said he loved the whole world so much, he gave his "only begotten son" He didn't say I love the world so much I am going to send myself in the form of a man in the flesh! 😂 God cannot lie. He sent "HIS SON" Who he "fathered" by creating him.
