Tiffany Stephenson I know you’re asking her, but I absolutely LOVE the Wayfinding Bible! I believe it cost $25. That’s the paperback version. It’s so colorful and has so many useful “extra” information and makes reading the Bible so easy and enjoyable. I also really like the Women of Faith Bible. There’s a regular one and I believe a one for women of color. I have both. I actually have a lot of Bibles. 😅
I read ESV or Amplified version, as far as publishers it's what ever style you like. The important thing is to stay in the Word of God and develop your relationship with Him. Try youversion app there are 50 translation in English alone to help with your study. You can also Google most accurate Bible translation to see which most closely follow the original languages word for word.
Thank you for sharing this. A lot of christians are struggling with reading & studying the Bible. I believe asking for the Holy Spirit to guide us during reading and ask Him questions will help too because withou Him we cannot really understand. Couldn’t have came at a better time! I was asking God to put a desire to read the word in me bc although I do read sometimes I feel it’s out of religiosity and not because I yearn to. Meekness in the Bible actually means: A person is meek when he/she has a tremendous amount of power but chooses NOT to use that power to get his/her way. I studied that for years and it was only when I looked at the meaning of the ORIGINAL wording did I understand it.

I became a Christian in the end of 2016 and I read some of the Gospels and parts of Revelation and the letters, but the enemy always found ways to distract me and make that kind of boring for me. However, last week, I took my New Testament Bible Journal again to give it a try and I almost read through the whole thing in under a week 😊 I'm not an artist and like to take notes rather than painting over the Word. I ordered an English journaling Bible yesterday (I'm German) and can't wait to study through the Old Testament and the New Testament more deeply and get to know God!
I love this.. Jesus found and saved me a few years ago and i avoided the Bible for quite awhile because i thought i wouldn't understand it.... i also lost my ability understand things that I read. I can read but nothing sinks in... i prayed about it a lot. We can't live on bread alone. I suddenly realized that I can listen to it being read to be on RUclips videos while i follow along and now i can't seem to get enough. I've been using a KJV my grandmother gave me when i was young and i mark off certain verses and highlight others but i want a notekeeping bible so bad... your bible is so loved. A loved Bible is very beautiful. Thank you for posting this. I was really just searching for a recommendation for a good note taking bible but i see now its not about that.. ill look on Amazon for one with good reviews about if it holds up well being written in and good margin space and the rest is up to me to love it too. I was just gifted a new, pretty, hardcover journaling bible for my birthday because my other one was a paperback and was getting kinda destroyed. And so now I'm just kinda scared about writing in it and stuff cuz I don't wanna mess itor write something wrong/untrue. Hello! I know I'm not who you're seeking advice from, but this used to be (and still is) my problem. But, I've found that seeking God's guidance in His word will help. I fell in love with God and began to truly take Him seriously when I was 15 (in other words, two years ago!). I wanted to know Him more, but I didn't know where to start so, I just opened my bible and listened for His voice. It works every time, so just open it, listen, THEN read. I hope this helped just a little! God bless you!
First, pray before you read. Ask God to help you focus and to highlight what He wants you to get out of that session that day. I like to use bible reading plans and just study what is on the schedule for that day, but sometimes things come up in life and I get to googling to see what the Bible says about it and I end up studying that for days or more. Don’t get hung up on reading it straight through like a book. Think of it as your conversation with God for that day
I appreciate your transparency. Start with something you are going through now. For example, if you are dealing with anger, or unforgiveness etc. Start there! Whatever you do understand it is necessary to read your Word to experience victory but don’t get caught on how much you read as opposed to the quality of what you are reading. Even if you take a scripture a day and meditate on it ALL day it is better than reading four chapters straight and you don’t remember what you read. Be encouraged you got this;)
Same..I use Read Scripture. Amazing app! There's also a RUclips channel called The Bible Project. Pretty sure you'll find it very helpful in understanding the Bible coz I did

girl I love your bible and how u decorated it very pretty I love highlighters too but I can't find any good highlighters for my bible because we don't have good ones around here they always like to seep through pages
i just order jell highlighters off amazon or Christian book store. Those won't Bleed through your Bible, and if you want good pens Micron pens are good for Bible studying and they won't bleed through your Bible either. But their expensive
