- Ranking the Most FUN Subclass in Baldur's Gate 3 on a tier list. Some classes are just straight up more fun to play than others, and I have tried them all out, so I want to share my experience with what I think is the most fun subclass in BG3. This is after talking to hundreds of people that play Balder's gate and getting my opinions from them as well as just testing them all out and seeing what the most fun subclass is in the game. Some classes are easier to play, whereas others can pull off 200 IQ fun combinations that make the game a blast to play. This is my opinion but I am happy to hear your thoughts in the comments on what subclass you think is the most fun!

Spore Druid represent! So much goofy stuff you can get up to if you wanna play a really gishy spellblade with extra on-hit damage while keeping the benefits of a full caster that's also really tanky and has minions.
Spore druid happens to be one of the most underrated classes for the reasons you mention! Temporary health, zombies, extra necro damage on weapon attacks. Spells. It does it all!
Doing this in my current run with a friend! I’m a Githyanki and we stole Voss’ sword, so I only get one attack per turn but when I have symbiotic entity on it deals 2d6 slashing + 1d6 psychic + 1d6 necrotic damage, then thanks to animate dead and reanimating spores I get to make a bow shot from a skeleton and four+ fungal zombie punches so it don’t even feel like I’m missing out on anything by not having extra attack

If only Eldritch smite was in the game

If you’re on console hopefully after patch 7 and the mod support if you’re in pc they got a nice mod that adds some eldritch invocations they got graps of hadar eldritch spear and smite, lance of lethargy (can’t remember if it is on the vanilla game)
@@Awzn123 nothing from tashas or xanathar is explicitly in the game. The game runs mostly off of 2014 PHB rules. However Larian has taken some liberty of pulling elements from newer publications and merging them with existing abilities. Most notably they merged the hex warrior ability from hexblade and just made it part of pact of the blade in BG3.

2 paladin / 10 sword bard is my favorite build too. I sometimes respec everyone that way for the Ketheric/Apostle fight, just for the fun of ending the fight before they even get a turn.
Oh it’s one of my favorite builds, funny how it’s a better paladin then level 12 paladin 😂 probably the best synergy in the entire game. And you can get conjure elemental and cone of cold. Water elemental to set up vulnerability to cold damage and you’re a beefy caster. So good!
Once you have swords bard 6 you have to try to make an unfun character but my swords bardadin was .....chefs kiss.
Collage of Lore is a lot of fun for me. You become proficient in many things and can use the spellbook early, while other bards can access this feature from level 10 onwards. You play a great support role and are also an expert in everything non-combat "jack of all trades"

@@weyncivrilli9780 oh yeah they’re a great jack of all trades! If the sword bard didn’t exist they would be in the S tier but I think A tier is pretty solid for them. I love getting hunger of hadar or spirit guardians with their magical secrets
@@JasonDunnaYeah man, magical secrets are very underrated. Support spells are very deadly and you can have many damage-oriented spells.

It makes me sad the the trickery domain doesn't get much love and I get it. The way Baldur's Gate 3 is build you come across conflicts that are either solved by fighting (mostly) or through dialog but never by sneaking and if it is solveable that way you miss out on exp. It doesn't feel rewarding and pass without trace (if used at all) just really helps to make an encounter easier. That being said in a coop run I think the crowd control stuff the Trickery Domain give the other players advanteges in fight that let them shine more. The group doesn't get more effective overall though. To have fun as a trickery domain cleric you have to have fun supporting your team and let them shine.
Yeah you said it very well. The trickery domain sets up stealth for others but yea you end up missing XP for solving the issues that way making it a bit weaker by comparison. Thankfully tempest and light cleric are incredible
@@SlayXemnas agreed trickery domain highly underrated I usually save all my mirror images scrolls for shadowheart to cast after bless. The reason people rate this class so pporly is they disregard the AI behavior. It mainly attacks the lowest ac player especially if its by a wide margin. I VERY rarely have anyone attack my casters concentrating on haste or stoneyskin because they are attacking the barbarian with 150 hps and 15 ac

Way of The Open Hand Monk is my favorite class in the game. My first full playthrough was as a good Dark Urge, and fighting as him was so fun, just punching everyone for major damage. For anyone who wants to try it, go Wood Elf of Half-Wood Elf for the extra movement and take 3 levels in the Thief subclass of Rogue for your last level ups.
Open hand 9 / rogue thief 3 is one of the best builds in the game, absolutely insane damage. I just posted a build guide for a spore druid / open hand and it can do 100+ damage on a bonus action, its absolutely crazy what its capable of!
About Trickery domain:
It's fun, gives user really op domain spells that are limited by concentrations.
Yeah and the cleric wants to concentrate on spirit guardians usually so it makes it tough
I have this white draconic scorcerer build where i cast armor of agathys beofre battle, have my cleric cast create water on enemire, then have my sorcerer provoke opportunity attacks.
Theres an abjuration wizard build that does that! I love create water + cone of cold. Even better when you have a sorcerer and sword bard dishing it out
especially Wild magic with mods, it is PURE CHAOS
I love turning the team into cats and dogs hahaha. I’ll have to look into some mods!

10 swords bard/2fighter with resonance stone and shadow blade is super fun, also lore bard with a magic missile build is also fun. That’s what I’m doing for my solo honor run atm.

I'm playing Swords Bard with my Tav in honour playthrough with 6 Bard + 4 Rogue + 2 Fighter, it's a multiclass that synergises beautifully. A bard can be taken in so many directions.
Extra bonus action and action surge with flourishes is crazy burst damage! That is the beauty of the bard yea, it can be taken so many directions and they are all strong!

I’m currently playing a Wild Magic Barbarian Resist Durge, and I have to say, I have actually been enjoying it. It took me a little bit to get into it, but I have come to enjoy it so far. Its abilities like Magical Boon and Magic Resistance have actually come in handy with some skill checks and having some magical support for the casters in my part by being able to restore a spell slot has been pretty nice as well.
Wild magic barbarian and sorcerer are so much fun hahaha I love them

Crit Fishing doesn’t seem to have much value when conditions like Sleep and Hold Person guarantee you’ll land one in melee. Maybe if you’re playing a ranged character I could I understand.

Battle master and eldritch knight are two very distinct, fun subclasses that offer more than the champion does, and they can also be decked out in crit fishing gear
Gloomstalker is easy S tier for me. I solo killed the spider matriarch with my gloomstalker at level 3 and that entire cave. Also possible with a rogue assassin, but gloomstalker felt like I could hide a bit more.
That extra attack in turn 1 is so underrated. It’s a very powerful class!
OOooo yes!! I''ve been so excited for this. The fun-factor for any build is what *really* makes it worth to play! Dannggg Barbarian is in general so high.
Sword's bard still one of my favourite classes! Of course Wild Mage, and Tempest Cleric. I love Light Domain more, but i can't just ignore tempest clerics. I adore pretty much every wizard class, so I'm incredibly biased. (All would be S Tier for me 😅)
Despise nature domain cleric. It's too much like a druid. I hate druids. It's just me personally, my friend's favourite class of all time is Druid, so i can see *why* ya like it. Just i dont 😔 (Unless they're spore/necromancer because WIZARD!)
There's somehting about Battle Master that makes me NEED to dual class with it. I *really* like the Champion! It's really nice for crit fishing, i was able to crit on like, a 14. Dude, it was just so satisfying! And one time I played as a champion/sword's bard and that was mowing down enemies like grass.

Im a meat head so the barbarian is fun, the dialogue options are hilarious but dang the wild magic is so fun. Raging and turning everyone into cats is 10/10 hilarity
Sword bard is so great agreed! Im slightly preferring tempest cleric because they can add a level of wizard and get chain lightning for big boom 160 damage
Nature cleric is oddly the best class from levels 1-3 but then it falls off the face of the planet hard, because druids are just better. But yes spore druid 6 / necro wizard 6 is so crazy good!
Hahaha right yeah quickened spell sorcerer can also hit for 100 that's so true. I just posted a spore druid / monk build and it has 104 damage on its bonus action, even further with the resonance stone doubling psychic damage, absolutely nuts!!
@@JasonDunna I can see why peeople like Babarian! I quite like it myself, but I'm much more of a wizard guy. Wizards are my favourite class of all time, Sorcerer's right behind them. Wild Magic feels like the most based class possible.

Ooo I like it!! Spore Druid is one of my favorite builds. The temporary health and extra necrotic damage are awesome, but once you get the armor of the sporekeeper it gets crazy. The haste spores are so useful !

i know you basically do vanilla stuff. But could you make a tier list on the 5E spells mod? Its basically an essential mod for all pc players. I'm positive just about everyone uses it. Its easy to install and adds a bunch of variety.
I will get to that closer to patch 7 release because I have a lot of console viewers! I am researching and planning it now though

How DARE wildheart be a teir and not s! It let's you take half damage from ALL sources except psychic which you can negate by being gith and using that legendary gith sword from voss! That means half of fireball!!!! I've never even been knocked out using a wildheart barb!!!!
Wildheart is amazing! A tier is still good! Just the wild magic barbarian is hilarious what can happen so I didn’t want to put all the barbarians in S tier haha. Have to balance the list a bit

I usually go with the increased armor class! But depends on what weapon you’re using

Solid mix! Riposte is so good
Champion is great if you're too lazy to set up guaranteed crits.
It’s just a 5% increase though, rather take the battle master and get riposte which can crit

i dont understand OH monk S tier. i know it's strong, but, like you said, we are evaluating fun, not power. OH monk (in my opinion) is the most boring of the three subclass. with the shadow subclass you can teleporth and have various interaction with darkness, with the w4e you have variety with the spell that it has. OH monk is mostly just buffing your punches with extra damage.
ps. i know the concept of FUN is subjective and i understand if people call fun doing a lot of damage
If the 4 element monk had more Ki points or a better way to regenerate them it would be better, shadow monk is a lot of fun synergy wise. I put OH monk in S because hitting 100+ damage on a bonus action is pretty wild, but I love jumping around delivering one punch man quality attacks. If I didn't put it S tier I know I would have comments being upset about that too haha
@@degli1977because its the second least played class and players rarely even see the fun effects they can dish out with all the broken unarmed attack items that larian flooded the game with. Monk is fun because of the item synergies you cam build not mecessarily the class itself
