DWTD is a hard song with high notes and hard choreography, so basically it's a really hard song to perform within a short training time. There's a lot of thing to prepared / to mastered this song. Big respect for BLACKPINK. What makes it really difficult is, the fact that Blackpink itself has unique voices and gestures when they do the dances, the way they perform with details, and keeping their body lines balanced is very difficult things to do. Every time I watched BP stages or their dance practice, I realize how unique they are. It's very risky to choose Blackpink songs. Anyway, good luck girls!
The contestants dancing is actually good. What makes the perf lackluster is their vocals. They were actually singing the song in a manner typical to a kpop gg where the voices are "unified" (i think you understand what mean). Just like you said, the songs carries a lot of bp members' uniqueness. I also thought that way before but after this perf I realized that the song actually demanded it to be that way. "Emotion", that is the key. Even if they sing it in their own way, they could have at least pulled it off very well if they had the right feeling. Unfortunately, this need experience which they lack for obvious reason.
Hanbyul left YG because she want to debut already but YG is right she's not ready yet to debut under there label she's unstable interms of live performance that's the most no no to YG artist performing live is there forte!

Now I adore blackpink more than ever. They performed this song on Coachella professionally and effortlessly. The Pinkhaired girl did the best among the girls. Hanbyul looks depressing during this performance while the two girls looked very nervous which probably affected their performance.

I’m not a professional at preforming so don’t get me wrong, but I feel like they are more focused on getting the steps and movements perfect than the stage presence. Like you need to have good facial expressions and confidence/stage presence to make a stage look interesting and good. Respect to Blackpink for making the stages look so good, that’s how good training pays off. (No hate to the girls btw, I bet they would do amazing in future !)
Saw “don’t know what to do,” and clicked but as always unless the artist changes the song to match their vocals the songs are just lackluster. This is why YG artist are so unique their songs are made to fit each member to showcase that their not just a group but individual artist. I have yet to find a YG song cover in the original key that is amazing but there are a lot of remakes that are awesome.

In my opinion, they did well for a very challenging BP song and dance. I give them props for taking this song on because it requires great vocals and intricate arm/hand and floor choreography. Of course they could never show the level of a BlackPink performance and it shouldn't be expected. The girl with the pink hair had the best and more stable vocals, the others do need to work more on theirs and the choreography needs more snap/energy. For such a difficult song, they did well. I hope with more training and hard work they find success, after all , the members of BlackPink trained hard for 4-6 years before they got their chance and with the experience of 4 more years of performing as idols shows why they are the #1 KPOP GG in the world. That's 10 years from training to now.
overall i felt like this stage had no energy... no one really looked that happy and i couldn't feel an aura or anything peculiar. the pink-haired girl's voice was so clear and her voice was just **chefs kisses**

Now I adore blackpink more than ever. They performed this song on Coachella professionally and effortlessly. The Pinkhaired girl did the best among the girls. Hanbyul looks depressing during this performance while the two girls looked very nervous which probably affected their performance.

I’m not a professional at preforming so don’t get me wrong, but I feel like they are more focused on getting the steps and movements perfect than the stage presence. Like you need to have good facial expressions and confidence/stage presence to make a stage look interesting and good. Respect to Blackpink for making the stages look so good, that’s how good training pays off. (No hate to the girls btw, I bet they would do amazing in future !)

Saw “don’t know what to do,” and clicked but as always unless the artist changes the song to match their vocals the songs are just lackluster. This is why YG artist are so unique their songs are made to fit each member to showcase that their not just a group but individual artist. I have yet to find a YG song cover in the original key that is amazing but there are a lot of remakes that are awesome.

In my opinion, they did well for a very challenging BP song and dance. I give them props for taking this song on because it requires great vocals and intricate arm/hand and floor choreography. Of course they could never show the level of a BlackPink performance and it shouldn't be expected. The girl with the pink hair had the best and more stable vocals, the others do need to work more on theirs and the choreography needs more snap/energy. For such a difficult song, they did well. I hope with more training and hard work they find success, after all , the members of BlackPink trained hard for 4-6 years before they got their chance and with the experience of 4 more years of performing as idols shows why they are the #1 KPOP GG in the world. That's 10 years from training to now.
