Try shifting the banshee before it tops out. They tend to pull really hard in the midrange. Not sure exactly how yours is setup but it always worked on mine.
I've had or run them all through my life. I've seen a bunch of Banshees lose races that they should have won easily. I've even seen a tecate' three smoke quadzilla like it wasn't a competition! My quadracer 250 blew away a Banshee with me on it but got owned when I rode the same Banshee against it. My comment was due to personal experience, not just talking smack.

That actually happened to my great uncle... he was out riding one day during the winter and his chain came off of the sprocket and he had to put it back on and his bike slipped out of gear and cut his thumb off but he didnt know until he got home that night because it was so cold he didnt feel it... his finger came off with his glove

One of the biggest arguements I see are on if a 250R or Banshee is faster today we find out haha, just picked up a decent 300EX today for $650 all it needs is a front sprocket and chain thing runs great, awesome vidyah dude!!!

I have rode all my life , I was raised in Dyersburg Tn right on the banks of the Mississippi river . All of us in that area ride and faster and baddest possible . I’ve owned about everything from Tri z , 200x , Banshee , you name it , a 250r is one 3 wheeler I have always wanted , and I have raced a many of them . 250r a Banshee don’t have a chance again a 250r . That 250r was built to haul ass ! I’ve had one that would smoke it off the line until the power band kicks in and that motor comes flat out alive . I built a hell of a 350x that was something to respect and it was supper fast , still no match against the power band ! One day , some day I’ll own one ! I have to say the 2 I respect is the 250r and it’s tween the 350x . Wonderful job guy , you can add 4 muffler on the Banshee and it just can’t catch it !
Seen the same big bore on a 250r at the Oregon dunes, its definitely at contender out there. That 86 is a collector's bike for sure. The banshee big bore is no slouch, and you can probably make it faster! Get up in there!

My raptor is in the shop getting the carbs rebuilt and the whole bike gone threw to be 100% ride ready. Going to have to come out and beat all these 2 strokes hahaha
@@TimeMachinesATVs You said it's a 1986 and I just noticed the rear brake caliper link arm when the mullet had the fake hand stuck in the chain and that's a 1985 brake setup and the 86 doesn't use that brake link. Not that it matters but one of the few differences between 85 and 86 if you're buying parts.
