Blaster is slow
I don't know about y'all's blaster but mine runs 70 in 4th gear..... Don't have enough land to get past fourth and I haven't taken it on the street yet. Had it about 2 months.... It's my first two stroke, growing up I rode a Honda 400ex with a little work done to it, was my buddies' bike... Been like 10 years since I rode it so the memory isn't clear but the power in this Blaster is ridiculous in comparison. Wants to pull out from under me.... would take a hell of a great deal on something for me to switch away from this one.
I'm 41 and still ride mine. Haven't in 2 years so these guys got me wanting to pull the cover off. It's an 03 I bought brand new and it's in about same condition as the one in the video. Cold blooded but its been a fun machine
@Nysiah- no blasters will outrun 400 ex stock modified they'll outrun a stock banshee I've owned them all

I got my first Banshee at 9 years old, I have no idea what my dad was thinking LOL. My best friend at the time got a Blaster and man was it a lot of fun between the two bikes. Thanks for taking me back!

I’d take either honestly. I mean it’s about having a reliable machine with the right upgrades for riders comfort ... but hey if it’s a two stroke it’s all hope.. 💪🏻 Banchee is amazing but once they act up they can be a bit finicky to fix. But it’s a weapon on the trails if your a good rider.
Oh yeah. Id prefer blasters all day. Easier to make cash on reselling too
Don't forget the Kawasaki 250 tecate 4-wheeler. I had a 250 tecate 3-wheeler that I bought used and it ran great! It was a 1984.

I’ve rode 2 Banshees the first one wasn’t running right so it kinda let me down but the second one was hands down the fastest quad I’ve ever rode and yes compared to any of the blasters I’ve had there’s really nothing to compare 🤣

Can't ever go wrong with a blaster my first ever quad got some good pickup and speed modded easy power makers. I've moved up to a 400ex/250r hybrid but can't ever go wrong with a blaster great ass trail quad. Love the content dude that banshee sounds mint!

Everything you said about the blaster that is actual facts is why I want one. I've never owned one but that's going to be a machine I want next. I've always had a soft spot for robust air-cooled 2 strokes. Air-cooled in general including old VW's. Other than that I love the way you guys poke fun at both bikes. Me and my son couldn't stop laughing. And now he really wants a blaster.

I owned one for 2 1/2 yrs, arguably the best all-round quad I've ever ridden. They're easy to modify, simple maintenance, and nimble for the woods, im trying to get another and do a $2300 build

I’ve had my far share with blasters I own 2 now I luv blasters but I’ve never owned a banshee you and the channel inspired me to get one sell my blasters and get a banshee for the summer
Having ridden quite a few quads I'm probably going to look for a banshee nothing beats a two stroke, and I've always wanted one
I hear ya. I like the blaster for same reasons but easier to maintain.
I would say banshees can be fantastic trail quads, and the only time I actually like the single carb. +4 w/ the 2 in 1 kinda helps that twin lag/heavy flywheel effect when you let off up top
They are fun machines but lots of tight woods around here not many open trails lol. They are a blast just about anywhere tho!

love the video. I've got a 2001 Yamaha blaster all I've done to it is taken the baffler out and it sounds so much more alive then that stock one. but that banshee would still smoke it.

Picked up a 1988 Blaster, going to fully build it.
The 06 Blaster is the best bang for buck fun quad out there. But I do love my 2020 yfz450r and those Raptor 700s are fun too. Where are you guys? We need to ride!

On my next Yamaha blaster build I'll look for a IT 465 and build it up, port n polish ect.. bump it up to the 500cc area. Stuff the big free air into the light frame. Everyone builds a banshee and they seem to always blow up.... maybe EFI might help from melt downs?

I know I'm commenting on an old video! My choice is the banshee cause I'm such a big dude. 6'8",276. So not just a banshee, but custom suspension for me, and widening & lengthening. Could sit here and name all my dream part's,but I won't. I've also been riding anything with an engine and some without since I was little. Man the wheelie contest in the video, and Blake busting it was classic! Grew up right next to the Oregon dunes, miss it but a lot of shit has changed since I was a kid in the 80's. Basing in Albuquerque NM, now.

I always thought blasters sucked because everybody says they do but i rode my friends and it was great and It was one of the funest bikes iv rode. Certainly fast enough for most people. Skinny guys like me anyway. Just need a grab bar on yours so the plastics have a chance.

Though I had no idea how to run a 2 stroke, that went as well as you'd think, thing was in terrible condition anyways, we're currently rebuilding it, and man, does the front look a lot nicer when there ain't 30 washers holding the headlight on, it's an '02 so no built in headlight.

What about those tecate 3 wheelers you picked up a while back it had sum sketchy swing arm work , I love those 3 wheelers , my self I would take the banshee because the of the dimensions the blaster is to small and stubby , I would buy one at a great deal but wouldn't go out looking for a blaster

Id Take a Banshee over a Blaster Any day but we don't need either one we have a Yamaha Raptor 660 with a Yamaha 600 twin snowmobile engine and a polaris trail boss 325 with a polaris Indy 400 twin snowmobile engine both are freaking fast

Had both growing up,I agree the Blaster is the better woods machine,but ill be getting another Bansheee soon. I want something that will hang with my buddies 450Rs; we live in farm country and can open them up for the most part. The State Police are mostly local boys anyways that ride too.

My daughter's blaster goes a little better, I just did port n polish and took 20 thousands off the head and used a higher compression piston that was 1mm larger it's at the limits of high octane pump gas. Plus went with a 34mm carb. Plus used a breathable screen air box lid and free flowing exhaust. It will eat a Polaris scrambler 400cc 2-stroke on take off and top end. I also went a tooth taller up front. 😉 Just wish it had a exhaust power valve.
