I feel I need to clarify a few things. First off, I don't create these videos to cause division in this community. The off-road industry has some of the most competitive and also stubborn individuals, lol. Let's not be close-minded at all. What I'm doing on this channel is trying to remove the biasm and actually just go with the facts. That's why I do all the testing and tuning on this channel. In my experience, and this video is clear evidence, with $2,500 worth of parts, you can have a Raptor performing like Flip's. Parts include, Full system empire industries exhaust, FCI intake, power Commander 5. Fuel controller, port and polished head with +1 valves, webcam, and 50 mm throttle body. Now let's start with a good set of pipes on the Banshee and the jetting kit to go with it. You're going to spend around $1, 500. That gives you $1,000 left over to purchase carburetors and reeds. Maybe even squeeze a port and polish in there, but that's probably not going to happen. With those mods, it's still not going to overtake Flip's Raptor. Bottom line, I do not believe a full bolt-on Banshee will be a full bolt-on Raptor.
I build drag quads I have a turbo 875cc raptor with nos and a big 7 and more mods it’s 200 hp and I have a fully built triple twister motor for my banshee and led pipes and a new frame etc the whole thing is aftermarket and it produces 240hp it smokes my raptor
Post a video on your yt
I understand the Banshee isn't the fastest thing in the world anymore. But what I know for sure, there will never be another ATV that could compete in its era like the Banshee did in its era. Not to mention the fact that the Banshee is an icon. No other ATV in the world could ever end up as iconic as the Yamaha Banshee, regardless of how fast or powerful it is.
I agree with you 100% on both performance during its era and the most iconic ever!
Of course but the 450 is way more dominant
@@steffdagreat7 Still much rather have a Banshee 😂
@@dozerfarms I don’t blame you but to each his own lol
Quadzilla wrecks the banshees
That didn’t hurt my feelings it’s a 700 modern quad built, a 4 mill built which is a mild build ported and tuned would be a race against that raptor. Hey a Tesla is faster than most sports cars and I wouldn’t take it if it was givin to me lol BANSHEE WINS EVEN WHEN IT DOEANT WIN LOL , great video
Hahaha that's true 😂 "Tesla faster and I wouldn't drive it" Love a Banshee too!! No matter what!

Sounds like you have a great setup!! Mine is at 72 horsepower so I was guessing my buddies was at about 10 to 15 more.
RUclipsr MICHAEL SABO VODOO BANSHEE a dust that shit......
I hope you don't take this as me being arrogant because I'm certainly not but there's no chance in Hell.
4 strokes are about 1-1/2 times more expensive to build then a 2 stroke....No valves no timing chain, springs etc...Do your homework b4 talking shit...lol love da vids no bad vibes here just saying 😉
Come on brother…you know what he meant. His point is the Raptor is fast and you really need to go “all in” on the Banshee to beat a bike like the one in the video.
Nope. You need to port and stroke a banshee to beat that raptor. Which is gonna be more than 3 grand.
@@DUNEATV you really don’t you could slap a 370 or 392 big bore kit in a banshee and it’s going to drive like a bat from hell. I raced a couple 700s before with a 392 big bore kit and they couldn’t keep up. Another thing a small big bore kit like the 370 & 392 is not that expensive. They range from 500$ to 700$. Now when it really starts to get expensive is a 421 & 472 big bore kit
@@kontrollme9034 That 370 and 392 would still get gapped by that raptor.

That test proved nothing, stock banshee with half the cubic inch vs built up raptor with twice the motor.
Hey, I mean it was still entertaining right??
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL yes sirrr
100%
I got both raptor cost big money to make 70+hp banshee 421 kit with Cub cylinder and Port good exhaust will annihilate Raptor
Lol 😆 that raptor is no where nere 100hp bro also dollar for dollar your not touching a banshee, when you want to see what 100hp looks like bring that raptor up here ,
It is very impressive what a modern technology Atv with a 700 cc engine from factory plus few extra modifications can do. But it is more impressive what a small engine with 1987 technology if you added just few cc about 71 cc (421) or may be few more what can dooo. Shees will still have half of the engine and CCs than a 700. And few more CCs will make 700 shit them self. My questio is aftee the big 3 on a craptor what mods they will be doing to beat a small 421 or 465 ? They will be ending putting a 2k 5mil crank. In real 300 FT drag racing there are no raptors you can count them with the fingers of your hands and thats because lf something. Just saying .two stroke all the way !!!!
You should do a collaboration with the Hellcat channel Banshee.
I would love too!!!
A raptor 700 should beat a 350 Banshee now take a 421 Cheetah or a 472 Super and u have a very upset Raptor owner and it dont take 15K to make either I have both along with Raptor 700r and Yfz 450r and I have less in either banshee then what I paid for either 4 stroke have and it cost 2x more to build a 4 stroke I might have 2500-3000K in each Banshee motor and I paid 12K for my Raptor new I paid 9K for my 450 new and I might have idk 6-7K total into either Banshee and the the 421 smokes a big 3 450 all day and my 472 shuts down any 700 Raptor
You have to do internal work for a banshee to beat anything. A 700r will get 80 hp easily with just bolt ons
dont think so 😭🤣
@@ric2267 Absolutely not a new raptor is only 45hp stock u aren't getting tops 55hp out of 1 without cracking the cases open so 80 somebody lying to you I been riding and building these bikes going on 40yrs man

@@ALDA2479 far more than 55 horsepower before opening up the case. Mine was dynoed at 72 horsepower so it has about 80 at the crank and flip was pulling away from mine with the equivalent about 10 to 15 more horsepower. So I would have to say he's around 90 to 95 horsepower. His is just bolt-ons.
It’s always a good day when quad nation uploads a video
Hahaha! That's brother!!! 🤘😎
I agree with everything your saying for the most part lol. There is a few mods to stock banshee that makes it a complete different machine that is good set of aftermarket pipes and an aftermarket air filter. It still will not beat that raptor but it will open that banshee up. Love your videos have blessed day
Agreed sir!
Yes, for sure!!! Before I took the pipes off it definitely had more power!
Disagree... iknow a lot off poeple got their banchee around 100 hp for couple thousand bucks.
Really??
U are wrong. Banshee with 60 horse will beat raptor 700 with 90hp so easy.. $1,500 U can have 80hp easy
Interesting 🤔
My 140hp banshee would have made that guy sell his raptor😂😂😂

I have 22 raptor 700 and I 100% agree I ridden a 110hp 4mm stroker banshee. Absolutely out of this world
I had a stock Banshee with FMF pipes and jetting and still lost to a bone stock Raptor 700R.

Yes sir!!!
but still I like more my ltr 😜
10-15k for a banshee build? Not sure about that- we have 4k in ours and well over 100. There are 4 mill builds that have 2500 in them. Plus weigh the two and I am sure the Banshee is lighter. Nice vid though.
That raptor is good for around low 70s hp to the wheels, that’s what raptor 700s with similar mods make, big 3 raptors make 55-60 to the wheels, the 80+ hp ones are packing more cc’s, they have more work, more $$$ done to them. Daniel at Cuervo racing isn’t building you an 80+ hp to the wheel raptor 700 for cheap, not even close. I feel like a 4 mill stock cylinder banshee making 70-75 hp is a good race against this raptor, pretty even. A 421 cub will leave it in the dust, you’re talking 90-100 hp to the wheels, and it doesn’t cost $10k-$15k, I paid maybe a third of all of that for my 421 build. Ask Daniel at Cuervo how much to make my raptor 700 make 90+ hp to the wheels? Its a lot of $$$ that’s for sure.
So when I referred to Flip's Raptor being 90 horsepower, I'm referring to crank horsepower. That would make his Raptor around 80 horsepower to the wheel. The reason I believe this is because of these reasons. A stock Raptor is widely accepted to have about 45 horsepower to the wheel. Mine dyno'd at 45 horsepower at Chris Hall Performance. Then when I added the big three I achieved 60 horsepower at the same dyno. Which you and others agree usually give you around 55 to 60 horsepower. Then I added the big bore 734 with high compression piston and laid down 72 horsepower. 72 rear wheel hp would give me about 80 horsepower at the crank. Flips Raptor beat my Raptor by a distance of which I would estimate approximately 10 horsepower, giving him approximately 82 hp to the wheel which is why I came up with the 90 horsepower Raptor. I hope this makes sense. If it doesn't, please let me know.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL I just watched that video, and yeah he’s a lot faster. In that case he has more work done than just a cam and port job because if you’re 70+ to the wheels, then he’s about a good 80+. Every dyno reads different, I’ve never seen a 700 make 80+ to the wheels with his mods, 70+ is usually the number, your mods put you in the mid to high 60s, the lack of porting and cam is holding you back in the top end. Sounds like the dyno where you live reads high or the air is so good that you’re pretty much getting free hp haha 😆.
@@STILLNIGHTPEARL his numbers are pretty spot on… id check with your builder to see why you’re leaving HP on the table. His mods with a good tune def check out. Join a raptor group and you’ll see similar numbers
My stock 2001 banshee beat a 660 raptor
I can believe that
It doesn’t take 10-15k to make a 90hp banshee. Maybe 5-7 grand.
I tend to have word salads like the POTUS and VP 🤣🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣 I would love to but I got to keep it stock my brother
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL do you at least have a second banshee with pipes? Cause you’re really missing out bro. You can always put the stock ones back on no one will ever no.
I really don’t want to coment on this, but it drove me crazy. Your information about the banshee being that fast is so wrong. The 660 was faster than the banshee and a stock 700 smokes it. When the yfz 450 came out it smoke the banshee also. Anyway fun video
It reigned victorious from 1987 to the 2000's. Yes I agree the Raptor 700 is certainly faster and I suspect a 660 is also faster. But outside of those two machines, and Godzilla, it was a king.
If you put aftermarket pipes on like, dmc, cpi you could easily keep up with him
No he won't. That raptor kept pulling throughout the race. Gonna need some serious mods
When I had pipes on my Banshee I had about 15 more horsepower so that landed me at about 60 horsepower which is equivalent to a big three Raptor but flips Raptor is far faster than a big three.
He wasn't hittin dem gears rite on that banshee he was pose to power shift dat banshee twin errything 350 350 is 700

My banshee don't have much money put in it. And either I'm smoking a 700 or we are side by side
Stock for stock they are about even. What mods do you have?
T5 open air box and mild port 20cc domes. Under 3k
And it's geared up
This video is ridiculous!! It’s like comparing a pinto to a vette!!
When I got my first 660 had a white brothers pipes on it and a k and m banshee had no chance
I will like to know what would happen if yamaha come up with a 700 cc two stroke. Just saying
OMG 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Theres a company that makes them already. 70-80hp stock.
how did he not let go of the throttle while shifting the banshee
That method of shifting is called power shifting. As long as you shift quickly, you can slam the gears while full throttle.
I'm still building a banshee.
Nice!!!
Sorry dude, but that reality is only in your garage. I have 3 banshees and two raptors and the hp on a Banshee is cheaper than hp on the raptor. I got 75hp on my Banshee for $3,500 in pump gas, it would make more on race gas. However, I spent almost the same amount on the raptor just on the empires exhaust, K&N, the DynoJet, and some other details, and never NEVER that Raptor smokes the Banshee. Don't get me wrong, the Raptor is a good platform, I have the best feom both worlds, but come on. There are a thousand combinations that you can do to a Banshee to get 70+ easily, with stock cylinders, stock head, stock carburetors. Here one real quick:
*Exhaust.($1,000).
*66.5 Blaster piston. ($200)
*4mil crank.($500)
*Cylinders bore and ported.($200)
* A small cut to the Head.($65)
*Carburator tune. ($150)
*Labor. ($500)
As you can see, less than $3k and you will make cry any Raptor with the same budget on it.
that's a lie bro empires exhaust, K&N, the DynoJet is no where close to 3k
I git both and raptor over better quad but banshee u can make way faster cheaper I got both built
I got a 6 mm stroker crank high compression piston stage 3 cam dual exhaust fuel custom intake Power Commander 5 and my Banshee is faster with pipes and ported head let alone strokeed
Of course it’s smoked because it’s STOCK!!!
That Raptor is monster built…..

what webcam did he put in that bike
He says it's a hdd 5050
You should make a video with the trail boss
You could put a 392cc big bore kit in it for about 700$

Mine was $1200 from Vito's..I'm sure you could find cheaper ones too...Also didnt see this video is a year old and you probably won't see this😂

I know right!!! His Raptor is a beast from hell!!!
Idk if “look at him just blow me” was PG but I laughed 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 LMAO!!! Right!
2k for 90hp raptor nope no way zero chance
I said $2,500 but yes it was completely possible. This is why, Big 3's are going to run you about a thousand and then to get the head job that Flip has it'll cost about another $1,500. My Raptor dynoed at 72 at the wheel which is about 80 at the crank and Flip is pulling away as if he is about 15 horsepower more so that would put him in the 90 range.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL the monster exhaust and fci alone are a grand a pc5 is another $400+ then you have the $375 for for cam valves and spring another $200 for cheaper set head work $500 which is probably low then your definitely not pushing 90 on stock bore so new piston and cylinder and the sce head gasket you’ll want with decent cylinder and good 14:1 piston talking around $600 plus $115 for the head gasket another $120 for head studs and to hold your clutch together at that power your going to need a lock out clutch which the cover and clutch alone will run around 600 unless you get a slingshot lock out which not sure on price of those at the moment but probably 275ish plus the new clutch you’ll want to install and I’m still missing stuff we’re getting closer to 4k and that’s going to put you in the 80hp range to the wheels so close or at 90 to the crank I’ve pretty much laid out my own raptor 83 hp to the wheel build minus the fact I’ve got a $1400 +4 crankworks crank
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL oh plus the bigger Throttle body and bigger injector which would add another $475
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL and whatever your dyno tune cost you mine runs 150-200 and mine has made pulls on multiple dynos consistent 80-83 hp pulls
@quadnationOG A head job is not a bolt ons. Come one, you know better than that. Don't lie
Where are you getting parts and who did the head work? Cost of parts alone is over $1,500 minus the cam. Then throw in another $2,000 for head port, oversized valves and cam. Seems like more than a couple grand. I'm actually curious because I found this video looking for ideas to build a 700 raptor.
So I'm not sure how much the big three with empire industries cost flip but my big three which was the full system monster exhaust, PC5 fuel controller and FCI intake cost me $1, 000. Flip then has about a $1,500 - $2,000 head which includes the port and polish, +1 valves, and web cam. His throttle body is bored so it doesn't cost nearly the price of buying an oversized throttle body. That brings us to a total cost of between $2,500 and $3,000. I know I referred to a couple grand in the video but I believe at one point I said $2,500.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL Yeah boring the throttle body would save quite a bit. Thanks
