The Raptor weighs 36 lb more than the Banshee and I weigh 50 lb more than my brother. So it took Megatron weighing a total of 86 lb more than the Banshee in order for the Banshee to hang with Tron. Yeah, there is something special about how a 2 stroke sounds and feels. They're just so visceral. I love the low maintenance and wide power of my Raptor (and I have it dialed in perfect). I still miss my Quadzilla sometimes though. My Zilla would probably smoke my Raptor. It had light engine tuning (port, polish, slightly higher compression head), even when the engine pinged at low RPM, you could feel it surge the quad forward. It was nuts but wasn't the most reliable. If you didn't run it at high RPM, it would foul plugs and then there was lots of other maintenance. the Raptor has had nothing but oil changes, and wear items replaced for 10 years.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL hey my friend beleive me it will be a different story port it and a cool head 19cc domes v forces 4 and a timing plate also a 15t on front and indiviual pods jet it arroun 300 to 320 and you tell me a story later
Looks like the raptor is quicker. Banshee usually got the hit but the raptor was reeling it in. The banshee did have more mph on top end but that doesnt matter to me. I'm not sure why people are saying if the banshee was ported if would be different. That isnt relevant to say if you mod one bike more, it would do better lol. This race is the exact reason banshee owners mod the hell out of their bike.
Don't banshees also have a 6 speed? It would make sense that it'd have more in the higher gears versus the raptor with a 5 speed. When the raptor was in about the middle of 4th is when the banshee really started pulling on it.
@@baycitybanshee5238 Lol you told him he would pick up 10-20hp with a port. I've never touched a Banshee, but that seems like a stretch. That's a massive gain, especially for a machine that only has around 40hp in it's stock configuration.
Very true, I always give the other rider the hit and as you noticed I was reeling him in up until top speed then my brother would pull away on the Banshee. The Raptor is a quick machine with that big three!
Its so strange to hear the rpm difference on the pavement compared to the dirt. I would thing a 450 would be in a bit of trouble if it can't rev up a bit off the line.
When they switched riders it wasn’t even a race! This comparison is the exact reason why us banshee guys mod them, mod for mod the raptor is just faster.
Exactly. The banshee shines when it comes to cost and simplicity when going further than the big 3 against any 4 stroke. I'm a Raptor guy, but would love to own a banshee for these reasons.
The Raptor is hard to beat with that big three! It responds so well to it! So the Raptor weighs 40 to 50 lb heavier than the Banshee and I weigh 40 to 50 lb heavier than my brother so when I'm on the Raptor and he's on the Banshee both machines are moving the same amount of weight which is why the banshee can stay with me when I'm on the Raptor. But once I switch to the Banshee the Banshee is now 40 to 50 lb heavier than the Raptor giving the Raptor the win every time 😭
Wow Is Right! Lol Man! I got mixed thoughts after all these runs on the pavement! Sorta shocked! One thing I know is that that Banshee runs good to only have pipes and of course correct jetting! And the top speed stock is insane! Definitely much respect to the Banshee! Again we can see how weight makes a difference too! I believe the scenario will really change when you put that 15t front sprocket on! Good stuff brobro!! Staying tuned!💪💯
What I expected. Only time the banshee won was when the raptor got a bad start. And when you switched riders, it wasn't even close. It doesn't look like an intake and jets will make up the difference. However, the best thing about the banshees, and any 2 stroke, is that they're waaay cheaper to mod when going in the motor when compared to any 4 stroke. I'm a Raptor guy, but I've always wanted a banshee for the cost and simplicity when it comes to modifying the internals. Time for top speed run on the banshee!
So I was on the Banshee for the second set of runs and I can tell you this... I remain in a given gear until I can feel the power drop off and at that point there's no longer any reason to continue to rev out that gear as you're actually losing horsepower the higher into the RPM range. Which is contrary to popular belief but if you're very experienced rider you can feel the power drop off and if you place the quad on a dyno even on a two-stroke once you get to a certain RPM range the power begins to plummet. In this specific scenario the Raptor actually had about four more horsepower but the Banshee weighed 40 lb less but I weighed 60 lb more than my brother so that made the Banshee about 20 lb heavier than the Raptor and with 4 horsepower less it allowed the Raptor to take the win. I hope I was able to explain this well and break it down to you and I hope that you are cool enough to not ignore the message and respond back with thoughts and opinions.
Love your vids. I'm finally taking the step and picking up a modded 700. My 660 has basically the same mods except its a 686 now. High comp, stretch, big 3, cam, and P&P. I can't wait to race them and see the difference. I'll post a video soon as I can.
Ur a terrible rider that's the difference.... lastly there's no many people who want a quad for straight line speed... the raptor will get smoked by any 450 and possibly 400 if the rider is skilled in the woods or any track. Raptors are meant for hill climbing straight line, same thing 20 years ago banshee straight Line up the hill.
What makes me a terrible rider? What would you have done differently to close the gap? Please explain because I'm open to constructive criticism, however, I'm not open to haters.
Also you just mentioned that the Banshee and the Raptor were both meant for straight line and up hills which is exactly why this is a perfect race because these are both top speed machines!
Raptor all day, every day! Megatron is definitely faster, yes the Banshee past the Raptor after a 1/2 mile but when is there ever a 1/2 straight line race. Anyways like I said before I'd take a Raptor over a Banshee 3 outta 4 times for several reasons. Don't get me wrong if someone wanted to just give me a Banshee I wouldn't turn it down. This Banshee was a good find but it's just not faster then Megatron. Also top speed of a Banshee is about the same if not the same as Raptor. I'm pretty sure it's 74 to 75 mph.

No it’s not actually that impressive it’s a 700cc with more mods vs 350 sized motor with just aftermarket exhaust. If you had raptor 350 vs a banshee 350 what do actually think would win
It does wear out the dog gears in the transmission faster than if you don't power shift. I'm fully aware while power shifting that I'm wearing out the transmission faster but I'm also doing it for a type of endurance test and review for when I tear the motor down.
Thanks brother!!! I appreciate your support!!! This system is the Monster full system exhaust with a standard length can. You can purchase it at Monster ATV Products.
Not in this case, my brother and I have battled it out over the years and our experience is level. Ultimately what you seen here was a difference in weight that caused the Banshee to lose... I weigh 40 lb more than my brother so when I was on the Raptor it gave the Banshee the cutting edge but once I jumped on the Banshee it caused him to take the win on the Raptor every time.
I want to see a time trial in the woods. You should pick a section of trails, and mark off a half mile section so you don't over heat them riding really hard. Using the same rider, and see what is real world faster. Yeah everyone can line up and bang gears in a straight line. How are these machines compaired to each other around corners. Awesome video these are my two fav bikes. I have a orange 17 raptor with the big three, and my buddy just got a piped banshee. I want to see if I can take him in the trails
Although I haven't done a time trial which I think that is an awesome idea and I'm going to try that but even though I haven't done that yet I can tell you the Raptor with the big three is going to do better in a time trial type of situation versus the piped Banshee. If he were to stay "on the pipe" the whole time then it would be anybody's race but all it takes is for him to come off the pipe one time and you're going to take the win because you have torque through your entire RPM range..

If you can put a 28mm or 30mm flat side carbs . And a 15t on front. You will tell me a story later. And it will be stiill a 350cc. Imagine if you go bigger . !!!
@@jevtec2286 bro that sounds so bad! I'm anxious to ride one with that set-up! Hopefully one day! Thanks for the advice!
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL yeah that a sweet banshee I would leave it stock if it was my atv just saying
Ok give the banshee a port job to even the race out. It should gain a bike or 2 and make it a riders race till top end then the raptors gonna run out of air.
I agree! Also that was pretty funny "raptors going to run out of air" 🤣 Truth!
I have a quad too
Nice! What model?
Change the gearing ratio on the 700, go up to a 15 tooth
I've considered that but I'm wondering if it would have the power to push through the RPMs to achieve a higher top speed with higher gearing.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL you would because you’ll have longer gears which means better top end
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL it most definitely would since the Raptor has gobs of torque. It would also make 1st gear usable.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL it definitely does have the power to pull it you’ll be surprised
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL 15 tooth on the front will work because you’re making more power and torque with the big 3 now, a lot of guys actually do that simple mod on mildly modified 700s and they love it.
The raptor pulls timing on top 😂
Either pulling timing or the Banshee just goes into beast mode at top end 😂😂😂
Raptor pulls timing in 5th gear that's your speed limiter.. Cuervo racing has a video on how to remove it
Great intro !
Thanks brother! Much appreciated! 👍
Good runs, 14 41 is stock gearing for the banshee. Once you port it, you’ll be blown away.
Really? What do you think it'll add to the Banshee 10 horsepower?
Depends what kind of port job you choose (trail, dune, drag) but anywhere from 10-20.
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL if you’re going to get it ported send it to Herr jugs racing
@@baycitybanshee5238 thanks for the info!
@@sethanderson9931 I appreciate the advice! I'll look into that company 👍
This is exactly what I’ve been saying for a loooong time. The Raptor 700 is a fast bike!
No it’s not actually that impressive it’s a 700cc with more mods vs 350 sized motor with just aftermarket exhaust. If you had raptor 350 vs a banshee 350 what do actually think would win
@@sethanderson9931 Bro seriously? It’s a twin cylinder two stroke...
@@DUNEATV you’re point being?
@@sethanderson9931 The Banshee maybe only 350cc but it’s a badass engine!
@@DUNEATV exactly why I love it because it’s a tiny motor that with a couple simple Bolt on mods it becomes a giant Slayer
Isn’t it bad having the gas pressed down all the way while changing gears?
It does wear out the dog gears in the transmission faster than if you don't power shift. I'm fully aware while power shifting that I'm wearing out the transmission faster but I'm also doing it for a type of endurance test and review for when I tear the motor down.
I can't get over how epic that intro is🔥🔥🔥
Thanks brother!!! I appreciate you 💯!! 💪😎🤘 Soon I'll be switching out some of the clips with Banshee content 😁
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL can't wait
New follower... what exhaust is on that 700?
Thanks brother!!! I appreciate your support!!! This system is the Monster full system exhaust with a standard length can. You can purchase it at Monster ATV Products.
Bro you need higher gearing and that would be a good race
some people are just better rider 🤘
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL and banshee was knowing not doing good in trails. That why Honda trx 250r was a better trail atv then banshee was
You think we could get a ride in this weekend bro
I won't be able to this weekend but the following weekend I'll be riding in Ocala Saturday and Sunday. If you can make it show up! 👍
You guys are having so much fun
Yes my brother, I would rather be doing nothing else!
I got both of these squads in this sixth gear definitely helps the Banshee for sure little mods go a long way out of Banshee they are insanely fast
Raptor 700 with a big 3 vs a banshee with some mods would be a badass video
Versus a stock Banshee?
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL no my bad a banshee with some mods! Lol
Vf4 , timing plate 4+ and pods would be really fun then if you ever want to go faster just do a drag port or 4 mil
What would say the cost of those mods would be?
To be honest I don't much about two-stroke mods. But I guess since I have a Banshee now is the time to learn! Thanks for the suggestion! 👍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL Look up Trailblogger. He's another youtuber with a Raptor and Banshee. His is one of the nicest Banshees I've seen. I'm sure he'll give you some nice tips for your quad.
@@racequad9 timing plate 40-100$ , vf4 230$ , pods 70-100$ with Outerwears

what’s the top speed on your raptor?
83 mph as is. 75mph stock.
The banshee with its amazing concert has come back hitting hard like a beast
Yes sir! Harder than ever on the pavement! I just can't believe how much it spins on the dirt to lose by that margin against the Raptor.
it must spin because of all the power its got
I love these type of vids
Thank you brother!!! I appreciate you 💯 🤘😎
Love that drift scene
Thanks brother!! This was the first video with the new and improved drift scene. Appreciate you taking the time to notice and leave a positive comment 😎👍
Take the air box lid off and try again
I would certainly have to make sure it's jetted up or else I'd go too lean but that is a good idea just to see what it does! Thanks 👍
@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL bro take the air box out and put some individual pods there !!!! If you an. Put 28mm flat side and v forces and pot it you will seee the hugeee difernece
Also a cool head with 19 cc it will put the compresion to the ruff !!!
The Banshee has its gearing on higher top speed so the Raptor beats it in aclaracion.
