Man Rafa story I can relate to it. Man tears come to my eyes just hear his story and how he now treat his family and friends well. Best interview I've seen on this podcast
Rafa Martinez was so direct. I learned a lot from this video, including focus what you're good at. (I need to stop trying to be good at everything and focus on what gives me the best benefits)
I would imagine the reason that he doesn’t stress about losing money is because he comes from nothing and knows it’s not the end of the world losing everything
Not feeling motions (such as stress) is a common trait of psychopathy (btw, individuals diagnosed with psychopathy are not necessarily bad people or criminals. In fact, in some areas, it's adventagous to be this way).
I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with 10k and I’m up with 128k in a short period of time . I was able to build a business from my returns 💚
I'm new to cryptocurrency and don't understand how it really works. how Can someone know the right approach to investing and making good profits from cryptocurrency investments?
As a beginner investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Myself, I’m guided by Alex Gomez. A widely known crypto consultant
yeah 💯 Alex was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Alex Gomez. He is my number one source when it comes to crypto and TA.
I started working with Alex back in June, and my financial goals have never been clearer. It’s like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
After a lackluster career in environmental consulting I went to UH to get my MBA to try to get into trading. I figured the richest people I had met were traders. Your story is so heart wrenching, yet motivating. My husbands family migrated from Nicaragua back in the 40’s. He has stories similar to yours, of the struggles of his parents in this new land. They persevered and achieved their dream of a home, employment, freedom of religion, etc. Huge Kudos to your parents for their determination and bravery - and to you as well! It’s a beautiful story. (We could be related, who knows!) Thank you for sharing.
Gary Vee talks a lot about the "gift" of growing up poor as a child of immigrants. It forces a "hustle" mentality for the family and the kids learn it too (work hard or don't eat). I grew up in a typical middle class white family and if I am being honest, I feel comfortable, but complacent and hard to stay motivated. Don't get me wrong, I don't wish my family was poor, but I wish I had an inherited "hustle" in my blood. Some sort of survival mechanism engrained so I would work tremendously hard, and not coast through life.
Wow, Rafa actually sounds like quite a cool down to earth guy. We are privileged to be where we're at. I will think how to not take this for granted. Thank you Rafa. Steel brain!
Wow great interview! I had a boss that was from El Salvador and he had a full time job at a prison and a landscaping and construction business he wasn’t a millionaire but dude was an animal! Definitely reminds me a lot of this guy cool as hell just couldn’t speak English very well at all but laughed all the time!
I've heard this question answering "becoming a millionaire advice" many many times, but Rafa nailed it so well. 42:22 It's so true, I just love to see people in their element....super passionate about their work... its intoxicating. Almost all of them are either very happy, rich or sometimes both doing happy and rich doing that work. A person who is creative and arty should NEVER get a job working with numbers. Not only does it crush your soul, you will never earn a million dollars like the next person who loves working with numbers. Likewise, a person great at numbers shouldn't try to be the next Picasso.
Thank you I feel a lot of people don’t understand this. You can teach yourself anything in this life but there’s always that one thing you’re just naturally attracted to be good at
I love to hear the memories of a child/childhood. What drives us to do for others ALWAYS touches me. Maybe because of the vulnerability it takes to bring up those memories & the strength it takes to pull it off. The innocence is still there and it's beautifully touching. 💖
This dude is the truth! He is as laid back as they come! Good for you and your fam. I own a business and I trade options a lot what he is saying he so true and relates to what we do!

Fantastic interview Noah. Rafa impresses me in many ways. As a teacher, I love his message to find what you are good at, and that also that kids should, whenever possible, earn the things they are fortunate to have. Keep up the great work!
You're not good at anything when you start. We're all born clueless. It takes us a while just to learn not to shit and piss right where we stand. My advice to kids is you can learn anything, and you can become good at just about anything. If you're struggling with learning, you just need a better learning method or a better teacher. This is not a jab at you. just speaking from personal experience. Teaching is an art on its own, highly undervalued. Unfortunately.
I can relate to Rafa. I was a migrant to the US as a little kid as well, thank god not due to war. But I remember at our elementary school in NJ there were kids that came that were refugees from El Salvador. I remember this one girl named Maria that was put in my class. When you feel like you’ve hit your rock bottom, there’s nowhere else to go but up. Good job Rafa, you’ve made the Hispanic community proud.
I needed to hear this, god bless
What a guy to meet at the track! Thanks for following up with him 👏🏻

What a kind humble guy. He deserves, all his success.
Rafa Martinez, what a beautiful person you are, you have my huge respect -that humility and goodness in you is just great.
What a guy! Wish him the same happiness that he's distributing to his loved ones. Very few have the sense that money is a means to better experiences, not a store of value that you're unable to use for your entire life.
RAFA MARTINEZ IS CONTRIBUTING TO THE RAPID DESTRUCTION OF OUR PLANET. He's investing in NATURAL GAS... Natural gas is not renewable energy. Renewable energy sources, by definition, come from naturally recurrent, auto-replenishing processes, and gas is a fossil energy source that will not be replenished in our lifetimes or indeed many, many human lifetimes. The main compound of natural gas, methane, is a strong greenhouse gas contributing to 3% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the United States, for perspective.
Also, the processes associated with natural gas sourcing and drilling are environmentally problematic. When geologists seek out natural gas deposits on land, their vehicles frequently upset area vegetation. Air pollution and community disturbances are direct outgrowths of well drilling operations, and natural gas production can result in contaminated water that has to be carefully managed.
Sometimes natural gas is produced but has a high concentration of toxic hydrogen sulfide or other problems deeming it unsuitable for transport or sale. In these cases, natural gas is burned or “flared” at well sites, producing CO2 and many other compounds. Still, CO2 is not as potent a greenhouse gas as methane, making flaring marginally better than releasing natural gas into the air.
From the thumbnail thought it was Alex Hormozi 😂😂😂
i thought it was chum lee from pawn stars

I really respect Rafa and what he's done. I was tearing up listening to his story. Thanks for sharing.

This is my favorite video of yours! He is humble and knows he is blessed. I also believe the reason he is not stressed is because he has had nothing. That is a big lesson.
I am Salvadorean as well, and I am also climbing the ladder as an entrepreneur.
I love how humble he is, and I share the same experiences leaving in El Salvador under flying bullets in the war as a kid.

A beautiful rags to riches story and moreover a very strong message. Thank you, Noah, for sharing this!

Rafa deserved the success, his story is mind-blowing, thanks for this very human and emotional interview of an "NG High Roller"
Amazing guy who truly appreciates the sacrifices that his parents made for him. Good luck to you, Rafa.

I would imagine the reason that he doesn’t stress about losing money is because he comes from nothing and knows it’s not the end of the world losing everything
What a great guest. I am deeply impressed by his achievements and his courage to show up and be vulnerable. Respect.
I've come across this name before, is he really reliable?
yeah 💯 Alex was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Alex Gomez. He is my number one source when it comes to crypto and TA.
I started working with Alex back in June, and my financial goals have never been clearer. It’s like having a strategic partner for my money with a solid track record.
Hes a real one. Respect, can hear the pain in his voice
This dude is amazing; it's so nice to see good, deserving people succeeding in this world. Good on you man.
After a lackluster career in environmental consulting I went to UH to get my MBA to try to get into trading. I figured the richest people I had met were traders. It's a tough group to get into and I never got my shot. Such is life.

I'm so grateful to have stumbled upon your video and hearing Rafa's story. Currently in my mid twenties and I've hit the lowest point financially in my life. But I already know that the only way from here is up and it will get better, as long as I put the effort towards it. Videos like this can really help to change a persons mindset and help them find the motivation they need to change their own future for the better. Again, thanks for the great video!
You got this 💪🏾

You got this, i recently took a turn for the worse - was doing extremely well, making great money and my job gave us a 70% paycut. Lost everything basically and had to start over. The only way is up my friend
i'd love to hear what lowest point in your twenty's was or is
many in their twenties are in the lowest financial point in their life. You are in the perfect position to follow your dream. Much much tougher when you are in your 40's with a mortgage, wife and kids. Do it now!
I learned the hard way the opposite way that doing what you are good at but miserable in backfires on you. I am happier learning to do better at what is interesting and worthwhile.
Another Bomb interview, Defo one of the best on the channel. Shout out to Rafa.
Thanks ryan. Agreed. Rafa is legendary

Rafa, straight up inspiration & such a truly humble man. Thank you for the time doing this interview and sharing with us all. Respect.
Love this guy, how raw and emotionally real is this dude.
Energy trading is insanely competitive. These days, without an ivy league degree and/or connections it's borderline impossible and without a firm you're stuck directionally trading.
Not that hard. Any good college in math, economics, Finance etc with good GPA and competitive character will do well
Bro… this hit me.. thanks for sharing your story man. Proud to have you here in this world brother.
None of the people you see in these videos got rich from watching someone's video and purchasing a course. NONE.

He's such a humble and down to earth person despite having everything at his fingertips. He's so generous and I cannot sense a single cockiness moment during the interview. From this day, he's now one of successful persons that I look up to. I'm doing trading now and very well have deep interest in cars and racing, I can find some similarities here and there.

Rafa is my hero with regards to trading natural gas. He is the one who inspired me.
I've heard this question answering "becoming a millionaire advice" many many times, but Rafa nailed it so well. 42:22
It's so true, I just love to see people in their element....super passionate about their work... its intoxicating.
I don’t know, it seems to have worked for Hunter Biden.
Hope he is using his money to help his people back in El Salvador. 🙏🏼

This is my real name and story Maurice Guiheen I have been very impressed with you story I am very proud of you proud to hear you hear from you.
I can relate to Rafa. I was a migrant to the US as a little kid as well, thank god not due to war. But I remember at our elementary school in NJ there were kids that came that were refugees from El Salvador. I remember this one girl named Maria that was put in my class. She used to cry all the time. Her parents sent her to live with friends that were in the US. I felt so bad for her. I was the only one she spoke to as we both spoke Spanish. I remember that there used to be a name, that I cant remember now, for these refugee kids. His story is amazing. How you can come from war, leave everything behind then succeed, truly inspiring.
Thanks for sharing.
