That floppy centre bracket would be a deal breaker for me. I could not accept that because it's an engineering fault by a leading bike tool manufacturer. Thanks for showing us these things. It helps making purchasing decisions.
I feel sorry that You have to deal with that expensive wobble rig now. The whole thing should be tight and rigid and easy to adjust. The height adjustment tubes are looking very 'Chinese' to me. If that rig would be mine I would send it back with a fitting comment. Who would have thought 'Park 'Tool' sells crap like that to professionals. The learning never stops. Cheers.
I just got this Repair stand and it does wobble like what you shown in the video. Could you do a short video on which nuts and bolts you tighten it to solve the wobble issue? Thanks for the review!
Hi Ronald, thanks for the honest review and pointing out the excessive play in the main pivot. Have you tried adding washers in between the joints on either side? I see from the exploded parts diagram this area can be dismantled.
Thanks for the update Ronald. Agreed considering the price and REPUTATION of Park Tool the stand should be better assembled. Especially as this is their top of the range PRO stand they supply to big teams. Any chance you can make another short video to show how the play has decreased now that you have tightened the bolts/nuts? Please? I am considering one of these stands myself.
Thanks for the unboxing Ronald. I have the Feedback Sports stand and I think you need to return this. The feedback sports stand is designed much better except for the front axel mount.
Hi Ronald, any reason why you choose this one over the Feedback Sports sprint stand? I think the build quality is better and the red color would match your workshop better.
There's a lot of misinformation about the 'wobble' in the stand. It's perfectly normal and I really don't see how it causes any problems, I certainly didn't notice any building a bike with this stand. The rotating head that supports the rails pivots on a threaded bolt that is tightened through the middle but doesn't clamp the head unit. The clamping is done by the quick release mounted above but due to clearances for the threaded bolt there is a few mm of movement allowing you to rock the bike slightly front to back. It's nothing to do with anything not being tightened properly it's just that they don't treat it like an axle with bearings because there is no need for that. More so than the clamp style stand this one does take a bit of getting used to but once you figure it out I believe it is a much better stand than the Feedback Sports (and I have both).

Takuan thanks for the comment, I wouldn't have bought it knowing this

Thank you for this honest review

Thanks for the review!
the ones that connect the head to the main shaft
Ronald Kuba are you referring to the upright collar or the Pivot Bracket ( which connect the beam pivot bracket)?

doug 1 it turns out that every single bolt was loose. I would have thought that assembly is included in the price

doug 1 sure, maybe it won't be a standalone video, but I will do an update

pikachhu you may be right

Mark van Suchtelen I chose this one because of the extended adjustability, but it might have been the wrong decision
I think the sprint stand had at least the same adjustability if not more. I might me one in the next month's and if so let you know my verdict
Good workshop

It's annoying and not what it should be at this price. The Feedback is far superior.
Wait I thought u gonna place yr dirt bike on work stand?
read the manual. It will make your life easier. I have the Feedbacksports sprint stand and it goes up faster and weight is 12-15 lbs.
I didn't have the money to buy one of these so I ended up making my own
J S I don't have time for that, so unfortunately that's not an option
Yeh I totally understand, I did mine as a school project so didn't actually take much time.
the feedback sport stand is far better
