    Hey what's up Desmond. Do purchasing contracts come with tax exemption certificates to use when purchasing items you will be selling to the government, since the government doesn't pay taxes?

      To be a successful consultant, you need to know everything about contracting and my program shows you everything. Plus we meet on zoom every Monday to coach and guide you. So if you have any questions while going through the program, I’ll be there to help you every step of the way!

    Is it much harder on average to start your own reselling business from scratch instead of just partnering with someone who has an unrelated private sector business already? Are we set against much greater odds by starting at the bottom alone? Please? Waiting on my partner to get his business prepared for contracting has really held me back. But I’m afraid I won’t be able to get business credit on larger orders by myself.

    But how do you convince a company to hire you as a consultant without having any experience winning contracts first?

    • @DesmondAcha
      @DesmondAcha  2 года назад +3

      Your value proposition is your knowledge. That’s why I said know what you were talking about before reaching out to them. Because you want to be confident and be able to explain government contracting/the opportunity in a way that makes sense for them to give you a shot.
      If you have no experience, and don’t know what you’re talking about, they will never give you a shot. But if you have knowledge and need the experience, they’ll provide the experience and you provided knowledge and thats you value add to the relationship.

      @@DesmondAcha Thanks, man. And I’ve studied obsessively for many months, too; often hours per day, and several free courses. I can talk confidently on the subject now. I know how to bid. I generally know how to niche down and now how to market myself. I even have skeleton proposals written and am waiting for my friend to get DBA paperwork filed with his business. Which is no fun to rely upon someone to do. I would rather start how you had, and rely upon myself, thanks to help from teachers like yourself.
      But I’ve been devouring material including your RUclips videos among my first introductions back then and even now. So far it just has felt like the less someone knows about contracting already, the more they have some friend who winged it and failed flat so now they think it’s too hard, or they just have all these misconceptions about how impossible or too good to be true it is despite liking the idea of making money. Even my friend and business partner is skeptical; calling the contracting business we’re making a mere passion project of his instead of a real aim and focus although it’s got much lower risk and overhead cost than almost any of his other projects.
      So overcoming that kind of skepticism without experience, for me, has been a real challenge. Do you only suggest calling businesses, then, and just asking if they’re interested in making money in contracting? Since I haven’t focused on consulting, would you have a video outlining this in detail which I’ve missed? Or could you make one for us? Please? Thanks for your time in any case.

      Oh. And actually, please, only if you would: are there any types of businesses (or other details) to factor into considering a potential client as better to target for a consulting proposal?
      And what has changed now for you in terms of finding consulting clients more efficiently due to insight? And could that be equally applied if a person has no experience like myself and some others maybe reading this?

    Would I need several different llcs? Or do I start consulting company because I’m being the middle man. I really am stumped on this 😣
