WOW! Talk about a grail piece! And, it's one of the first 1000 as well! A 1-1000 A-Series RO is my grail watch and always will be. Even if it's the only watch I get to own for the rest of my life, it will have been worth it.
Very nice videos! Just discovered your channel. I have the 15400 and love the look and size on my larger wrist. I've never seen an original so thanks for the review...beautiful piece. Hard to believe this is a 40 year old watch
+Arthur J I always feel like that and am always wrong ;) That being said, it's tough to do much better than a good Royal Oak, so I completely understand. Wear it in good health! (and next time buy it from me)
Yes,it is still not 50th anniversary:),but nevertheless, great review of a truly iconic watch! And finding A series in a condotion like this is almost mission impossible...thanks for such a great review!
good ones 30.000 Euros and up. b condition still under 25000. service takes up to 6 months. A series run up to A1 - A2000. 2000 are made worldwide. in the video he forgot to mention about the date wheel and the special font for numbers, which is another differentiation from the modern ones.
Hey Steve, keep up the good work. I am realy enjoying your channel! My name is Kevin , i am a watch lover as far back as i can remember. After owning a couple of breitlings, panerai's ect i grown up in the watch world I no own a couple of jaeger-le Coultra's and i have set me mind on a fp journe chronometer blue. You say in almost al of your video's that you like watch discussion, well i have one. Pattek is the number one in the watch world, if you ask any one but, pattek has used jlc mouvement in a lot of there watches. The same goes for AP, but these brands are muts higher ranked then jlc is. Whey is that? To me using a movement of a other watch manufacture is cutting corners. As far as i can remember jlc has never used other movements but there own. I like to read your commend on this.
Nice Thanks 👌🏻 Will they ever make one in just Stainless steel, with absolutely no gold in it ? Hope one for 2020 🤞🏻 *More Videos of Royal Oak* Please 😊
Can you tell me where I could start looking for unrestored Royal Oaks and what starting price should I expect for vintage unrestored pieces? Thanx a lot in advance!
AP made 1,937 ROs in the A series. A lot of collectors make a big commotion over the A series, but they made more A series ROs than almost the B, C, and D combined.
+Brandon McIntosh It's essentially art produced in multiples rather than singulars, at least for this particular model. The brushed stainless steel, the dial which was made by the Stern family at the time, the contribution from 4 major watch houses into the design of the movement (one of the thinnest automatic weight movements).
That's what I was thinking because the date window on AP's is usually the same color as the dial. At least that is what I thought but I am more familiar with Rolexes so I could be wrong
Admirable how AP has stayed the course with the Royal Oak. This A series is mint, thanks for the vid!
A very unique crown. While I would not like it on its own, it fits this beautiful time piece splendidly.
I absolutely lust for this watch. Planned on buying it, but when i read online about the servicing of these things...
don't worry they changed the prices. in the old days you would pay around the 3 - 5 k dolalrs. now a total service is around the 1500 dollar
1500 dollars every three to five years is not the worst thing.
Definitely my favourite AP of all times. I'm dreaming to own one :)

My dream everyday watch ! Great review as always
Wow. Changed my mind on this. Looks great on the wrist.
Looks even better in the flesh!! Nothing else quite like it
Outstanding piece, thanks for sharing!
Awesome watch. Thanks for review
nice video, thanks for sharing and looking for more.
From what I've read from AP Chronicles, Gay Freres made all of the bracelets for the 5402. Maison Maspoli makes the current bracelet for the 16202.

Is the car on you picture a 919?
By many websites there shluld only be 1000 of them but i have 1024
Beautiful watch! I must have an AP. Great video and good quality.
"UM" Nice watch.
Just got my 15400. I know I'm kidding myself, but I feel like this could be my last new watch in three years.
+Arthur J I always feel like that and am always wrong ;) That being said, it's tough to do much better than a good Royal Oak, so I completely understand. Wear it in good health! (and next time buy it from me)
I feel like the bracelet is better than the watch itself. I'd love to get that bracelet on like a grand seiko, zenith, or omega.

This is more important than any 50th anniversary this is literally the grail for an ap collector
We need more videos! We demand more videos!
Duggerdean You're right. I'll drop another one this week
Answers:it is 39mm with automatic movement from jaeger le coultre.
Great commentary. Thank you.

my god! what a lovely piece!😢😵
Dream timepiece. The price for the vintage 5402 start from 30.000$!
Not anymore
You mentioned that the original Royal Oak created in 1972 was reintroduced for its 50 Anniversary in 2012; it was the 40 Anniversay!
Demetrios Gamas BEST REPLICA ALL SWISS MOVEMENTS !!! MIRROR CLONE WHATSAPP ONLY: +447934825802 I SHIPWORLDWIDE

Best bracelet ever!
Thank you so much for sharing watches that I will never be able to get. Especially the A Lange and Sonne! (Hint hint lol)
A quick fact, everybody hates the face and shape of this watch when it came out.. they really did go “crazy” for it :)
Nice review, would like to have known info about the dimensions and the movement.
Great review, subbed!
i think the A series doesn't go for less than 40k nowadays
Nice Thanks 👌🏻

*More Videos of Royal Oak*
Please 😊
This and most of them are just steel
Very nice watch but it looks like it's gonna break it you hold it tighter on your hand. Prefer by far the newer ref
Now prices are sky high
blue reflection on this glass?? or non-blue reflection?
Man, if you are going to make a video of A series 5402 (even if it was polished) maybe have a decent manicure before!
Why no mention of the movement?
Loved it! What year is the watch in the video, reference?
sorry, just finished watching the video! hahah how big is it tho?
is there a 37 mm brother? what would its serial be?
Can you tell me where I could start looking for unrestored Royal Oaks and what starting price should I expect for vintage unrestored pieces? Thanx a lot in advance!
Mac Arows About $6000
At 8:48, Are you sure about that? lol too funny dude! Great watch but I’d rather have the Bulgari version.
Mine is a 1024 what can the price be
this was major advance for swiss companies, selling "luxury sport" steel watches at similar prices of gold watches changed the industry.
By many websites there shluld only be 1000 of them but i have 1024

can you explain what makes a AP so exspensive

Does your friend want to sell it?
But mine is kind of thinner but still heavy
Mine has a diffrent lock
selling?
How much mm this watch??
39mm
I have a 1024
how much is this watch?
Lisa An This vintage and in this condition with box and papers would run around usd25k.
Assuming it wasn't polished.
25000-30000$😞
Nice review, but cut your nails before the next video.
Quartz is way better I wish more high end did them quartz all the way baby
Mastiff Myths, Legends and Lore: you’re an idiot.
Richard Burns and you don't know anything about time keeping good day sir
Mastiff Myths, Legends and Lore: “good time” or “accurate time”....if you want accurate time you can use your iPhone....you snooty fuck
I said good day
Mastiff Myths, Legends and Lore: no comeback? I though so.
replica ?
+Andreas sanchez He's the cofounder of mb&f, so I don't think so ;)
That's what I was thinking because the date window on AP's is usually the same color as the dial. At least that is what I thought but I am more familiar with Rolexes so I could be wrong
Camelot in modern yes, but this is a Vintage and the Original as a weite Date, so is all correct 👌
That background noise ( sweeping of the leaves) is unbearable.
How much can I get one for?
Average AP price is 30'000 dollars
