    I wanted to fix some shirts I have that are like this, but I was afraid of undoing the seweing and redoing it myself cause they're done in overlock stitches that I can't really replicate, but it never crossed my mind to just... Not remove the extra fabric.

    I love the video but im kinda confused what do you do with the extra fabric that is next to the stitches do you fold it then sew it or do you cut it off. Because in the video the extra fabric was just gone and the shirt was smaller. great video though :D

    • @YourAverageGent
      @YourAverageGent  3 года назад +10

      I left the extra fabric as it is so that next time if I wanna make it looser I can take the stitches out! But you can definitely cut it off if you plan to taper it permanently! ☺️💪

    Nice tutorial! I like that there is no 'cutting' but I guess there is extra material in the slack that would cause discomfort. I will try this with a t-shirt I just bought. It fits perfect in the shoulders and chest (wide) but is super slack around the abdomen which I hate. Everyone says no it looks fine but when I look at it I really hate it and wanna rip it to shreds! Gotta try atleast your method before I do that!

    • @YourAverageGent

    • @YourAverageGent

      The only way is if you make it into a short sleeve shirt bro! If not you’ll have to cut off the cuff to make it shorter.

      yeah I was wondering this too. seems like if you don't, it could feel weird with all the extra material against your torso, but then again if you do it could feel weird because of the raw seams against your torso?
